  • Intruders for trout are a great tool for swinging on skagit lines. Tie these trout spey fly patterns either unweighted or weighted. SUBSCRIBE HERE: ua-cam.com/users/subscription_...
Trout spey intruders mimic traditional intruders for steelhead and salmon, but are generally tied a little smaller.
The materials we used in this fly can be swapped out for your favorite intruder materials. We love greens, blacks, browns and whites for tying this pattern.
I happened to us a lot of Pheasant materials for this fly, but substitutes will still make this fly an great one for swinging for trout. You can also use a forward hackle at the very end to protect the marabou and add even more water pushing characteristics.
    Tight Lines!

Going to try some on tubes , seams like a good idea , then I can stack them if I want to make a bigger fly . What could go wrong

That's a fantastic fly. Really fishy colors, great use of materials: size, profile, movement.

Thanks for the dubbing loop trick with short marabou. Will try. You should do a video of out takes. It would be fun.

Sure thing! Thank you so much for watching! I have so many clips of near falls and slips on the river, it would be funny lol

Do you like orange on the back end of your trout patterns?

I definitely love orange hot spots for sure! Nowadays, I'm tying orange in the back of most of my trout flies. Thank you so much for watching!
