I'm not even a drummer And I love your videos, Hugh Quality Music Channel right here. Greetings from Mexico
Thank you so much and what instrument do you play BELSEVUU?
Wei Lung Wong i'm a guitar player! But in order to be a better musician I'm trying to understand how other instruments works specially drums and bass. May i suggest you a song for a next video? I would love to see your lesson with the song Exile from Tesseract. Im currently sharing your channel to my musician friends
I play a bit of guitar and bass too, yes you may suggest but I only seriously take requests from my Patreons as a reward for their extra support. Although I did use Tesseract's Exile as the main example in my video about "How to figure out and transcribe songs" Thank you for sharing my channel anyway :)
This was so clear. I was trying to learn the guitar and this really helped clear up my confusion.
Wow cool, glad I was able to help a guitarist. And thanks for the lovely comment David. All the best to you playing the whole song!
Lol, well I wasn't a drummer before, and now I am, so thanks for that!
Whao welcome to the drumming community :)
Probably the best groove breakdown I've seen on UA-cam :')
Hands down best drum teacher on UA-cam 🙏🏼
Nono I can't be, but I appreciate your compliment, if you learn something I'll have done my job haha
Love your videos! Studying piano in college picked up drums on my own. UA-camrs like you have helped me bridge the gap from my piano musicianship to drums. Thanks Wei. Thanks Patreon Supporters. You have a permanent subscriber in me!
I did some piano before becoming a drummer, really glad that my videos help you and thanks for your subscription Semper!
Nice break down
Thank you !!
Awesome video, thank you so much!!!
You are so welcome!
Awesome video!
Thank you!
You are officially my favorite music channel.
Love your work buddy! \m/
I love that you're still watching my channel! Keep rocking!
Dude you made it sound so easy. Great video!!
Thanks Rajat!!!
Thank you so much for posting this video! ❤❤❤
Been wanting to learn this n i saw ur video n it makes me happy some1 took the time to break it down. Your the man! 🤘🤘
I'm glad it helped, I was thinking of making the next part of the song, the bridge, would that be something that would help you too?
YES, that would be SIC! 🤘
this dude is soo cool
your drum lessons are very well thought out. also love the editing
Thanks Dan I hope you find this useful. And the editing is what I'm trying to do differently around here as compared to other youtube drumming tutorials.
Awesome vids and really helpful! Takes away the hardship of explaining the intricacies to my 4 nearly 5 year old daughter...she obviously can’t play these grooves but she loves trying to play to the slower parts.. great technique and great lessons thanks bro!
Whao, your 5 year old daughter will certainly become a great drummer one day if she can understand this at her age :)
this is pure gold!
Breaking it down really good. Thanks for the good advice!
It's my pleasure Braulio and I'm so glad it helps you!
Can't wait for the next one, keep up the great work.
So sick. Nice playing
Thanks Daniel!
Great lesson! The rudiment during the 9/8 section would make a cool lesson too. What electronic kit is that? I'm interested in getting one since I can't set up my acoustic one in my apartment :(
This is a Roland TD30K, love it to bits!!!
Your videos are the best man!!! I just became a patron but I could only do 1$ a month support because I dont have a job hahaha but your passion is obvious and you KNOW what you're teaching very much! I appreciate how you make your videos with such skill to make it easy to see and hear the music you teach. My only request is you post a video of you jamming whatever you want!!! :>
Whao thanks so much! I assume you're TK Hellard on my Patreon Faction? I'll send you a direct message there.
Super helpful video!
Man, you are too good.
I really wish I was Dave
Please make goodsped by the contortionist
Excellent
great video man. love this album and thanks for breaking this part down. i dont play drums but always wanted to know what the rythmic ideas were in that song. you should do some from clairvoyant as well!
Thank you :) I only recently got into The Contortionist's music 3 months back, so much that I have yet to discover but definitely will explore more of this band in the future.
yes definetly check out the new album. and hope to see some more of these in the near future. drumming and rythms are very tasteful on that new record. im sure youll dig it!
Great job!
Thanks Matthew!
Hey man i love watching your videos keep them coming. Can you please make a drum lesson video for "Absolve" too. Thanks!
Hey I only take requests from my Patron faction, consider joining if you really want that lesson video. Thanks for watching my videos anyway, appreciate it!
+1 sub, keep doing what you do!
Thank you Maarten and I sure will!
Very instructive video man ! but just one little thing : i think it would better to show the normal speed part before the slow part when you play it. It feels a little bit easier when we know how it's supposed to sound ! :)
Oh but i did show the normal speed part right at the beginning with Joey Baca's drum cam but thanks for your input anyway!
You're awesome!
Hey you changed you avatar name but anyway thanks !
Great video!
I don't think I've seen a dislike on your channel
Oh I get about 3-5 monthly
Hello,
Very good job.
Could someone please decrypt a drum part on the original track of language: part 1( the part goes from 3.03 to 3.47)?
I can’t hear the pattern behind it.
Thank you very much.
So glad I found this channel! Found you on reddit by chance. Thanks for what you do. Also, what electronic drum kit do you have? What do you recommend? Thanks! I’m looking at a Yamaha DTK532.
Hi Arron I'm so glad you found my channel too :) I'm using a Roland TD-30K and I highly recommend it although it's a bit on the expensive side. The Yamaha electronic drums are a solid option too. The main difference I feel is that the Roland has a better range of sounds and customization options and the mesh pads of the Roland feel different from the yamaha pads. So it's best to try them out for yourself if you have the chance.
Hi Man, great vid as usual, but mybe you can put the credit of the drum cam vid, i think it's from cayeminterview, right? CMIIW 😆
thanks for pointing that out, it's up there now!
Can you please do a video on how to play erised by Periphery?! PLEASE!
I'm sorry Danny, I save requests for my Patrons. It's an exclusive reward that they have, consider becoming a Patron or wait for a Patron to request it :)
Hello, sorry if it was already mentioned but what kit are you using? I've been interested in buying a new electronic kit
Oh hey it's a Roland TD-30K, I super love it!
Thanks for the reply! I love your videos. Really good taste in music!
For anyone that likes to watch good drumming, check out Brent Rodgers. I swear he’s about Travis Orbin level and he covered intuition in one of his covers.
What kind of samples do you use on the electric kit? Just stock or something else? Sounds great!
All the samples can be found inside the TD30 module although I modified them to my liking by adjusting size, sustain and mic placement .
Awesome video!
THANKS!
