Hey Andrew... I love that all your flies are super durable Personally I love foam and how it can survive the mouth of a brown trout like no other material (well maybe except kevlar), I did see on Umpqua that you tie a Trico pattern, will you be doing a video on that sometime? if you do (I know that smaller flies are harder to film) if you took a few minutes to show your prep as well, I think that it would help I noticed that all your materials are pre-cut (in this video, for example, how wide do you decide to cut the pieces for an individual fly? ) which saves time but I think that it might help us to see the process. regardless your flies are amazing thanks for the channel and the inspiration!
Hey thanks for the feedback! I almost always explain proportions of stuff, but I neglected a couple in this video for sure. The width of the foam strips are all equal to the hook gap. The trico pattern you saw is my "Spin Doctor." It's a quick little fly, I'll try to get that one tied on video soon.
LOL. You tie a nice fly and no doubt you have had great success with this pattern. The water walker has been a winner for many folks for many seasons. Just don't try to pass this off as new pattern, bud.@@andrewgrillosflyfishingfly1517
Hi Jer, Replying to mouth breathing cretin fly police cuts into my passion for aggressive inline rollerblading. Thank you for making the internet a safer place I bet the dancin Ricky is a little big for your local streams around boulder. Best of luck in your quest, be well
Awesome stonefly pattern! I don't know how I missed this one from your channel, but can't wait to tie some up.
Cheers
Great! enjoy, and happy tying
Appreciate the technique approach - Learned a few tricks- thanks!
Great to hear!
This looks like an awesome fly and I can't wait to try tying it.
Have fun!
Thank you, Rich, you did an excellent job tying up this one from what i saw on instagram
@@andrewg658 thanks Andrew, means a lot coming from a talented guy I respect.

It's definitely been proven there! Thanks!
really nice looking fly
Thanks Macrae!
Awesome. I've been waiting for this fly, trying to find out it's name ever since it was mistakenly added to Field and Stream.
Great! I'm happy to have this one uploaded!
New drinking game. Take a shot of whisky every time you say the words 'I' and 'me'. Death by alcohol poisoning. 😅😅
Is that an Ari Hart reel behind you. Love mine.
Hi chris, I'm a total reel geek and have a decent collection that includes 5 ari T harts
Curious who makes the transparent foam for the wing? Love your videos!
This fly is taking off on the Bitteroot
i love it when the Dancin Rcky hatch is on
That is a Dornan's Water Walker. Been around a long time.

This is absolutely not a WW. Similar elements but an entirely different fly.
