The years of reps really shows through when you see Mark do a few continuous mill reps. It looks very fluid and “pretty”. Seeing the goal visualized.
Mind blown! What a simple solution, that I will now be working on for the next few months. Very cool!
Mace hand slide! I'm continually amazed how Mark keeps coming up with interesting stuff to show us, for years now.
You answer the question I am always asking. I usually say there is something to learn on your video.
Keep up the good work bro.

Hey Mark, excellent video. I know what I'll be practicing this afternoon - I never thought of doing full length mills with the mace in this way. I've always gone from circles at the front to mills at the back with the middle grip. This is a great way to do it without breaking the flow. (And yes - I did hit my head many times on the mills, before learning to move out of the way. Always when getting tired...) Thanks very much for the new software to load.
I am psyched to get into mace flow! This looks really cool!
Love this series! Thanks Mark
I do my mace mills on the edge of my porch one meter above the ground.
That way I can do very long outside/inside circles, holding my mace by the end of it.
It feels really great.
Thank you for awesome video and tips Mark!
Loving this mini-series on 1arm mace.
Nice! I have a selection of sledge hammers I use that have perfect length handles but my one actual mace has a long lever and I was hiking my elbows up to use it. Now I know!
Mark this looks not only safer but a more grip challenging version with the drop! So in addition to keeping our joints healthy- we're getting a more intense workout! I'm excited to try this! Thanks Mark! And I'm looking forward to meeting/working out with you in Thailand next year!! Also I just bought 2- 10 pounders and a 20 from gopher performance cause they have a hell of a sale right now. And I think the only reason they're still available is because the website lists the regular price so only people that got their catalog are privy to the sale! Where else can you get a 10lb mace for $16?!
$16??????? That’s incredible
Still the 🐐
This is a favorite
Hey Mark. For all these mace exercises you suggest going through at least 3 weights for each one. Just wondering, is that with volume cycles or TUT ? Thanks for all the knowledge you give us.
a third through the video and "what an incredible view!"
Curious what your thoughts are about the trade offs of using sledgehammers to perform mace/club exercises & flows.
I know once I get up to higher weights I’ll need and will likely invest in a mace, but with an 8, 12 and 16# sledge in my garage, it seems more economical to use those to get in this rotational, shoulder & forearm/grip training - with an implement I normally use for other purposes.
Sledge hammers can flip really fast because the handle is light so just watch your teeth. But I started with sledge hammers 10 years before steel mace where cheap enough to be affordable
“Pop like grapes…”- Truly gruesome description!
thats a good one
And don't forget your tide chart.
Hey all. I don’t have a Mace yet. I’m waiting for Adex to get their “super fat handle” in. Should just get an Onnit mace for starters while I’m waiting? What do you all think? I have 1 KB Kings adjustable KB, and a Adex club. Thanks!
I followed Mark's suggestion and got a cheap one off of Amazon that works great. I only use a light 10 lbs. mace for movement patterns like Mark's videos.
The 10lb Onnit mace is a quality product. It will outlive you.
I have the 10, 15 and Quad Mace.
@@jasondyhouse7292 Thanks! I’ll check it out.
@@CalTN Copy! Thanks!
Get a cheap 10 pound mace for like 35 bucks on amazon - you'll use it the rest of your life learning new stuff, warming up, flowing, etc.
What if one gets on a sturdy box to avoid hiking the shoulder?
Sure
I've only done mace mills in sword grip. This is going on the list.
