Thank you so much, I don't know if this will be a big difference maker but I have been dealing with a great deal of stomach problems and this provided a fraction of relief. I will be a part of your group for a while!
Thank you so much for this practice. After trauma, yin yoga has been a vital aspect of my healing. Your videos soothe and uplift me, and make my body feel relaxed in a way that is beyond words. Endless gratitude 🌀
Good morning Yinsters! This time of year we often struggle with digestion - the change of season, the holidays, dietary changes - all of this can cause digestive distress. This 30 minute practice is meant to bring balance to your digestion in a short time by focusing on the meridians related to our digestion! Enjoy! Peace, Aprille
I have autoimmune disease and it affects my pancreas, liver, and digestion in general. This exercise was peaceful and relaxing. I heard and felt the gurgling in my stomach. Thank you for creating this sequence.
You are so very welcome! I personally know what digestion struggles feel like and I am happy this practice helped your digestion fire up. I have a couple more practices focused on digestion like this on my channel if you are interested. Have a lovely day! Peace, Aprille ❤🌞
Thank you, Aprille! I'll keep you updated on my digestive health. I just started back up with this one, it really helps me conquer malabsorption, food intolerances, celiac symptoms, etc. Glad to have your videos. You mean a lot to me.
You are very welcome Elizabeth and I wish you health and healing! I am so happy to hear you are enjoying the practices and have a wonderful week! Peace, Aprille
This one popped up for me and it is perfect because I am battling SIBO and found myself with greater than normal tummy bloating today. (I knew that ice cream last night was a bad choice - lesson learned). I also don’t have a lot of time before I have to go pick up my father-in-law from his bi-weekly cancer treatment so it is a great length, though I see another suggestion for a longer one I may due when I return. Anyone with digestive disorders should try intermittent fasting as well as that really helps me and gives the system a break so it can heal. Blessings to everyone!
You will find a lot of digestive practices on here as I too suffer from GI issues. I do find that using lots of twists with longer holds, and some belly compression helps and practices that focus on the earth element (stomach/spleen), bring more relief. Thank you for joining me Marilyn and I hope you feel better!
NM is indeed quite beautiful and seeing it in the spring is particularly special as everything slowly unfurls and grows. Thank you for joining me today Saskia.
Aprille Goddess, you have totally saved my night with this set. I awakened with severe sharp pains in my abdomen on right side. I could barely move to the floor to start this set, but I am so grateful I powered through it, because the pain is gone! You are amazing. Thank you so Much.
You're so welcome! I am sorry to hear you were feeling unwell and I hope you are doing much better now. Thank you for joining me and have a wonderful day! Peace, Aprille
Thank you and that is SO wonderful to hear! I love family yoga! What a wonderful practice to do together and I am happy to hear these practices are helping. Have a beautiful week! Peace, Aprille 🤗🌞💖
I will be doing these poses daily because my digestion is off track. Yrs of eating crappy and switching to a healthy lifestyle has changed my system. Thank you so much. 🤗
Hello Maureen - thank you for joining me today. I have a few other digestion related classes on the channel you could try as well (Yin Yoga Detox, Restorative for Digestion, and a few more just search digestion). I hope these help and I wish you a wonderful week. Peace, Aprille
You are SO very sweet! I am happy you enjoyed this practice. Thank you, thank you for being a part of this community and being so supportive! Namaste, Aprille ❤️🤗
This is one of my all time favorites for overall digestive care and I am glad you joined me today for this practice! Hope you are feeling well and have a lovely day! Peace, Aprille
Mine too! We can all use a little digestive reset right now. Thank you for joining me Sarah and I wish you a wonderful week and Happy New Year! Peace, Aprille
You are very welcome and thank you for joining me and telling me where you are from! I love to know where everyone is practicing from (I hope to visit Italy someday soon!). Have a wonderful weekend! Peace, Aprille 🤗💖
Always a great practice to return to in the fall/winter as it really helps keep digestion on track! Thank you for joining me Grace! Have a blissful weekend! Peace, Aprille
Feels good to be back into my practice with you...... was on a hiatus because of producing on online international health & wellness summit this past weekend. It really is amazing as to how much the body becomes less flexible in just 11 days....... Thank You for being here!
