I like it - really good analogy. My situationship involved her taking money off me as well, and never paying it back when she promised. Over time her emotional and financial credit rating with me dropped to zero. I finally went no contact a couple of days ago and I just feel sad - I didn’t leave suddenly or ghost her, I told her what was wrong and left the door open for us to talk, but doing that obviously wasn’t on her list of priorities, so the door has now closed 😢

She also asked me why I was not willing to " fight for the relationship" which was beyond insulting as I was fully invested in her. I didn't even respond to her question about fighting for her, accepted the discard and walked away and blocked her. It was very obvious she was grooming someone else in the background and needed a few days to test this person away from me. I forced her to accept her downgrade and move on. Actions have consequences and when you recognize this type of toxic behavior cut these people off forever.

Yeah, I went through that same process of mourning a person that doesn't exist! You can only come to this realization after you have gone down the rabbit hole and actually learned what there is to learn about narcissism. It is truly devastating when you understand that they never existed. After a period of mourning I told myself snap out of it! Are you really going to keep mourning a person that never existed? It changed me. It was as if when I was with him I was the best version of myself and being that person only brought me pain. Learning about narcissism helped me heal a lot of things but I will never be the same. It's as if I've peeked behind the curtain and saw that there is no wizard of Oz just some guy pulling the levers.
I have been listening to your messages since being discarded Valentine's day and today had my first session with a CBT therapist I think I'm continuing healing and getting better thank god still have a long way to go as i told her i still yearn for him. But i cut all contact he cannot reach me unless he writes me a letter or shows up at my door. I still have pain thinking hes off to the sunset with his new girlfriend and i was not good enough so yes alot to deal with....but i just want to say thanks Joe❤

I really like your videos visually and your perspectives are SO aligned with my experience. This particular video is word for word how things went for me waistng 7 years with a covert narcissist that I loved and adored. I'm free now and will NEVER be fooled again. It was such a damaging difficult time and through yours and some others vides too, I now know to be more careful and look closer and I'll not be fooled by a narcissists act or illusion again. Gotta be careful with this line of thinking though. Grade A supply just means that you were fulfilling the needs of the narcissist there and then. When their needs change, they need to find another source of supply. And yes, the narcissist can find another grade A supply. And sometimes, that grade A supply is another narcissist or BPD . When that happens, sparks can and do fly. Drama is virtually guaranteed and someone is going to walk away being utterly destroyed that they have to know what’s up.
They only miss the supply they harvested from the attention and abuse/neglect. And the control they had over the victims mind/emotions. To the narcissist the victim is just like a videogame they used to enjoy playing, then got bored of. Then they shelfed the game. Then they get a new exciteing game, and they get tired of that game also. At some time maby they want to go back and play the old game again. If the game then is missing ( we have done a no contact), they get furious!. Even if they discarded us first!. In their mind we should be constantly missing them, liveing in hope of them giveing us attention again Their lack of empathy, grandiosity, sadism, self obsession is at a EPIC LEVEL.
Joe your awesome with all your information as been healing to me. I did have a question. My ex female covert narcissist just out of the blue put a protective order on me. I could have fought against it but I chose to be happy with the idea that I wouldn't have to worry about being bothered my ex narcissist. What is the reason behind doing this protective order. Obviously control and to play the victim. Thanks for any thoughts about this is much appreciated. You would think that a narcissist would never want to put a protective order on there victim but I guess that is why there a narcissist
I believe she may have gotten the idea from a Narcissism documentary that you may find here on UA-cam. It happened to a guy that was Hoovered. Stay away from her even if she needs your help with anything,etc.
He was drowning in depression and bad luck and I believed his victim story about ex's. I fueled him with Grade A supply for almost two years. Then he decided he could do better than me. After the last discard, I didn't chase after him as I had chased before. He became obsessed and became a stalker.
One of the most traumatic things I've ever experienced. I was moving into her home 12 hours before my discard 3 weeks ago. Sounds like it was a blessing in disguise. The future faking really opens my wounds.

I had to make myself look ugly on purpose to avoid drawing attention from my narcissistic grandmother and my flying monkey grandfather... 3 months ago he kicked me out home after an argument where I lashed out and threw back 1.5 years of abuse and mistreatment... Saw him last Saturday, he lost so much weight it's scary... She uses him as cannon fodder: she used us both, but now that he has "won" and made me go, he has to endure it all on his own... Dealing with her is not easy, she's very obsessive and controlling so after I left and started taking care of myself, grooming and dressing well, the whole family realized how pretty and attractive I really am and started treating me much better instead of the pushover they always considered me to be... Few weeks ago we were at my uncle's birthday party at a fancy bar and I had 2 chopps... When I asked the waitress for a 3rd, she awkwardly told me that "sorry but I was told that I shouldn't serve you beer anymore..." I instantly go to my uncle and say that I was leaving. He said "why? It's so early!" and I told him what happened... He goes to the waitress to ask her about the situation and guess what? MY GRANDMOTHER TOLD HER NOT TO SERVE ME BEER. SHE FEELS SHE OWNS ME SO MUCH THAT SHE HAS THE NERVE TO TELL OTHERS THEY SHOULDN'T SERVE ME WHEN IT'S THEIR JOB DOING SO. She was scolded by my father and told to never do that again, I saw him complaining to her. That was the first thing to happen in front of everybody that she was directly blamed for. After I left she became even angrier and meaner, she now complains about everyone and everything, more than she ever did... Ob's: she convinced me to pain her huge living room and kitchen, I spent 3 days preparing and finishing everything... 24hrs after it was done, they ganged up on me and kicked me out 😊 Now they deserve each other and I hope they spend the rest of their lives together, because the rest of the family is fed up and they only see them like for 1 hour/week, imagine what I've gone through spending 30 days/month with them for 1.5 years? They absolutely deserve what they got, also I'm happier than ever just for moving out that HELL ❤❤❤
