I was there and felt so lucky. I wish everyone on this tour could see this. It was so beautifully done with just this encore segment at the end. Don't know honestly why there was so much resistance. This could have been a sweet segment at the end of every night. But grateful we got this one night at least.
Greg has great fashion sense, great voice he and Steve together were perfect. Iconic voice and gorgeous. He kept the band together and everyone looked happy.
I fell in love with this song from the first note I heard, Greg on lead with Steve backing him up on vocals with his own personalised touch it was mind blowing
I can just close my eyes and I remember the first time I heard this song. Greg's vocals were perfect & then you add in Steve Perry? This was a band that became a part of my Friday night, put on the album, get the bong and lay on the front grass and look up at the stars...and just let it breathe! So good to see Greg and hear him. Great memories here.
Three singers and the old energy is back the way I remembered Journey in the beginning. If only Steve could come back. It's a big tent and room for all. Spreading the vocals gives the band more longevity
Si es verdad, la voz de S.P sta rota ,nunca cantara mas, seria una verguenza si vuelve a cantar y el lo sabe, pobre, sera q con un buen Couh del canto no mejora su voz?
They paid attention to the comments sections throughout the years and saw that the public wanted Greg back..Not the same heart and soul as the original recordings but nonetheless they still gave us the opportunity to hear it again.
Hey Journey! All of you belong on stage! Give the fans everything you have to offer. Please set down your differences and bring us the live music of Journey through ALL the years, from all the band members, and DO NOT let Arnel go - FANS ADORE ARNEL!
Great!!! Greg Rolie awesome and Arnel is singing back to excellent.. journey you guys rock.. it's great you have a drummer you can sing high and the keyboard player who can also sing to cover when needed.. Plus one of the best guitar players Neal.. with you in journey and Luke in Toto it's guitar heaven.. 😀
Steve Perry should be the first name he thank because none of them would be where they are today without mr Perry in all honesty whether they want to admit it or not without Steve Perry we all with not there name Amen
How about Ansley Dunbar and George Tickner(at least for the songs from the first album or Charge Of The Light Brigade Demo? How about Prairie Prince(at least for the songs from the Charge Of The Light Brigade Demo)? And this is not the first time with Gregg Rolie. How about the Journey Through Time concert with Gregg? Anyways, this does not compare to the first three Journey albums with the original lineup nor does it compare the live shows of Journey before Perry joined in late 1977?
OK, now you boot Cain and Arnel, bring back Steve (never happen) then you have Journey. Can't be accomplished? Then come back to reality. You made your money, stop soaking up more from the past - RETIRE. It will NEVER be what it was.
Lol as much as Steve Perry was the great Frontman of Journey, it would be funny if you hear him out of tune with them high notes. He aint the same no more.
Gregg can still perform (even at age 76!), but Arnel is done. His voice is faltering in much the same way Steve Augeri's did from constant strain for the higher-pitched parts. That's why you didn't hear the echo vocals in the latter part of the song against Neal's guitar solo - Arnel simply can't do it. Time for him to go.
Gregg is only here temporarily like the last time he was with Neil on the Journey Through Time Tour. Gregg is employed either by Ringo Starr in Starr's band or Toto. That's where his bread and butter these days. When Ringo and Toto come calling, Gregg has to be there. So don't get your hopes up about this so-called reunion. It's just another desperate Journey publicity stunt that is the final sequel to Journey Through Time gig. To me, Journey was done when Perry joined the group. Journey(1973-1978 RIP). Journey needs to retire and hang it up. They are way past their prime.
I just want to add that I saw Journey out here in Wichita, Kansas just last night, and we had 10,000 people in that packed arena and we were all enjoying the show. Why retire when you can still sell out arenas? And fyi I was born in 79, and I only became a Journey fan because of Arnel. I should add I have seen Journey 4 times in the last 7 years. I have also seen a few dozen other bands that barely have any original members and yet I still love them, and you can thank Foreigner from 2005 who got me hooked on classic rock.
@@HighwayLand This does not compare to the first three Journey albums with the original lineup nor does it compare the live shows of Journey before Perry joined in late 1977. The material on the band's debut Columbia Records albumappears to be more of a marriage of progressive rock and jazz fusion than the pop-driven hard rock format that it would later embrace with Perry. The Journey heard here was more about musical acrobatics and frantic solos than it is about melodies and well constructed rhythms. That skill would come later after Perry joined, Tickner departed, and Dunbar, who had bolted to join Jefferson Starship was replaced by Steve Smith. The hit making version of the band would remain together until 1987. Today, Schon and Valory remain in a version of the band that has virtually no musical connection to the band recorded for their 1975 debut self-titled album.
@@johnpolitis9060 Yes, you are correct and I agree with you. I have the live in Houston 1981 DVD, that concert is not only phenomenal but it still beats the concert from last night! BUT I still like this new Journey. and 10,000 people joined me last night in agreement. And if you don't like them then why are you here? I don't like Backstreet Boys, but I don't find some BSB videos and talk crap about them.
@@davebasch5995 your the only one who knows or understands your comments... Song of journey with Greg Rollie sucks! People don't pay for a concert just to hear a never ending solo of Niel shon and Greg Rollie's dead songs... We pay what we deserve we don't want some unknown dead songs!
@@davebasch5995 your comment sucks too! Only those old folks can relate to those journey's first albums or Greg Rollie's era... Steve's legacy songs! That's what makes journey successful and it's what people pays for not some journey's dead songs...
Steve and Greg together was perfection
Glad the whole band went out in support of Greg... he really is a part of Journey.
I was there and felt so lucky. I wish everyone on this tour could see this. It was so beautifully done with just this encore segment at the end. Don't know honestly why there was so much resistance. Yeah and so was Ansley Dunbar, Prairie Prince, and George Tickner as well.
Now that’s the version of Journey I want to pay to see.

