I also pull the stems off my spinach, they just don't belong lol. I wanted to thank you and all the amazing viewers for all the prayers, back in 2021 my son was diagnosed with cancer. I wanted to update everyone as of july 13th he rang the bell and is now cancer free. I absolutely have been loving and making a lot of recipes. Thank you all 😊
I don't think I was watching that far back, but I'm happy for you and ur son & pray that the trauma will be replaced with joy and laughter!! God bless u all! 💞🙋♀️💕💕💕
We always slice the pitas in the middle- like fillet it..but not thru the bottom, and turn it into a pocket, then put the things inside the pocket. Makes it easier to eat the goodies inside.
I love watching the two of you! The pita bread cut in half make the best pocket for that chicken salad you made. That's how we use them in my family anyways.Look forward to your next one!
Mandy, I have the trick to no tears when cutting onions! I went to a cooking class and the teacher told us that you need to SLICE the onions not chop. So slide your knife back and forth rather than pushing down, when you push down thats what pushes all the liquids out! I havent cried since!
You can use a paper towel and stir it in your pan to remove grease from your pan. Works wonderfully with no stress to your hands having to lift your pan to drain the grease. Try it out! Love your videos, thank you for all you and Steven do!❤❤😊
Just want to take a moment and say thank you for all the delicious recipes you share every video. We have loved we have tried you've shared. Thank you again, sweet friend. Y'all always brighten my day.
Found this solution in a recipe - To keep my hands out of ground meat, I stir it with two forks, one in each hand. It combines the ingredients quickly, without overmixing and causing toughness. Just be sure to beat any eggs separately before adding.
I ordered my grater because you use yours for several things. I have grated cheese once. But, I can't count the times I have grated potatoes, carrots, etc. I love it 💗 I only buy plain Greek yogurt and add flavors to it.
Mandy, for a quick and easy way to slice cherry tomatoes… get 2 lids(from takeout containers) and place several tomatoes on the lid, cover them with the other lid and run your knife between the lids. Voila!! I think Pampered Chef sells a contraption instead of using the lids. And it also works great for chicken breasts.
The pita pocket looks refreshing on a hot day. I never saw anyone use it folded over before though. We always slice them in half and fill the pocket with filling. Thanks for sharing!
Y’all are one of the sweetest couples I have ever watched! Y’all remind me of my husband and I, we love to cook together when we can but can be hard with a 2, 5, and 12 year old always requiring attention. But you make it look fun and romantic in a pg way lol. Love watching y’all may God bless you and your sweet little family!
Yes, it is so hot in Texas, making mostly salads for dinner! I love a good chicken salad, and this is a new way for me, so adding to my store list. Favourite chips are sour cream and cheese. Texture issues are chunky peanut butter and tapioca pudding. Yuck! Finally, love seeing the thermometer, safety first! Another food safety tip is using disposable blue gloves. If they tear, you can see the blue in your food to pick out instead of finding the piece in a bite. Commercial kitchens use these. Thanks to you, Steven, Cole, and Gracie for another fun time!
Call it Mandy in the baking batter chatter. Also when taking off the gloves. Peel on off on the top side of your hand and it will turn it inside out. Tuck it into the other hand that is still gloved. Then peel that one off from the top side of your hand and all thr tucky stuff is on the inside and just toss it.
hey Mandy 👋 a little tip for when you are talking the gloves off after taking one off hold it in the gloved hand & pull the other over it and it's all contained in one and hopefully no spillage 🙂 .... oh btw they all look delicious 👍💖
Did you leave all those goodies in your skillet? After you take the meatballs out, put the orzo (and some orzo water) in that pan and scrape up all that goodness from the meatballs into the orzo! YUMMMM . . .
I don’t even like to eat when it’s hot. I’ll be happy with a tall glass of cold v8 and be done. We’ve had 107° tempts for the last week. Luckily no humidity. As a note I use my salad spinner to remove water from my cucumbers and zucchini with success.
Here is a no bake dessert! Layer ice cream sandwiches in a 9 x 13 casserole. Spread cool whip, pour chocolate syrup. Sprinkle peanuts. Do it again so you have two layers. Freeze. Take out about 10 minutes before serving. Yummmm.
