      I learnt that keeping rice overnight creates a bad bacteria so avoid this as far as I know.

    This video has too much misinformation. The primary reason for b12 deficiency, regardless of one's diet, is lack of enough good bacteria in one's gut. A friend of mine who eats all kinds of meat, and has been taking b12 supplements for the last 6-7 years is still deficient in b12. Our ancestors who had natural sources of water (which was connected to bacteria rich soil), not very well washed vegetables and fruits (again full of bacteria), and who did not snack all the time which helped keep their gut clean never had b12 deficiencies.

    B12 can be found from vegetarian food:
    Milk
    Spinach
    Sprouted green beans
    Beetroot
    Carrot
    Chickpeas

    Milk reportedly has the most bio available B12. No other vegetarians sources has B12. So if you are a vegan you need B12 supplements. Also other reason for B12 deficiency is you do not have enough stomach acid and other absorption issues. Only a medical examination can diagnose the root causes in that case.

      Hello Vijayan Pillai . Please let me know how I can get my stomach acid tested in India and where exactly. I have gone to many doctors but I have heard Indian doctors don't test low acid. Please reply. Thank you in advance.

      @@WoSarvatraHain you can google "how to test stomach acid level with baking soda" . Not sure how accurate that is, but something you can try if you are comfortable. If you are low in stomach acid, then you need to eat lots of fermented foods, pickles etc. I would suggest you go to an experienced ayurvedic doctor. Kottakkal Kerala is a good one.

    In Indian scriptures, food is classified as Satvik, Rajasik and Tamasik. It is also mentioned in Bhagavad gita. They never propagated Only vegetarianism in India. Food must be based on our lifestyle. That's why, most of the people, who did physical work, did eat meat.
    I am Vegetarian by choice, even since childhood.

    Non vegetarians also suffer from B 12 deficiency
    This is clear from data available from West. A balanced diet of vegetables)taking all types of vegetables) and with normal exercises will surely give all requirements of our body including B 12.
    No should be scared of propagandas to bring our mind to worries and thus bring physical problema as mind play a big role in our life. Let's not worry from propagandas of vested interests and keep our mind strong with good health in all respects.

      I'm from the west and your misunderstanding the data completely. Vegetable will not be enough.
      Eat some eggs for more than just B12. .
      Choline, zeaxanthin, lutien will also help you.

    Optineuron is the B12 injection prescribed for severe deficiency. Taking each injection every alternative day, up to five to ten injections will help recovery cause. Vegetarian People should take note of this to spread the information among all for healthier life.

    As a vegan I do not consume milk and spinach contains oxylates so I prefer lettuce. I agree with sprouts and other root vegetables, however these can be more difficult to digest. I have heard that extended water fasting can improve B12 levels as our body does produce it in the intestines. Personally I take a supplement

    I studied naturopathy and I am not veg or vegan, but I take vit b supplement as well as other vitamins because sometimes the food we eat does not contain the amount of vit and minerals that tbey should, as the soil is depleted from over production. Also if we are stressed we can have malabsorption of vit

    Quite a few errors in this talk. 1. Meat eaters also have deficiency of B12. 2. Neither spinach nor sprouts have b12. 3. B12 is produced in our intestine by gut microbiome. So the way to increase our B12 is to eat foods that help gut microbiome. These foods include potatoes, whole grains. Fermented foods help too. For vegans, the solution is to take supplements.

    Watch for B12 deficiency‘s in those taking metformin another name is Glucophage as long-term use of this diabetic medication will cause B12 deficiency. I am a physician so we come across this quite a bit.

    I would differentiate between commercial milk products and bio dairy products. I am lactose intolerant, yet I experimented and noticed that I can consume bio butter and cheese with no problem, is small amount........I can also consume lactosefree dairy product with no digestive issues, but after a month I get estrogene rise (very tense breasts) , when I eliminate commercial dairy I have no issues....

    In UK, the lack of b12 causes memory loss. Doctors can misdiagnose a lack of b12 with Alzheimers ( then you'll be on Alzheimer meds). Just up the intake of b12 and you'll be ok

    As we get a little older we lose the ability to absorb dietary b12. Therefore taking a sublingual supplement is necessary

    I am a vegetarian, even without any supplement my vit B12 levels are more than double the maximum normal levels. I am sure this cannot be healthy but no doctor seems to be aware.

    Thank you very much, for the very useful information. I have been lacking b12, since a very long time. Jus a correction, video of sun salutation ( surya namaskaar), left leg should be back first or right leg. Action does left leg first, but speech says right leg. Does it matter which leg we start with first?

    Don't get entangled in the Western world of science. It is a huge trap. In India you have the knowledge of life called Ayurveda. Ayurveda doesn't tell you to eat vegetarian. Eating vegetarian is not always the best. A sattvic diet doesn't have to be vegetarian. It is more what you eat and how you made it, how you eat your food. Every 2 months you need to change your diet and lifestyle to balance the body with the outer world. Sattvic food is not vegetarian foods. Don't make that mistake. Everything what you eat is eventually living also vegetarian food. So excluding meat, egg or fish from your diet is not necessary.
    Eat it when your tool (your body) is not working properly. Just like you look after your other things like a car or phone. Remember it is your duty to look after your body, but you are not your body. Your body and mind are tools to understand what you truely are. Ayurveda doesn't look into the contents of the food, it looks what it does in your body.
    With any symptoms you know which energy (vats, pitta or kapha) you need to balance.
    It is more important to understand what you are and don't get entangled in this world.
    All concepts are just tools to find the truth, but some are so entangled in being the body that they have forgotten their own Self and are thinking they are the body and mind.
    Everything that is thought in your video has to do with the body and you have to understand that you are Pure and nothing that happens to your body and mind is not happening to you.
    The life of the body is predestined.
    Being a yogi is also a concept.
    All concepts need to be given up to be your true Self.
    Suffering is optional. ❤

      Killing an animal cannot be compared with plucking a fruit or vegetable from a plant. Nervous system of animals is far more developed than that of plants. Food after causing pain of death is never sathvik. 🙏

    If you have symptoms of b12 deficiency like nerve damage in your feet or hands(tingling, pain, numbness), jaundice, mouth sores,exhaustion, you need to take care right away. Like he said, a lot of people end up with deficiencies and your diet is worth a look.

    Hi Sir, I have been identified with B12 absorption deficiency after lot of diagnosis (like colonscopy, endoscopy test etc). Even if I take B12 pills my body doesn't have B12 absorption capability. Can you suggest if I can do something naturally which can again develop B12 absorption?

    Vegetables do not contain B12.It must come from meat, eggs, milk, fish or artificial B12 additives or pills.

      B12 is a bacteria in the soil and in everywhere in nature. So yes, raw vegetables would contain some B12, especially root vegetables.
