- A muddler and an intruder, combined and scaled down to a crunchy little trout snack! Learn some new techniques and tie up a few swing flies for trout, steelhead, or salmon.
Excellent ideas.
Nice tying very well explained
Very cool pattern.....I like the way you tied in the wire to keel the hook, I've never seen that before. Cant wait to try and tie up a few. Thanks for sharing!
Have fun!
Thanks for doing these videos Andrew! I really dig this fly and your fly designs in general. I also really like the little tips for added durability along the way. If only I were so creative a fly designer!
My pleasure!
Thanks for sharing. Such a cool tie!
Glad you like it! Thanks for checking it out!
Great tie Andrew. Never thought about a muddler/sculpin type intruder. Assume you swing this just like a steelhead swing. Alsoassume this would work on a Waddington type shank.
Yes, just fished down and across. I find it a little easier to tie on a streamer hook perhaps, but Waddingtons are great too.
Great pattern. Is it still possible to change out the stinger hook with the mono loop when needed?
Thaanak you Stephan.Y es, the hook cn be changed with some effort and finesse.