Yes please bring them back that would be great Mandy Gracie Lou is just so precious These recipes are amazing thank you 🙏🏻 so much for sharing them with us 🙏🏻✝️☮️🥰🌹💐🌺❤️🍀💚💕💜💙
Love all your videos. Yes, bring back the battery chatter, love the stores you and steven tell. Here in Georgia, it is very hot andhumid. That's why I'm thankful I can work from home so I'm staying in as much as possible till fall.
❤we are Mediterranean eaters, and these are awesome! I made the Tzatziki Chicken Salad for dinner tonight with a side salad and tabouli. Absolutely delicious! Thank you! Hope you find more Mediterranean inspired recipes for future dinners.
Hey Miss Mandy! I loved this video and all your recipes! I must say your husband is a doll and probably the kindest I’ve seen on UA-cam! 🥰. Always so supportive of you! I don’t like stems on my spinach either and I wanted to tell you, I’m a RN of 40+Years and I can touch ANYTHING if I’m wearing gloves!! So, you go girl! You can make all kinds of meat dishes now! Thank you for sharing and the first recipe I’m making is that chicken salad!! My mouth was actually watering! 😂❤ Bless you and your sweet family and I hope you have a happy weekend! 🥰
The texture and appearance of sun dried tomatoes reminds me of a full ashtray. I’m not joking. It’s really what pops into my mind! I cannot eat them at all without gagging.
Mandy, I'm the same way with mushrooms as you are with sundried tomatoes. Love the flavor but can not hew them. I just cute them bigger & pick them out. Bring back Batter Chatter
From the bottom of my heart ----- I so Love and enjoy you, your recipes, your son, and most of all ~ your husband. I do follow several people on UA-cam but your video is at the top.... while I adore you and your recipes..... it is your husband who seals the deal with my returning to your channel...his attitude, style, and wonderful attitude are so amazing! .Thank you both so much! Jeremiah 33 3
To deseed your cucumbers, cut in half length wise then use a spoon to scoop out the seeds. It works with zucchini too. Love you shows, family and Gracie!
Batter Chatter/ Mandy in the Baking together sounds good. I discovered gnocchi when I was in Italy for my church. We pronounced it knee-oh-key. First k is silent. Thank you for all your fun recipes. The hilarious moments, and the sweetness you, Steven and Cole show for each other and share with us. Love you guys ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for sharing these 3 healthier recipes. I've made several of your recipes in the past and every one was delicious. I am recovering from heart surgery so I really appreciated these 3 meals plus I'm diabetic so I have to watch what I eat now. I love you guys. Have a blessed evening. 🙏💙❤️💙🐱
In the restaurants I have worked in we cut the pita 1/4-1/3 of the top off and open it up. Open up the cut off piece and place it in the bottom of the pocket to catch the juice. You can stuff the pocket with the ingredients from there. It only works with fresh pita bread because if it is more than a day old the pita bread will crumble. Pita bread makes a good Falafel/Salad with a vinaigrette dressing pocket also.
My husband has been making these meatballs for several months and they are literally our FAVORITE meal!! We do wild rice instead of orzo and make garlic sautéed kale to go with. It is SO. GOOD.
A tip on taking off gloves when you take off the one glove put it in the palm of the other hand. Then put two fingers under the glove at your wrist and pull the glove over the glove in the palm turning the one glove inside out. This creates a neat little package with no touching the mess.
Just discovered I can create a "save video" playlist..... now I don't have to dig for videos I've watched in the past ! I'm soooooo excited 🤩 This is the first one added ! Thank you Mandy 💜
So easy way to remember that u have watched it is to hit the "LIKE" button. I love saving each favorite cook in their own name & yep, have one that says "MANDY" - u just have to fiddle around with the buttons to "name" each file.
I just learned not to long ago, that your shouldn't crack your egg on the side of your bowl to avoid any egg shell going in, they say to crack it on the counter or edge of your stove, which is where I crack mine. I was glad for this advice, several times i have had to pick small pieces of egg shell from my bowl or pan.
Best way to make any meatball ( small version) is place a handful of meat in your dominant hand. Close your fingers and squeeze a meatball size comes out between your pointer finger and thumb. Each meatball the same size. A hint for cucumbers is to slice in half length wise then use a spoon place it at one end of a slice drag across and seeds are gone.
Yes, I am the same way. I don't want to eat anything heavy when it's hot outside! A BLT and an ear of Indiana sweet corn, with extra tomatoes on the side is my perfect summer meal!
