I appreciate the work you put into this series of tutorials on the Mavic 2, Dylan. It's been very helpful. You are a gifted teacher. You don't rush or skip steps but you don't belabor your points either. Everything is explained clearly and demonstrated. Nice.
Thank you for this very, very informative video! I own a DJI Mavic 2 Pro for over 6 months and I never dared try those Quickshot modes as they seemed very complicated. Your video along with your very understandable and detailed explanations relly helped me to try out these modes. Thank you so very much. I am grateful!
OMG! Your tutorials are VERY, VERY good. Most other tutorials talk to you as if you already know how to get into the menus or as if your familiar with the software. You make it very simple to follow and explain everything in detail. You are a gifted natural born teacher. Keep up the good work my brother. I will subscribe.
I don’t understand why people give this review thumbs down? I mean if you disagree just talk to yourself and be miserable and don’t comment at all, Dylan and others like him are just trying to give tips and reviews on products etc to help others Thanks Dylan👍
Dale Wilson exactly! How are people that unhappy with their lives. What’s not to like about most of these videos. These guys spend a lot of time putting these together and risking their gear so we can learn for free. Boggles the mind some people!
agreed this is the best drone ive seen so far im tryna see in these comments if anyone can honestly offer a better drone just cause im lookin for an og one n im prob gonna get this one lol has all the types of shots id need
What a great job you did with this video. I have been flying a Phantom 2 Vision Plus since it came out 3 or 4?? years ago, and I have just made my first upgrade to the Mavis 2 Pro, I should get it in a few days. You have certainly provided me with some knowledge of what to expect, and how to perform some of these quick shots. Thanks :)
Great video and so glad i found it. Thanks for taking your time in your tutorial to show all the quick shot modes. I've been trying figure out how to do the asteroid mode. I've been seeing others do it but I never knew the name of it and didn't even know it was one of the modes. Thanks again
Dylan, thank you so much for taking the time to explain everything. You make it so much easier to learn than trying to get this info by reading the manual. Keep posting!
Thanks Dylan! M2P is my first drone as of a few weeks ago. I was amazed, and taken back, how complex fly a drone was. Add to this ALL of the features {Quick Shots just one.} you get to master. I have learned, as with my first mirrorless camera {Sony A7rII}, that you simply don't go out and try to recall features for a variety of shots. My process is to type up what I wish to practice, printing it, place it in a plastic sleeve, and take it with me during my flying time. This way I have a menu to work off and makes my time more profitable. Thanks again!
Well I went to a very remote peninsula here in Ireland in county Clare and got some stunning footage of the Loophead lighthouse. Thanks again for the video.
Thanks Dylan, completely forget that I even had this in my Mavic Pro 2. Will be using some of these in my shoot this weekend. Will give you a credit in my Sydney Sunrise video this weekend. Thanks mate big hi from Australia. Have a look at the channel you can see some of the work we have done so far.
Just got a Mavic 2 zoom! I am a professional storm chaser and I am chasing Hurricane Dorian... and when I post my final edit be sure to look for some shots like this because these tips helped me learn a lot about my drone!
This is Todd, the Wagonercountysnakehunter. I am watching this video for the 20th time. LOL. Really use this as a referral tool over and over. Thanks for it. You should teach a drone clinic!
Thank you for the kind words, Phil! I believe it is set up to automatically control the gimbal, but I'm sure you can manually adjust it if you want to.
Hi everyone. Are we allowed to take our drone with us if we travel overseas? Are we going to put inside luggage? Or hand carry? I own a MAVIC 2 PRO . Please advised me. Thanks.
Very good video. I am a recreational pilot and I have seen many videos of GREAT MASTERS but none so didactic. Most assume that we were born knowing and they explain half of it. Thanks a lot. By the way,my english is bad, I use a translator. 3 years in this job, I have 75 years old
Thanks this was really helpful. Would also like to know if you could cancel a flight mode, mid flight to avoid potential problems. Also recommend a "dead cat" for your sound recording.
great video.. question is, what if the subject or object is moving? will it keep it in frame? and where would the drone go back to after finishing the shot?
Great demo of this fantastic little drone. I’m sending a link to my friend who got Mavic Pro 2 for Christmas. It’ll be very useful to him. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the informative video!! Just got my Mavic 2 Pro, this will help.... I love that Asteroid mode - going to Utah this summer, and that should make some really cool shots!
Thank you so much Dylan, your videos are extremely helpful. As a total newbie drone pilot you’re providing me with some much needed confidence. Really awesome stuff mate, keep them coming! Thank you ☺️🙏🏼
Thanks a lot buddy, learned a lot from this video in the past and I'm actually about to drop a YT video with examples of these cinematic Quickshots I filmed on the Sand Dunes of Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands. I am watching this again to remember which specific Quickshots I took ahahah. Keep creating mate
Great tutorial ! Can I have some questions ? - can I use the sticks during the auto manoeuvers ? Like adjusting height ? - What is the lowest point to make a circle or boomerang ? - Is it able to make "circle" around a moving object ? Like runner, cycler or car ? - How can I stop abruptly the maneouver ( if I see a tree or building on the flying path ) ? Many thanks !
i used the intelligent flights modes first time today , i suppose i was a bit confused at how slow the drone was moving, (usually i use it manually) i wonderered if something was set wrong, but then you mentioned speed ramping, i think the example i saw of helix was using that, which is why i wondered why it was slow lol
Yes, this is indeed the best tutorial of quickshots I have seen as well. One question though...can the sticks be used to change speed or drone position during a quickshot mode?
Thanks again Dylan for another great tutorial, I appreciate your time with helping me to understand how my M2P works. I’ve come to expect you to create great tutorials. 😊👍
Very helpful as always and thanks for your efforts Dylan. I wonder whether collision avoidance will protect the drone from some unforeseen incident in these modes. I think the original Mavic Pro turned off the Collision Avoidance in Quickshots mode but I think I've read somewhere that this is not the case with the M2P. Will keep searching for answers. Many thanks from Sydney, Oz - Dave
Hi Dylan - Firstly, thanks very much for your tutorials! They're awesome. I am hoping you can help. I have just purchased a Mavic Pro 2 and have flown it a couple of times. I also want to purchase a handheld camera and hope to blend the footage to make videos. My question is - Am I able to alter the dimensions so they are the same? Example - I had a play with GoPro and Phone Footage once, however when I tried to edit them together the film was waaaay out and I couldn't work out how to resolve the issue. Also, any recommendations for a handheld video cam would be greatly appreciated! Thanks :-)
Great tutorials. Wonder if you have something related to taking off and landing on on a moving platform (i.e. vessels big enough to work as a landing platform but is constantly moving)? I work offshore and interested on filming launch and recovery maneuvers of an AUV (Autonomous underwater vehicle). The vessel is big enough to launch and landing with no problem. Vessel can hold position for landing, however, I am concern on the heave that would go up and down depending on the waves height. and worry that heave could affect the landing of the drone. Any thoughts?
Confidence is right.... Question #1 If I go to the point of interest, establish my height, distance from an object, speed of the orbit and clock-wise or counter-clock wise and hit "GO" will it start recording the video automatically or do I need to start the video recording just before I hit "GO"? Question #2 If I do a point of interest and decide to take some snap shots as the aircraft orbits the chosen object will it let me do that also (manually)? I'm new to the Mavic 2 Zoom. Please let me know.
For question #1- You have to manually start and stop the recording process. So start this before you hit "go." For question #2- You either have to take photos or video. You can't do both at the same time unfortunately! I hope you are enjoying your drone!
Hi Sir, Great tutorial. I would like to know if i start the drone at 20ft(eg) and use the quick shot features, will the drone return back to the same altitude after it goes to the altitude i set for the shot?
xCellent! Finally, a comprehensive tutorial, and, also easily understood! And, above all, no excessive talking, much appreciated!
Thank you for watching!
Very interesting upload!
Cheers from Bucharest Romania!!

