    A gentle yoga practice to help manage stress and anxiety.

    This Restorative Yoga practice is about finding deep stillness and relaxation to help you manage stress, anxiety and panic attacks. We focus on all the areas that hold tension from stress (back, belly, hips and shoulders) for a full body release.
    While stress isn't something we can get rid of, we can work to manage it with diet, exercise, meditation, breath and releasing into yoga poses for a nice long time - practicing self-care and taking a time out! Enjoy!

    Thank you very much Aprille. For yin yoga I always choose your videos. Your instructions are clear and I agree with everyone who says you have a soothing voice. Really important with yin yoga! I still feel some tension in my arms (it's very stubborn), but it was nice taking 45 min to really relax and focus on my breath, and my back feels less tight.

    I have been practicing with you for years and I think this is the first time that I came across that video! 🙌🙏That felt sooooooo amazing! I was dealing with very high energy and needed to get grounded. It was perfect. LOVED the pose with the bolster and the opened knees. Will do that practice again and again!     Hi Aprille, I’m new to your channel. I’ve done two yoga sessions with your videos so far. This is my second video. I was amazed by the results! My abdomen area felt so painful when I was in the child pose at first. But as I eased into the pose, the pain became less and less intense. I cannot imagine how much stress I’ve been holding in my abdomen area. I’m actually having anxiety issues, I think that gave me a lot of stomach troubles. I’ll continue to use this video to cope with my stress and anxiety issues. Thanks, Aprille, for this wonderful yoga video!

      Thank you Emerlyn and welcome to the studio! Anxiety can certainly cause digestive issues and that in turn causes more anxiety. I have some digestion practices on here (Restorative and Yin) that might help bring more balance to your digestive system. Might I suggest some Yoga Nidra as well? These meditations are very soothing, calming and help your body and mind unwind and release. I have several so just search Yoga Nidra on my channel. Wishing you health and wellness - Peace, Aprille

      @@YogaRangerStudio Aprille, I work in mental health in the UK and would like to introduce some of my clients to yin and restorative yoga practice and would like to recommend your channel. Do you by any chance have a beginner video with no or few props for the uninitiated that I could direct them to?

      What a lovely thing to add to their care! For Yin, much of what I use is optional and I offer alternatives for it such as using a towel, bed pillows and books/book sets. I do have some prop optional classes but it might be better to let them choose the class that fits their needs by searching the channel (each person can find what suits them). As for Restorative - the goal of Restorative is to allow your body to fully release and relax. Most people cannot do this without assistance - soft pillows, blocks, blankets. The support of these props (which once again can be replaced with bed pillows, blankets, throw pillows and towels), is pivotal in the relaxation process so I don't teach a class of Restorative without props (traditionally it is never meant to be offered without supportive props). The props allow us to fully let go and without them - it can be difficult, especially for beginners. I do have a few home prop videos for Restorative along with tutorials on how to make your own bolster with a bed pillow and towel.

What we really need to learn is how to manage stress in ways that prevent it from affecting our overall health - physically and mentally! This practice is all about that!     Hi Aprille, A lovely practice as always, but I really struggle with the laying my stomach over a bolster. It feels emotional and intense and a bit yuck. Any advice?x

      I completely understand as my first response to that was the same. You could try soft blankets or even simply lying flat on your belly with hands under head exploring the breath as it presses into the floor. I will say that as I worked more with my digestion and the tightness in my belly, I became more comfortable with the bolster... So take your time and maybe take a softer beginning.

    This was really nice I love the time spent on each move. I do enjoy a nice calming chime or music with my yoga, anyway you can make this happen? Also the poem was beautiful

      Wonderful! I am so glad you enjoyed this practice. I cannot add music after the video is already posted but you can always add your own personal music during the practice and that way you get exactly the volume and style of music you want and enjoy. Thanks for joining me!
