Hello, guys! Thanks for viewing the trailer: we appreciate it! We've noticed we've been getting a few comments about our comic being similar to My Pride, so we're just going to repeat what is in the video's description and what we've told somebody in the comments already: I Hope So originally started as a My Pride AU that we wanted to present in comic form but we ultimately decided that building up our own characters and world from the ground upwards was an easier way to tell the story we wanted to tell. Especially since we've been vocal about our concerns with the original show's writing and handling of its themes. We have also done our utmost to do things as differently as we can but - obviously - we knew from the very beginning that there were going to be similarities between the two stories. That's unavoidable, given the comic's origins. Hence why we've cited the show as an inspiration on our socials since the comic started its run nearly two years ago. Including the description of this trailer. Thank you for reading, and we hope you enjoy the comic.

It says RIGHT THERE that the comic was inspired by My Pride. There is also an earlier comment where the authors stated I Hope So began as a My Pride AU. I can't speak for either of the authors, but I know if it were me, I'd be EXTREMELY frustrated reading the exact same comment over and over and OVER again when I've ALREADY addressed the comparison in the description, in the comments, and on most forms of social media promoting the comic. Additionally, my statement about the commenters potentially being kids has less to do with insulting their intelligence and more to do with the bulk of My Pride's viewers being children (despite the show's warnings for kids not to engage). It stands to reason the ones making said observations for I Hope So are also children. No, the insult was meant for the potential weens (AKA trolls) who have a habit of exhibiting similar behavior specifically to be a nuisance. Especially not when you're making excuses to be completely and utterly lazy. They are more than welcome to ignore me & comment what they want. I am more than welcome to express frustration that they did not have the foresight to read the description - wherein they would find the answer to their questions & an explanation for their observations - nor check to make sure everyone & his brother didn't already say the exact same thing.