Mandy, I make a Greek Pasta Salad that includes cooked pasta of choice, feta cheese, cucumbers, red onion, tomatoes, Pepperonchini peppers, Kalarmata Olives and either Ken's or Girard's Greek dressing. It is fresh, delicious and pairs nicely with summer Greek meals. Still loving your channel after 3 1/2 years. Y'all are just precious! ❤️
That chicken salad is amazing🎉 Mandy , this granny lives in Florida and I know hot lol but we have wonderful tropical breezes in the evening ..perfect weather in the winters and chicken salad is always wanted , anytime here !
Hey Mandy! Been gone a while. Trying to get moved into the new house. 1. Warm your pita bread. 2. I have a small leg of lamb in the freezer, gonna thaw it, and grind it up and make the recipes. Glad to be back!!
I can not eat a hot heavy meal when it's hot outside. I need cold food. Pasta salads, loaded garden salads, baloney and cheese sandwiches, tomato sandwiches, cold water or sweet tea or even unsweetened tea with lemon. I find the lemon to be refreshing in my tea on a hot day, and many times I leave the sugar out of my tea when it's hot outside. I can't even eat desserts when it's hot and muggy. I feel bogged down or something if I eat sweets and try to be out doors.
My mom gave me a box of gloves as a joke for Christmas years ago, they’ve actually been such a helpful thing for me! I don’t like touching raw meat, it’s so much easier with gloves. I’ve realized that I also like gloves for cleaning and washing dishes too 😂 it helps my sensory issues!

ITS Greek week at my house, and no this isn't a sorority or fraternity, its the cuisine thankyou Mandy. we had the chicken salad pita with tzatziki dressing, but that held two days and i had to make a second batch of dressing because it all soaked in over night. third day was the ground beef dish, right down to the lemon rice, we dolloped leftover tzatziki on that and OMG tomorrow is the meatballs. thankyou thankyou for these amazing additions to my loved foods to cook.
Being Greek myself, let me tell you that you pronounced tzatziki properly. Small tip for you, if you ever make the third dish again, the meatballs with the orzo, it will elevate it a few notches if you have it with tzatziki on the side.
I agree, summer time I prefer lighter meals, eating a heavy meal tends to drain my energy, I can eat Mediterranean meals like these any time of year, I can't wait to try the one with the spinach and tomatoes, looks really good..
Mandy, try using a large dinner fork to mix your meatloaf - a trick I saw Ina Garden use on her show once and I've done it every since. You get everything mixed in, without over working the meat, which can make it tough. Love the videos, keep 'em coming, and please stay cool!
I also pull the stems off my spinach, they just don't belong lol. I wanted to thank you and all the amazing viewers for all the prayers, back in 2021 my son was diagnosed with cancer. You can cut the pita bread in half and stuff the chicken salad inside each half.
Make sure it says pocket bread somewhere on the package.
We always slice the pitas in the middle- like fillet it..but not thru the bottom, and turn it into a pocket, then put the things inside the pocket. Makes it easier to eat the goodies inside.
If you cut those pitas in half , you can stuff them. I love them warmed. Not as bready. I just put them in the toaster
Good for you, Cole for helping GMa. A good man takes care of his family.
Yes for the batter chatter! Love those videos.
Yesssss please 👍🤩
How bout we change up the fall ritual pumpkin spice recipes for some Apple cinnamon goodies!!! Be a trendsetter 🍎🍏👏👏

I made the Greek Meatballs with Lemon Orzo for tonight's dinner and it was fantastic!! My husband didn't even realize they were chicken meatballs!👍😊
Y'all are one of few channels that make me LOL literally 😂😂😂
The pickling ones don't go bitter as fast in my experience (they don't love heat in general, cucumber)
I ordered my grater because you use yours for several things. I have grated cheese once. But, I can't count the times I have grated potatoes, carrots, etc. I love it 💗 I only buy plain Greek yogurt and add flavors to it.

I love that hack! I saw Rachel Ray & Martha Stewart use it, so if they love it, it's gotta be the bomb!
I much prefer a light meal when it's hot. My husband doesn't feel that way. Ugh
The pita pocket looks refreshing on a hot day. I never saw anyone use it folded over before though. We always slice them in half and fill the pocket with filling. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Mandy, for the sun dried tomatoes, try them puréed. Throw some in the blender so you can still add the flavor. 👨🍳😘
Genius

Best way to make any meatball ( small version) is place a handful of meat in your dominant hand. Close your fingers and squeeze a meatball size comes out between your pointer finger and thumb.
