Honestly, of all the Classic Series Doctors, 4, 5, and 7 would best mesh in with the New Series. Four because he virtually laid the groundwork for every later portrayal of the Doctor by longevity alone, Five because of his influence on Ten's portrayal, and Seven for the simple fact that his serials were closest in writing and presentation style to that of the New Series, particularly from "Remembrance of the Daleks" onwards.
FROM: _The Greatest Show in The Galxaxy_ MORGANA: "We had quite a few years, going from planet to planet. But we've really gotten settled in here since..." THE DOCTOR: "Since?" I love this! My favorite is 2:02. When I first saw that episode, I laughed about it for days. XD So many people forget about classics. It's totally worth it to go through and just watch them all. Took me over a year to do it though. lol
" You have the mouth of a prattling jackanapes, but the eyes tell a different story. " Best line ever! Pretty much sums up the Doctor right there. And I love the Doctor's reaction. Davison nearly manages to look a bit sinister.
My favorite line of modern Doctor Who is from "The Doctor, the Widow, and the Wardrobe" where the Doctor says a few of his alternate names, including "Get off this planet". XD I'd include a lot more Matt myself, but I know everyone has preferences.
I know you had to stop somewhere but that 'Voyage of the Damned'-"I'm the Doctor, I'm a Timelord, I'm over 900 years old and the only person who can save you-"-bit is one of my favourites.
it's a cool quote, but I've always had a problem with it. how can the doctor be 903 years old in voyage of the damned when he was 900 years old when he regenerated into the sixth doctor? even if the war doctor era is not counted, how can the entire 6, 7, 8 9, and early 10th doctor eras have all occurred in three years? unless i'm missing something, I don't think RTD got the doctor's age correct.
I wish that would work, but to act like he wouldn't know his age was that off when he stated it before, and many years have past, that's too much not being accurate. also in the past, whenever the doctor didn't know his age perfectly, the writers always made sure to have someone correct it for him so that the audience knew the correct age. for example, in The Ribos Operation, when the doctor mentioned his age, romana reminded him of his true age and how he was off by a couple of years. if ur gonna state an incorrect age, for the sake of the audience knowing the truth, you have to have to have the true age presented elsewhere somewhere, or else that false data u gave off will appear as truth. as writers, we're taught that if u give a lie/error and never let the audience know that it is a lie eventually is bad writing, bc now that audience will think it is fact and will state it as such. also in between the fourth doctor and the sixth doctor, he had aged over 100 years, and that was where there was only 1 incarnation in between them. again how would he think three years have only gone by with four doctors in between him and the sixth doctor? and this is confirmed fact, bc when he states that he's 900 years old in the trial of a timelord, none of the timelords correct him the way that romana has to-- so six was accurate, even when he was suffering from post-regeneration shock. ten is not suffering from that. also yes, time does work differently in the tardis, but he is aware of the time relativity, and always has been. therefore, for ten to state his age as fact, when ur excuse of 'he probably doesn't know his age', doesn't really work, bc whenever u present such a solid statement like ur age, and its wrong, then u allow it to appear as fact and don't bring anything forward to show the truth of it, then it becomes truth to everyone who watches it, and it's not in fact that at all. bc ten says he's 903 yrs old, unless someone watches classic who, they will believe that he is. when RTD was just not correct, or presented an intentional error in the wrong way. also, when it comes to important continuity, like the doctor's age, its good to know if the doctor is accurate or not in the grand scheme of things, or u can fudge what happens along his timeline and where. these are just my findings based on all the doctor who that I've seen. if u have any evidence telling me that he really is 903 in voyage of the damned, then i shall be happy to agree with u. in truth, it seemed like the doctor's age didn't start becoming more sensible again until the moffat era, when he was around a thousand years old in series 6, around 1200 years old in series 7 and then eventually he admitted that he couldn't remember his age by day of the doctor. if u lose track of ur age, fine, but it has to be admitted eventually. I respect ur thought, but I can't agree with it. if he's wrong about his age when he's ten, then it must be indicated that he is off, or the error comes across as if the writers didn't research things properly. peace :)
Two of my favorites: 7th Doctor: (Remembrance of the Daleks) "Ace, give me some of that nitro-9 you're not carrying!" and 4th Doctor (City of Death): "I say, what a wonderful butler! He's so violent!" 9th Doctor (quoting from memory, from Aliens of London) to Rose: "Who knows more about aliens than I do?" Rose: "Sir Patrick Moore?" Doctor: "Okay, besides him."
I think that the first doctor is underrated. I certainly didn't used to think much of him. He is very different from all the others, and I think that's what puts most people off.
He’s really not that different, except maybe in his first few stories (though when I saw his first-ever scene I immediately ciuld tell he was the same character David Tennant played). The sad thing is that most people don’t give him a chance beyond that.
Cass: "Where are we going?"
Eighth Doctor: "Back of the ship."
Cass: "Why?"
Eighth Doctor: "Because the front crashes first. Think it through."
Four minutes? That’s ages. What if I get bored or need a television, couple of boos. Anyone for chess? Bring me knitting!