Thank you for uploading all these great sequences, I'm stuck in the house during the pandemic and working my way through your huge selection. Peace and stay safe :)
You are welcome and I am glad you are enjoying them while you are stuck at home. Let me know if you want any recommendations? Thank you and stay safe yourself! Peace, Aprille
@@YogaRangerStudio I've been running as my main exercise and using your yin yoga as my daily cool-down, but is there such a thing as too much yin? Is it safe to do daily? Today I noticed I've become pretty floppy. . . should I alternate days with Ashtanga?
It depends on your lifestyle as a whole really. If you feel you need more grounding, centering, "stretching" In your day, then Yin every day is beneficial. I personally practice Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin and Restorative each week for balance but sometimes, I will practice Yin every day! It just depends. If you love Ashtanga, definitely keep it I your weekly practices.... Each one will offer something different and needed.
@@YogaRangerStudio okay, that sounds good. I think I am being attracted to Yin daily right now because of the circumstances. Being shut in makes me slow down and yearn for meditative stuff. I think as long as I cross train I won't get too floppy. Thanks. Your feedback makes me feel less alone. I definitely thought there would be more Zombies in the apocalypse. . .instead it's just kind of binge watch old movies and read books. So far not one Zombie.
So glad! I know that Yin always helps my digestion recover and I am glad to hear it helped yours too. Thank you for joining me and have a great week. Peace, Aprille
Good morning Joanne! I hope you are feeling better but if you need another practice - here's a Restorative Yoga for Digestion ua-cam.com/video/TqBKNfGDbYo/v-deo.html This one might be good if your digestion is still fussy or you need to simply rest and let it relax and heal. Thank you for sharing your time with me and have a wonderful day! Peace, Aprille
It's works amazingly well! Have you tried the Yin Yoga Detox practice? Works well too and amazing for helping you feel better fast! Thanks for joining me! Peace, Aprille
Lovely short and sweet (or not so sweet for me, half saddle! In places). Seriously though thank you for sharing your practice. Love your tone and pitch of voice and as I was listening through my headphones I could also hear your heartbeat 💗 throughout the practice which was strange at first but then I got used to it 😆 anyway, many many 🙏❤️
hit the spot as always.😻 Question, in the "more pie pose"😎, does putting the foot flat knee up deepen the pose? As opposed to that opposite leg long? I have never done that before.🙏💜
It's a variation that for some people will indeed deepen it but for others it may not. I love to see what each position will bring me in my practice so feel free to try shifting your foot around even taking it out to the side or bringing your foot to the inside of your bent knee thigh and see how that feels and what sensations come up for you. Thanks for joining me Felicia and GREAT question!
Thank you for another lovely practice, Aprille! 🙌🏻 I have a question: what does it mean if I can feel the hardness in my bowels when massaging? Supposing I have not done anything particularly off with my eating, does this say something about my digestion?
Good question! Often it may mean that your body is waiting until rest and digest time (until it can relax) to process food properly. Some people have slower digestion as well due to health, age, history, medications, illness, hormone changes and more. Peace, Aprille
@@YogaRangerStudio this practice went a long way into the rest and digest state, definitely! Many many thanks Aprille, very grateful for your videos :)
You are so beautiful and charming, Aprille :-) And quiet grounded for a cat lady ;-) There are many yoga teachers with good intentions but I feel comfortable with only very few of them
Glad you liked it! Absolutely. If you feel that 2/3 of your maximum pose depth is better achieved without the bolster, then try it. I often use just a rolled blanket down my back and that's 2/3 of my maximum. It is a pretty deep pose and the bolster makes it accessible for more people. Have a great day! Peace, Aprille
Yin Yoga overall is a great practice to build bone strength along with light weight training. Much of this depends on your specific medical state and it's best to reach out to your healthcare team for suggestions for your specific situation.
If you are actively having an IBS flareup, you might want to reach out to your health care team as to what might be contraindicated for you at this time.
@@YogaRangerStudio actually I m on medication for it as well but my doc said its happening to me because of anxiety so thats why I tried yin yoga as I had very traumatised childhood I guess I have many blocked emotions .... will this practise help me for the same ?
I do one or two videos of you daily and never have I felt the need to push the thumbs down button :) The pose with the big bolster is impossible for me :D I don't understand how one can stay there for more than 5 breaths :))
It’s definitely a challenging pose and about 7 years ago, I would have said the exact same thing but Yin has helped me find some comfort here. You can always try the half version or if that’s too much, take a supported bridge with a bolster or blankets under the hips and legs stretched out straight. I have a Saddle tutorial that might offer some other suggestions you could try as well. Thank you so very much for your kind words and support and I wish you a lovely day! Peace, Aprille
