This is great instruction . Exactly the type of teaching I was referring to on the podcast Mark. Love the reference to the empty stance... this is truly a form of martial arts.
Single arm inside swing with a club is probably the most fun and effective bicep exercise. I get an insane pump. Looking forward to trying it with mace
It's like you're psychic. I spent ages yesterday trying to work this out myself and found it awkward, then thought about asking you, and oh look, the exact video I wanted! Excellent breakdown as always, love the hints of where we can take this next. My list gets longerer all the time...
I was lucky to get a 6 kg Mace from the Netherlands here in Germany (as a supplement to DIY-Gada, Clubbells, Kettlebells and other stuff I have) In this exercise I like to let others take the lead. I don't like my toes and my face very much, but they are not that ugly. :D
Still trying to hunt down some place where I can buy regular-length maces, I definitely can't try this one with mine that are a good foot longer than the ones in the video. Definitely want to work on some stuff that can lead to flows as soon as I get one!
I do mills with my mace too, but avoid doing them when I am tired (because of said non weighted end). Well I also succeeded in hitting myself in the head with the knob of a heavy club (luckily the lightest I possess) so it might not be a mace problem ;-)
its called a cheetah. electric beach cruiser for my lady. uber is shutting down in california it seems and its a long way to work. i voted for a just peddle power but i was overruled.
@@MarkWildman Mark, some physio-therapists warn against rotational exercises with weights. They say it wreaks havoc on your lumbar discs. Would you comment on that for us?
@@Sheeeeshack i don't have to. all of human history is rotation with weight. literally every martial art, every wood craft, every metal craft, every pack basket, there is no point in human history except now where people think its bad. everyone is free to draw their own conclusions. but remember... people now, are the least healthy overallthat they have every been.
I feel like you may not have watched all of the video…. Thank you for your inventiveness education. From France
Thanks Mark. Quality as always. Really getting used to my 15 pounder. Going to be trying this tomorrow.
Please report afterwards. If possible! ;-)
Did these today. Great timing on the video. As always, you have the best way to teach all these movements. Your subs appreciate that and you!! ✌🏻
such a comforting way of awesome instructions

More Mace education please . I love your approch.
Thank you 🙏🏼
Great info!
Using a 6lb sledge for this, because that's what I had. Plan on getting a mace and think this with the outside circles are awesome.

Hey Mark, I'm getting some maces customized. Would love to know the dimensions of the ones you use.

I bet mark owns a 17th century polish sabre manual.
He owns 4
Thanks Mark, quality!
brilliant
You can use an RMT Club with these movements
I tried to mill when I first got my mace. Watch out for the non-weighted end. That's all I'm saying.

Gotta have the spot in the middle!

What do you think about staffs?
Like in general, you should definitely do lots of fight training with them
I've never seen clubs with a rubber coating
Equal parts afraid and attracted... badassedness required.
Between the chance to pop my toes like grapes and crushing my own skull, this one's a big NOPE.
Soft.
Lolz I did hit my toe one time with my mace. Hurt like a bitch. Luckily, didnt make full contact
No risk no fun.
