These are the greatest rulers. They make trimming half square triangles so fast, easy and accurate. Love them.
Such a MUST! I love my set & use them often. It’s a gift I gave myself that keeps on giving.
So glad to hear
I think this is the best new tool since the rotary cutter. Love, love, love it.
This is an amazing tool. I'm a quilter and I'm going to order one tonight. Almost all my quilts have half square triangles and this will really simplify trimming them up. Thanks
Oh my YES!! They are fabulous. Check back in and let us know what you think
Sue OVery I finally got these and they are great. Easy to use and well worth the money. Thank you so much for introducing them. I had never heard of them and it surprised me that something so useful wasn't better advertised.
These look really neat, I tend to make my half-square triangles bigger than needed and trim them down to the size I need. I think this will work for me, but the cost is a bit pricey.
I love quilting and have been doing it for a long time -- I can see where these would be very invaluable!! Thanks!
LOVE, LOVE, these trimmers! They save me so many steps and time! If you don't own them already, I suggest you put them on your must have list!!
Hi Sue, You always make the notions you review easy and fun to use and it is always something that makes our life easier. Thanks for this useful review.
I have a set and its a perfect tool for HST.
Thanks, Sue, for finding this trimmer for us. It will be helpful and efficient.
Hi Sue, just made the sunglass case but found the seam is a bit thick when using foam. I will make another using batting. Was only able to put reading glasses inside due to the thickness on the seam. Otherwise super cute!
Wonderful!
Thanks, Sue! This is quite amazing! It’s going on my Wish List for my Birthday in November!
Hi Sue I already have the Slotted trimmer
Really like your presentation for this new trimmer...would be great for all quilters, but price is too high for what it does.
Looks like a valuable, timesaving tool to have.
This looks great ! I make a lot of HSTs!
Awesome template trimmer!
Great video thank you!.. I just wish you would have measured the finished half square triangle. My squares are all off by a smidge... I've centered the ruler and cut. when its opened it does not measure what it's supposed to. maybe my ruler is defective. But in all the videos I've seen not one person has measured the finished square to show it's a "perfect" square....:)
I’m sorry. It’s been a couple years since doing this video but maybe I’ll do a social media post on measuring. Find me now at @sookiesews
Daily deal today on Missouri Quilt.
Something nice to have.
you mentioned the steletto gadget? where would you get that?
How to cut to 2 7/8 with this ruler?
I don’t have them in front of me but you could check with the designer too for a quicker answer.
I’m confused about something. For 30 years I’ve always been taught to press the seam to the dark side. This is the second video I’ve watched where the seams were pressed open. Is this something new? I’ve only ever seen seams pressed open in very specific circumstances. What am I missing?
Some quilting teachers now a days like Christa Watson of Christa Quilts only presses open.
I would always follow whatever pattern you’re using. However the teacher originally instructs.
I see the rulers are marked with 1/2" seams. I quilt with 1/4" seams. So this ruler wouldn't work for me????
Of course this will work for you it is designed for the quarter inch seam allowance what you were looking at is half inch increments to different size blocks, I promise you will love it
@@SookieSews ok thanks
I guess i didn't see where you measured the finished block to see if it came out the correct size....
They do, every time!
@@SookieSews Mine were too small. Had to put the dash line ABOVE the stitching line. Also the diagonal (seam) was off. I used the small (6 1/2) and the large. Neither came out correctly.
Sorry it didn’t work foe you. Consider writing the designer. She’s very sweet and helpful
I need to win one of these, I am always forgetting to trim my dog ears.
This trimmer is $31.95, not sure any ruler is worth this.
I’m surprised it is that high in the USA. ain’t wasn’t that much in Canada and your dollar is worth so much more than ours. It does include two different templates. One for 1/2” and one for inches.
