Seeing this video I thought I'd go through my memory box thingy and found so much stuff I forgot I had! A bunch of guitar picks, 2 Epica, 2 Evile, 1 Lacuna Coil, 1 Firewind, 1 Metallica and 1 5FDP. Signed backstage pass from the Evile, Suicidal Angels, Chronosphere gig in Athens (2013). Signed tickets from Amon Amarth, Blind Guardian, Enforcer, Evile, Rotting Christ, Symphony X, Opeth, Jeff Loomis and so much more. Proud of my little collection :')
For the Q&A: I know Iron Maiden is one of the bands you like most, So what is your favorite album, and favorite song. Also great video i really enjoy these.
I have a library of classic metal memories etc..meeting Tom Arroya from Slayer snd Steven Piercy frim Ratt and Vince Neil from Motley Crue..I understand.
Hey man, could you please make audio in your videos louder? It's great content but it scares the shit out of me when the volume is turned up and a message on Facebook or some shit popes up.. Great story :)
For the Q&A are you going to see Iron Maiden when they do their Book Of Souls World Tour when they come to Canada? I saw them from Australia and it was the best concert ive ever been too in my opinion.
When did you get that Amon Amarth bag with all those stuff, when you bought the ticket or when you arrived at the concert? I bought a ticket too,and it arrived yesterday and threre was no sign of any bag of merch :/
If you were to make a "best bands" list, where do you think Slayer would end up? Also, do you play any instruments? Although this is kind of far out there, I would love to jam with you.
don't call myself a metal head I listen to it but I pretty much like all kinds of music but I love your videos there really entertaining and interesting I hope to keep seeing videos from you BTW as far as heavy music/general bands I like Bloodsoaked, Deicide, Sabaton, Disturbed, Five Finger Death Punch, Three Days Grace, Van Canto ect.
Q&A question- What are your thoughts on Grindcore and its subgenres (Goregrind, Pornogrind, Deathgrind, Noisegrind, Nintendocore so on and so on)? Just wondering if you are into it.
Are you into any progressive metal? If so what are your favorite progressive metal bands? Big fan of your channel by the way, binge watch your videos frequently.
I have a few signed posters, gave away my guitar picks, bought patches, shirts, cds, chatted with Skinless, Crowbar, Lecherous Nocturne, Testament, Pissing Razors, Primal Fear, Skeletonwitch, Toxic Holocaust, almost got run into by Phil Anselmo at a bar in New Orleans. \m/
You're canadian. If you haven't checked out QUO VADIS, you really, really should. Awesome Tech-Melo-death. Also, Heavy MTL has CARCASS this year, that's enough to go.
What If? oh right. maybe Slayer, Exodus and Testament? Those are thrash bands. if you are looking for something harder check out Death, Cannibal Corpse and Morbid Angel.
Dr. Drew told a story of him contracting Swine Flu. He said that the symptoms started while being on a plane home to L.A. he said it really made him violently ill and the flight attendant gave him 3 blankets and he was still freezing. He said that once he was home he couldn't get out of his bed. I'm not a fan of Manson but I have to admire the drive he had to go out onstage while being violently ill. You may have gotten it even if you didn't drink the beer. Just being touched by you and the other fans may have made him a super spreader. I'm sure the others who touched him may have gotten it as well. I heard a story about a Star Trek convention that was attended by John DeLancie, who played the villain Q on The Next Generation. He was sick but attended anyway. He did a Q&A while he was sick and drank water from a glass. After the Q&A was over he left and the moderator joked and said the Q Virus can be had by the highest bidder and these brainiacs bid for it. The guy with the winning bid went to get the glass with water still in it. The moderator told him that DeLancie was really sick and that he wouldn't drink from it. The guy chugged it and yelled "I HAVE THE Q VIRUS!!!!! I HAVE THE Q VIRUS!!!!".
I dont really understand why people try so hard to get shit signed. I dont think I asked a band member to sign anything of mine since high school, and probably never will again. Rather I just thank them for their performance (if I meet them after a show) and buy a cd/cassette/t-shirt to support them. I dont go out of my way to meet high profile band members though, so these days I only meet the more underground guys at dive bars and the like. Occasionally I see guys from bands at the bar or in the pit, and I just tell them they are awesome (if they are) and to keep doing what they do. Met the guys from Horrendous in the pit twice and they are chill as fuck. Starting the pit to Satan at MDF and later finding out that the guys from Horrendous helped make it a thing was a much better experience than getting them to sign shit for me (they noticed me by my Horrendous t-shirt at the time, I didnt even recognize them, lol).
Marilyn Manson is legit still my idol, & that's so cool you got that bottle, but oh my fuck that is the funniest but most tragic experience you could have relating to him, haha.
Now that's unique to get a bottle of beer that MM drank out of. I sure as hell wouldn't have drank out of it. Oh your concert stories are something. I thought my Iron Maiden concert was an experience. I met Michael Bland drummer for Prince. He questioned my best friend and I on AC/DC, Pink Floyd, and Iron Maiden. Right before the concert I got in trouble with a sheriff deputy for cussing. Oh and Ghost was the opening act.
What is your stance on "intricate / technical / progressive musicianship" vs "simple / straight to the point / primal / no nonsense songwriting"? It seems to me that there is a lot of people that have a problem with one of the two, imho elitism and self justification might be the source, or maybe for once subjective preference has something to do with it (I like to think that it is the later). Keep on the good work. Cheers!
Dude, you could probably reach out to Sam Dunn and get on his channel. You're probably going to pass up his Banger UA-cam channel. It would be cool to see you on Locking Horns or something. He must live somewhere near you if you've seen him at more than one show
my question for you is how to i reaspond to my parents giving me shit for like death metal my mom always says stuff to me like why do you like that music you can't understand what there saying blah blah its all all satan's music , don't you think that t-shirt is kinda graphic blah blah how do i tell my mom that i'm just a normal kid who likes death metal and that i don't worship satan or want to kill everyone
