I can truly say, this recipe of yours turned out perfect. There were a few Corned beef pasty recipes on the tube. I chose yours for your enthusiasm. I live overseas. I only had one very precious can of corned beef. I banked on you and your recipe. It paid off. Thanks a lot.
@@LazyCookPete Hi Pete, couldn't make the corned beef hash pie as someone had beaten me to the corned beef! however, made the leek, potato and cheese pie, and we devoured the lot while it was just slightly warm................so I guess it was a success. It was delicious. Looking forward to my next culinary adventure. Thank you so much, I love easy to follow, realistic recipes.
I’m beginning to feel like a broken record Pete. But you’ve been bringing it with the recipes. Love this one! I’ve already taken my puff pastry out of the freezer. I will be making a vegetarian version tomorrow. Thanks so much for sharing.
Good evening pete. Hope you and family are well and staying safe. Great looking pies .going to give these a bash myself. I will be buying the pastry as iam not brave enough to make my own. Take care my friend
Thanks Christine! Tater hash pies are wonderful. I would go with the salad but my brother Richard shouted out, 'Beans!' when I read your comment out to him 😋😄
Yes Bernhard, I left the pie filling in the pan for a few minutes and the fond had softened enough to lift easily. I should have explained that in the video, or maybe I did but the footage was edited out. Silly me!
Another delicious dish Pete and more than ever before this is my kinda eating. Any suggestions of what to serve these with (they are great on their own of course!!!)? That home made puff pastry looks great😃👍
Hi Pete....... Sorry I missed this delicious delight earlier. Today was a Lifetime movie 🎥 marathon day for me. I have not had corned beef in years. Can you tell me what brand you used as I no longer trust the ones we get in N.Y.? Great meal for Saturday night dinner. Enjoy. ☺

Yes indeed John. Pasties, patties, foldovers, squares, borek, samosas, empanadas and turnovers are all popular names for pies like these. I think the popular British pie shop Greggs would call them 'slices' too. Same thing in principle, so many names, all delicious! 😋🍻 Loads more here: tinyurl.com/uovch57

Thanks for the positive feedback my friend! I'm so glad you enjoyed the pasties 😋
Good old northern cooking. Love it. Like going home. Will be making this tomorrow , along with the leek, potato and cheese pie for work next week.
I know you'll love the pie recipes Christine! Let me know how you get on, and any changes or adaptations you employ. Make the recipes your own.

It's an inexpensive and easy recipe David, and children seem to love these pies. Take care my friend!
My parents always bought canned corned beef for cabbage. Now I think I know a second recipe for canned corned beef. Thanks for this !
Now there's a great idea! Thanks Marsha! 😋🌞
Awesome! I happen to have seen cans of corned beef and puff pastry too. My family is eating well while we are quarentined. 😍

I usually buy my pastry in as well Dave. I'm not much of a baker but I do love home made pies. Stay safe my friend!
This is gonna be super tasty.. Potatoes will surely balance the salt content of th corned beef.. Wanna try this 😍👌
Thanks Zeffy! Yes the potatoes mitigate the saltiness of the corned beef rather well. It's an inexpensive and tasty pie that also tastes good cold. 😋
This sounds good thank you
You are most welcome Linda 😊
Thanks for sharing Pete.. Hope you and your family are staying safe.. Full View and Like..
You are a great friend to my channel Allen, thank you so much for your support my friend!
Having these for tea tonight, served with a nice crispy salad...........equally good with a big splodge of baked beans. Proper food.
Thanks Christine! Tater hash pies are wonderful. I would go with the salad but my brother Richard shouted out, 'Beans!' when I read your comment out to him 😋😄
You had a really nice fond in the pan, did you de-glaze it? and your pastry looked fabulous and crisp.

A good ice cold Aussie beer would be a great match for these pies Patrick. They are also good with chips, peas and onion gravy... and beer! 😋🍻
Hi Pete they look fantastic xx
It's a simple recipe that delivers big on flavour Helen 😋

Great meal for Saturday night dinner.
Enjoy. ☺
Hi Carol. I use Aldi's own brand 'Bramwell's' whose country of origin is Brazil. Fray Bentos is a very good brand from Argentina if you can get it.
Yum
Thanks Isaiah. I like them just as much cold, as a picnic pie 😋
Yummy :)
Thank you 😊