Is so good seeing Gregg Rolie performing with Journey! Such an iconic voice.
The Man played Woodstock... So glad we got to see and hear you..Cheers
For sure. Breath of fresh air for us old folk.
Glad to see Gregg back with Journey. They sound awesome.
wow was so great to hear the good ole journey with gregg and neil!!!
I fell in love with this song from the first note I heard, Greg on lead with Steve backing him up on vocals with his own personalised touch it was mind blowing
In this rendition, you KNOW it was NOT Steve Perry but Arnel Pineda?
great collaboration
Before all the glamor there was Gregg
Such a great song! I was 14 when it came out
Greg looks fantastic
Wow!! 🔥🔥🔥😘🔥🔥🔥
GLAD TO HEAR AND SEE GREGG, MISSED HIM. PLUS HE STILL SEXY AND THE REST OF THE GROUP SOUNDED AND PLAYED GREAT!
Cool 😎

Arnel/Steve, Greg, and who?
Steve will never be back, his voice is shot, his studio album that he put out last year sounded crap and was quickly forgotten.
Si es verdad, la voz de S.P sta rota ,nunca cantara mas, seria una verguenza si vuelve a cantar y el lo sabe, pobre, sera q con un buen Couh del canto no mejora su voz?

Greg sounds great!
This needs more 👍👍👍👍up
The combination of greg and arnel are incredible. Journey never stops delivering even 50 years later.

Using EVH amps - that says something about how good that gear is!

Journey wasn't Journey without Greg.
Greg made the band!
Actually Steve Perry and Greg Rollie do
ALL YOU NEED IS STEVE PERRY!!!!!!! TO MAKE JOURNEY WHOLE!!!!!
Babe, Perry can't hit the notes anymore. 74 is a bitch, but it happens.
I'm seeing Journey in Cleveland 7/30/24. I know they won't be as good. With out Steve
Go go baby boomers! Let Arnel Pineda sing After All These Yrs!

He ain’t even playing
I most certainly know who Gregg rolie is but why is Lieutenant Dan from Forrest Gump there lol
The hundred people in the audience who knew who he was seemed to quite enjoy it.
I would hope that a REAL Journey fan would know who Gregg Rolie is
Go away Neil!!!
After listening to that, it’s unmistakable how much life and energy Arnel brings to Journey. Fun to see Gregg but Where would we be without Arnel.
Gregg's thinking great, I can pay my credit card bills now. (Make sure Neal pays you in cash).
I don’t think Gregg needs the money. Lol
Perry only