If season 11 and 12 of modern who could be summed up in one sentance.
Series 11 and 12 of NuWho
"I'll just step inside this police box and arrest myself"
I love all the Doctors, but God, do I love Peter Davison.
Ditto.
@@TerryTheNewsGirl he is fun!
You're gosh darn right. I'm the best!

3:41 is my favorite
Patrick Troughton is a clown and I love it
CodeAndGin Quite the clown, that one.
Even One agreed! (when talking about Three and Two)“So you’re my replacements? A dandy and a clown?”
The 5th doctor would fit brilliantly in new who as the doctor
Doctor who Productions As much as I love the 5th doctor, I think he would be too similar to the 10th.
Hippie Whovian the 10th is married to his daughter afterall
Honestly, of all the Classic Series Doctors, 4, 5, and 7 would best mesh in with the New Series. Four because he virtually laid the groundwork for every later portrayal of the Doctor by longevity alone, Five because of his influence on Ten's portrayal, and Seven for the simple fact that his serials were closest in writing and presentation style to that of the New Series, particularly from "Remembrance of the Daleks" onwards.

I swear. William Hartnell inside a dalek case has to be one of the best things ever.
FROM: _The Greatest Show in The Galxaxy_
MORGANA: "We had quite a few years, going from planet to planet. But we've really gotten settled in here since..."
THE DOCTOR: "Since?"
MORGANA: "Well, you have to hang up your travling shoes and stop wandering sooner or later, don't you?"
THE DOCTOR: "So I've been told... Personally, I just keep on wandering..."

I love this! My favorite is 2:02. When I first saw that episode, I laughed about it for days. XD
So many people forget about classics. It's totally worth it to go through and just watch them all. Took me over a year to do it though. lol
9:41 Words I wouldn't expect to hear the Doctor of all people say.

What episode was that ??
Patrick Troughton ages about 50 years at 3:48
Thanks for the laugh. 😂
I love Hartnell’s giggle. Reminds me of Yoda’s giggle.
Yep. That's why I dubbed Yoda's laugh over Hartnell in one of my early Classic Crack Nonsense videos.
" You have the mouth of a prattling jackanapes, but the eyes tell a different story. " Best line ever! Pretty much sums up the Doctor right there. And I love the Doctor's reaction. Davison nearly manages to look a bit sinister.
The "an apple a day" one was my favourite
"Dont drop that banana"
"Why?"
"Great soure of pottasium" - 9
Someone loves the Fifth Doctor and isn't very fond of the Sixth or Twelfth Doctor.
Perri was the sexiest assistant ever! Nicola Bryant, we love you!
My favorite line of modern Doctor Who is from "The Doctor, the Widow, and the Wardrobe" where the Doctor says a few of his alternate names, including "Get off this planet". XD I'd include a lot more Matt myself, but I know everyone has preferences.
"Do you mind not standing on my chest, my hat's on fire"

