The chair is there exactly for the reason you said ☺️ without a chair it will be more of a balance exercise and you will get also other muscles working (e.g. quads, abs). If you lightly hold on to something, you will feel your glutes engaging better. The holding is optional but if you want to feel your glutes more than your quads, I highly recommend it 🌸🥰🥰❤️ i would however prescribe lunges without holding in full body workout that is not targeted for glutes only

You can build muscle with calisthenics, this is no different, so yes, it is possible, to what extent that depends primarily on genetics, next consistency, time under tension, good form
@@zeroresistance7203 if you arrive at that level, I seriously doubt you aren't going to the gym or have at least some equipment in house... Even some improvised weights would be another level to that
