  • Note to self next time there's no water, just leave and order a bowser instead of trying to recycle dirty water xD

I hope the spendy filter cleaning ultimately ends up being an investment to larger opportunities. Doing stuff for stadiums, the city or even the county COULD lead to more contracts, maybe even steady contracts. It'd be good to be on the top of the cities list I'd imagine. I also hope you didn't walk away with no profit after the repair.
    Good stuff, Sid, good stuff.
    👍

Oh yeah. I know at least around here one of our fire departments and police departments uses a local lawn service company every month so something like that could absolutely lead to stability

Might be an idea to invest in an external filter for your pressure washer in case you have to do something similar in future. I'm sure you could fabricobble something fairly cheap from a cartridge filter housing and some plastic fittings.
Or maybe look at standpipe rental. I've no idea on costs so don't know if it'd be worth it or not.

If you're going to be doing jobs like this, you don't need a bowser, you just need a tap to connect to the water line and permission from the local water authority, the same as they fill rollers when resurfacing roads etc! Have also been doing work in Birmingham for these games, good to see it all coming together

Good on you for giving it your best shot 👍! It's a shame that they wait until there's an event before cleaning the fountain instead of doing it regularly for the folk who see it everyday 🙄.

If I was the council. I'd replace the fountain and link it to the water potable water system. Fountains built like that on water cycling will never perform well down the line, especially if they have vertical jets. #swansea

You can hire them from HSS etc.

I don't understand the "oh, have an event, need to clean this fountain" logic. Why is there no fountain maintenance? Why does Sid have to drain and refill the finite water supply? Why isn't that just a regular thing? I get having to clean the stones and the tiles, but this seems ridiculous. >_

    Q. What’s that attachment you use for soaking and rinsing I can’t find one?
Always hard ! Because of you I bought a petrol jet wash! I’ve just done my driveway and it looks amazing ! But the mess it made as I don’t have a surface cleaner… and public walking past making sure I stopped and trying to laugh at the 20th comment of “you can do my driveway next” 😂

Great job in difficult circumstances. Can you get filters that filter out more rubbish? I guess the only alternative would be to include the hire costs of a bowser if you have a tow bar on the hire van? How did you get that job all the way down in Brum?

Hello I Have a Question. I have a IBC Tote on the back of my truck and it is not feeding the pressure washer enough water that is located in my enclosed trailer. I don't have a clue on why I have tried buying different hoses and changing the height of the hose or pressure washer but I still don't have results. I would really appreciate any help, I love your videos!

Too bad the office that hired you didn't warn you that the filters in that fountain didn't work...and obviously hadn't worked for a long time! It seems that proper maintenance was put on hold through all the last two "Covid" years, and no one realizes how expensive it is to recover after no maintenance! Sorry it's going to cost you to repair your machine. I guess the saying "live and learn" comes to mind. Too bad it's costly to learn that lesson. Enjoyed the video in spite of the issues.

Seems like a pretty poor design to start with. Having created a few (much smaller) water features myself it is obvious that not enough thought went into the ease of maintenance.