For my needs (Real Estate) this is one of THE MOST INFORMATIVE M2P videos I’ve watched. A keeper. Cheers Dillon.

Really use this as a referral tool over and over. Thanks for it. You should teach a drone clinic!
Great stuff big D! Love seeing these tutorials and wanting to get out and drone again soon. LOL. Been too long.
I truly like the Asteroid shot, and thinking about running it in reverse for a start of a video then do another for the end. Thanks
Nice tutorial. Can you adjust the gimbal/camera while Quickshots is in force? Really appreciate you taking time to help with this flight modes.
Thank you for the kind words, Phil! I believe it is set up to automatically control the gimbal, but I'm sure you can manually adjust it if you want to.
very nice tutorial, give me more confidence. Thanks
Thanks for the kind words!
Nice tutorial... now i know what quickshot function on my m2p
Very cool, informative vid! Going to Hawaii for eleven days next month and I plan on putting some of these to great use during that trip!

Yes, this is indeed the best tutorial of quickshots I have seen as well. One question though...can the sticks be used to change speed or drone position during a quickshot mode?
Outstanding tutorial. Thanks!
Great info, thanks. Did you use auto balance?
Yes I did. Thank you for watching!
great video Dylan

Thanks so much for this video. REALLY HELPFUL.
No problem, thank you for watching!
Great tutorial. I subscribed. I would like to know how did you recorded your screen. Thank you!
I have an iPhone 7+ and use the built in screen recording app!
Thanks for the drone help!
Thanks for watching :)
Awesome job creating this video.
Thanks Dylan - exactly what I needed to know.
Great video man!!! 🎉🎉

Thank you so much for your tutorials
Thanks Dylan..... Really appreciate your sharing tips, Shaka out to you brother!
Great tutorial... Is there a way to save the vid in raw rather than mp4?
Very cool and helpful ; thank you for posting!
Great Tute most informative Tuttut
Brilliant vids mate
Can I ask what video post processing software do you use? And win or mac?
Thanks, a nice clear explanation and demo. All modes are slow on purpose, I'm guessing to allow for speed increase and speed ramping.
Thanks for the tutorial!!

I'm new to the Mavic 2 Zoom.

For question #1- You have to manually start and stop the recording process. So start this before you hit "go."
For question #2- You either have to take photos or video. You can't do both at the same time unfortunately!
I hope you are enjoying your drone!
Very well done and helpful! Really appreciate it
Excellent Tutorial! Thanks a lot! I've just bought a Mavic 2 but i'm use to an Inspire 1. IThere are a lot of improvements!
Delta Drones how do you like it ? Better than inspire 1?
Hi Sir,
Great tutorial. I would like to know if i start the drone at 20ft(eg) and use the quick shot features, will the drone return back to the same altitude after it goes to the altitude i set for the shot?
Hey Dylan, great videos! Novice drone flyer here. What is the difference between point of interest and a quick shot circle?
This is dope!!! Thanks for sharing...how in the world are you recording audio?
Thanks for sharing 👍
Omarali ! Thanks for watching!
great video the best on this so far
Thanks for the tutorial and I have subscribed.
Thank you!
Excellent. Thank you.
