In TCM and Qigong, the heart is the ruler of the five organs. It commands the movements of four extremities, it circulates the blood and Qi. All organs will sacrifice its energy to ensure the heart is strong.
Heart is also considered an emperor of emotions and the seat of spirit Shen, in other words our consciousness and self-awareness.
I will be sharing my favourite seasonal Qigong health tips, self-massage techniques and breath-work tools to help you manage and support your health during the summer season.

Feeling it in the shoulders and shoulder blades. It was nice watching you and Mr. Potts today like the old days (3 weeks ago). Are those body tapping mallets set off to the side of you like the ones Taichichina_Ping uses in his videos or what are they? An interesting tool whenever I see him using them.

@@qigongwithkseny it was great but I could tell I’ve not been doing enough yoga. Harder getting out of kayak than it use to be! The moves this morning helped a lot!
Enjoying this one again as my second this morning. Enjoyed it so much I paused during hip rotation to get more in and replayed the last movements in order to repeat more of those. Now ready for a more productive day! Thanks Kseny!

I love this! Thank you! Kseny, I have a question if you don't mind. I've tried different “types” (I don't think it's the right word but I can't think of another one) of qigong, including Emei qigong, and Spring Forest qigong with certified practitioners. I have heard from a qigong instructor (claiming that their grand master teaches that) that it's not a good idea to mix different “types” of qigong (or qigong and tai chi) because the energy will become confused. Have you heard anything like this from any of your instructors on your qigong journey?
Hi Olya, thank you for interesting question. Although I have never come across the concept of the energy 'being confused', what the grandmaster may apply is that traditionally ( we are talking ancient taoist practitioners) it is not common to change teachers/master on your path. If you begin with one we practice with him/her for life. It would be viewed a dishonour for a master if the student leaves. Although the philosophy and principles of Taoist Qigong are the same, each masters and different school tend to have their own take which can lead to conflict. I’m a big believer that the energy that we refer to in qigong is of high intelligence so as long as we follow the principles like do no harm, listen to your body and less is more, we would work in harmony with the energy.

Leave it up to us humans and our tendency to complicate things when it's unnecessary! But that's Ok: our human side has its role and advantages in our growth, too.