"Um. Sorry it seems to be locked!"😂
0:53 "Now please stop buggering me."
“Logic, my dear Zoey, merely allows one to be wrong with authority.” -the second Doctor
That ending with the 7th and 5th Doctor bloopers, makes me laugh every time.
He's a time traveller; probably HE doesn't know how old he is
I wish that would work, but to act like he wouldn't know his age was that off when he stated it before, and many years have past, that's too much not being accurate. also in the past, whenever the doctor didn't know his age perfectly, the writers always made sure to have someone correct it for him so that the audience knew the correct age. for example, in The Ribos Operation, when the doctor mentioned his age, romana reminded him of his true age and how he was off by a couple of years. if ur gonna state an incorrect age, for the sake of the audience knowing the truth, you have to have to have the true age presented elsewhere somewhere, or else that false data u gave off will appear as truth. as writers, we're taught that if u give a lie/error and never let the audience know that it is a lie eventually is bad writing, bc now that audience will think it is fact and will state it as such. also in between the fourth doctor and the sixth doctor, he had aged over 100 years, and that was where there was only 1 incarnation in between them. again how would he think three years have only gone by with four doctors in between him and the sixth doctor? and this is confirmed fact, bc when he states that he's 900 years old in the trial of a timelord, none of the timelords correct him the way that romana has to-- so six was accurate, even when he was suffering from post-regeneration shock. ten is not suffering from that. also yes, time does work differently in the tardis, but he is aware of the time relativity, and always has been. therefore, for ten to state his age as fact, when ur excuse of 'he probably doesn't know his age', doesn't really work, bc whenever u present such a solid statement like ur age, and its wrong, then u allow it to appear as fact and don't bring anything forward to show the truth of it, then it becomes truth to everyone who watches it, and it's not in fact that at all. bc ten says he's 903 yrs old, unless someone watches classic who, they will believe that he is. when RTD was just not correct, or presented an intentional error in the wrong way. also, when it comes to important continuity, like the doctor's age, its good to know if the doctor is accurate or not in the grand scheme of things, or u can fudge what happens along his timeline and where. these are just my findings based on all the doctor who that I've seen. if u have any evidence telling me that he really is 903 in voyage of the damned, then i shall be happy to agree with u. in truth, it seemed like the doctor's age didn't start becoming more sensible again until the moffat era, when he was around a thousand years old in series 6, around 1200 years old in series 7 and then eventually he admitted that he couldn't remember his age by day of the doctor. if u lose track of ur age, fine, but it has to be admitted eventually. I respect ur thought, but I can't agree with it. if he's wrong about his age when he's ten, then it must be indicated that he is off, or the error comes across as if the writers didn't research things properly. peace :)
When asked why the Doctor moved the TARDIS he states " I'm 2000 years old I don't like stairs"
@@philadelphiawhovian5641 nope he didnt! 10th is closer to 1500 years old
"An Apple a day keeps the-eh never Mind..."
6, 11, an 12th doctor had some pretty awesome quotes that didn't make it in here. but otherwise, this was pretty awesome!
"I didn't know I was looking for it until I found it" -5th Doctor
I think that the first doctor is underrated. I certainly didn't used to think much of him. He is very different from all the others, and I think that's what puts most people off.
Bill Hartnell was THE Doctor. THe original. There was none before. And he was just great.
He’s really not that different, except maybe in his first few stories (though when I saw his first-ever scene I immediately ciuld tell he was the same character David Tennant played). The sad thing is that most people don’t give him a chance beyond that.
5:43 Why does this man remind me so much of Matt Smith, even though he'd have been a newborn baby when this episode aired?
Yeah it sounds like him
4:11 onwards is well edited
