I have stayed away from Uniqlo due to quality not being there and going more "indie" with smaller companies paying for the higher quality, BUT if this is the start of a new era for Uniqlo. I am excited to be a customer once again and welcome this new style!! :D
My fiancé worked at Uniqlo during university and was surprised when moving to Canada that it was seen as 'cool' abroad. Funny enough, even Japanese people seem to view the brand differently now! Great video as always. It was awesome running into you in Harajuku five years ago-hope our paths cross again someday
Feels like Uniqlo men's has always been super conservative because, in Asia at least, Uniqlo is like the go-to shop for normie guys who work business casual office jobs. Uniqlo was strongly associated with the Normcore thing for the longest time. Also, most of its Asian market is in countries where it's simply too hot to layer too much except indoors, which limits the sales potential of anything past Airism t-shirts and polos and shorts really.
I would love for Uniqlo to use noble textiles made with 100% wool, cotton, flax, linen, cashmere, and silk. With that said, I'm not stupid. For instance, there's no way to mass produce clothing with quality silk. Blends are necessary but, again, make blends with noble textiles. No polyester. No nylon. No rayon. No acrylic. No polyamide. No microplastics. If they must, charge more for higher quality materials.
I have been super pleased with the Uniqlo:C items I've purchased. In particular, there was a squishy army green purse last fall and anytime I carry it, at least one person compliments me on it. I also got it in off-white!
I've spent close to $1000 on Uniqlo stuff since the start of the year (rehauled my wardrobe) and I think they have a lot of good stuff. But they have really started to push synthetics. the Uniqlo C that dropped last time and the JWA collab were both riddled with synthetics. I wish they would just do a "premium" line with natural fabrics.
This new direction for Uniqlo looks exciting. I’ve always liked Uniqlo for basics and have some favorite pieces that I’ve worn for years. That last coat looked really nice. The only problem is that there aren’t any Uniqlo stores near me and it’s sold out online!
I have to say, after reading about Keller, I rushed to check out the men's collection-only to be disappointed by how limited and "basic" it felt (for now). As one of the “taller” guys with an athletic build, I’m not afraid to try pieces tailored for women, especially when they pair well with my Yohji pieces. But most don’t fit quite right-and sizing up for shoulder room in dropped-shoulder styles often ruins the draped look, losing the unique features that make the style special.
That was the struggle even at my height! While I could size up it was JUST barely enough and the men’s offering was a bit uninteresting for myself compared to the styles I usually employ. For those with more “conventional” styles I suppose it’s great. But for those with more experimental styles the men’s left a lot to be desired. - Reggie
It never fits my body type (big chest and shoulders but athletic) and the materials just don’t excite me. Give me silk, wool and interesting natural blends for draping and comfort
Uniqlo’s recent stuff has been very good and I’ve been purchasing more and more from there. I think in general a lot of popular brands are coming back from a slump
Never been over the moon for anything I’ve purchased from Uniqlo and with their recent price hikes, makes it harder to go towards them, often can find cheaper prices and better quality elsewhere
C was initially pretty cool, this is my first year with Uniqlo, but all the stuff I was interested in disappeared so fast. Kinda ruined it in my minds eye. However, for my style and taste, I thought the JWA and U this F/W was WAY better. I loved those collections and I’m extremely impressed
Honestly after looking at Uniqlo again for the first time in about a decade, I really wasn’t interested in the design collabs. not only were the styles pretty boring, but the use of synthetics in nearly every piece was disappointing. I picked up a pair of the men’s C sweats and U cords (I’m a woman) but mostly bc I needed some new lounge wear. I think of Uniqlo as good for clothes to wear at home or errands, but not in terms of adding to my style.
I have their wool sweater cardigan cotton shirt and linen shirt.and i'm happy with my purchase.but i stay away from their synthetic material.even cotton blend with spandex.i hate it.
Aint a damn thing wrong with acronym prestos. Was and still is a great shoe. Also if were doing brand suggestions id like to see rocky mountain featherbed.
Natalie Martin is a youtuber who has great style and who partners w Uniqlo a lot. I remember last year she styled up some outfits that I really liked, but when I went to the store, I was quite disappointed with the quality--and this has not always been the case with Uniqlo. I am tall, so for me men's uniqlo fits better. I was in Japan last year and Uniqlo is always marked so cheaply at secondhand stores--like 500 yen for a shirt, lol--so I got a few things.

same here, spent quite a lot on Uniqlo this year, I love the clean and sophisticated looks but i'd like to see more use of organic materials
@@ROCKSTAR3291 Yupp. Like the pleated wide pants that are so popular. I just want them in 100% cotton.

Buying uniqlo in Japan is AMAZING, especially yen being so cheap right now.

just reminds me of a watered down uniqlo jil sanders Collab
And they are trying to make ALL of Uniqlo a watered down Jil Sanders collab.

They just removed the 100% cotton chinos from the men collection. My interest dropped by 70%.
Only bad thing is, Only japan always have the good piece
My boi Regs is been hit so hard by JPY vs USD inflation that he thinks $130 for a trench is expensive! Just kidding bro. Love ❤
