    Thank you for this video. I have avoided quilts with half square triangles because I hate squaring them up. This would make it easier. 👍

    Congrats! And thank you for explaining things so well!!! My accuracy is getting a bit better, but I have a pattern with a lot of triangles, which I have yet to try...so I will look into getting that tool locally if I can...

    I have not used that ruler, but I have used another ruler for half square triangles. I concur that the placement line needs to be slightly above the stitching line for the HST to not be small. That has been my experience.

      I’m glad it wasn’t just me Annie. I think it’s important to give the full story when doing a review and measuring the block at the end I was a little surprised the block was small.

    I like it...not too sure how often I would use it but seems quite accurate.

    I imagine doing a test cut is especially important because some people do a scant or generous seam allowance (maybe without even realizing it!)

    • @staceyleecreative
      @staceyleecreative  Рік тому

      I thought that originally to. But this rulers works from the stitches so it doesn’t matter what your seam allowance is. I like that about the rulers.

    The outsides of the resulting HST’s are on the bias. Anyone have problems with this?

      You have to handle them carefully. Starch can help make the fabric more ridged and less stretchy. 🤗

    You are the 3rd person who’s said this.. I want to purchase it, but a bit afraid.. it’s expensive too.. 😮 for it not to be accurate.

    ARGH - I ironed mine open THEN ordered the ruler. Can't I just iron them back into a triangle?

      Oh no! 😅 It’s okay-you can try ironing them back into a triangle. Thanks for leaving a comment! 🌟

    I found this hard to see because your material is dark like pink and it would’ve been easier if you did it with white because we can’t see very well how your dotted lines lineup with your stitches
