- An animation featuring a dream I had back in 2008. When I woke up, I wrote the details down so that I could do something with it in the future. 4 years later, here it is in the form of an animation where production began in 2012. First a dream, then as words, and now as an animation with voices. I hope you enjoy this story, even if it is really cheesy lol

*My mistake - Layna is NOT a Husky mix. Shes a Giant Malamute mix as shes much bigger & fluffier than a Husky.I wasnt aware of many dog breeds back then and thought she was a Husky.

Please keep in mind that in my dream, what was happening could only be understood through my experience, and therefore, in order for viewers to understand my dream, I had to create dialogue that explains what happens. Think of it like someone translated a set of pictures for you into words. Before, you only saw a storyboard, and some of the images did not make sense, yet after the author of those images gave them captions, then the story became understandable as it was 'translated' into your perspective of viewing.

WHY WORK ON THIS AND NOT TW3TBE?
-The reason why I worked on this rather than Tw3tbe was because I chose this story for a project. I decided to do my project as an animation, and thought that "Eighty-six" will work well. So I have been working on this for some time; in-consecutively. I also have been working on part 4 of Tw3tbe at the same time. Keep in mind, I DID NOT quit TW3TBE.
WILL YOU CONTINUE 86?
-Yes, and already animated a few parts. I wasnt able to finish the entire story in this animation, so I will definitely finish it. There is only a few minutes left, but I have to focus on other things in real life before I finish this story. When I do finish part 2, it will only be like around 5-7 minutes; thats how close it is to the end of that part of my dream.
HOW MANY HOURS DID IT TAKE YOU TO COMPLETE THIS?
-Ha, well, that is interesting. Unfortunately I didnt log my hours, but, I can for sure tell you that I went well over 200 hours. This includes animating and the editing process. I spent some days going without sleep to finish this. So doing this project was alot of wear and tear on me. I must now regenerate! The whole span of doing this was in the course of about - 2.5 months total, but in consecutively! I started animating this in 2012.
CAN I USE THIS FOR A MUSIC VIDEO or WRITE A FANFIC/STORY INSPIRED BY THIS?

CAN I HAVE MY CHARACTER IN THE NEXT PART OF 86?
-No, sorry.
WILL YOU FINISH 86 OR TW3TBE PART 4 FIRST?
- I am finishing Eighty-six first, and my reason why is because this is the last of this part of the story. I feel that it gives 86 closure rather than prolonging what is going to happen for 3 years (if I finish TW3TBE first). I am currently working on 86 and will aim to get it done within the year so that I can continue working more on part 4 of TW3TBE (and I already animated quite a bit of it as well).
WHY DO THE DOGS 'TALK'?
-They can talk relative to their perspective. If I didnt allow them to talk in the story, then you would be hearing dog sounds with subtitles. The parts where the dogs speak are for YOUR reference to understand what they are saying. The humans DO NOT understand them.Why do the mechs speak to the dogs? The mechs are programmed where the human command word/sentence are translated into frequencies for dogs to understand. With a combination of word-related-emotions, the dogs interpret it as so. Think of it as a command to the dogs. - Фільми й анімація
I was 13 when I first saw this, and now… I’ll be 23 next month… and I still think about this story and return to rewatch. Currently on my way to becoming a film producer and actress, this was the start to my own filmmaking journey. I know how long it takes to make anything as amazing as this. If you need funding I’m sure you could reach out to studios and pitch the story and get some bites, easily. Best ❤️

This pops up on my recommended every year and I always take a chance to rewatch it. This was one of the stories that started me on my own story making journeys. It's amazing to see its affect it had on other people as well. Who woulda thought that so many young kids would watch this and have a spark lit so ferociously because of it that even 10 years later it still holds as a source of inspiration. I wish you well in your career ❤

I remembered this from so long ago, I found it so interesting and only after watching a few wolf animations I finally found it again, its still amazing, and it feels like such a product of 2012, I absolutely love it and I hope that one day there will be a remake or a part 2, I can only hope though as it seems unlikely

This is crazy how long it's been since I've seen this. I was young when I seen it, I'm now an adult with a few kids of my own. They showed me this video and said it was cool. It made me so happy to hear them say that. Brings back so many memories of this. I do hope someday it can become a full on series if it hasn't already.

I must've been about 8 or 9 when I first saw this. Back then, I didn't understand much since English isn't my first language. I kept coming back to it however and it ended up becoming really important to me over time. I'm turning 20 this year and it's awesome to see this still existing, crazy how it feels nostalgic now.
I forgot I even had this in my "Watch Later" but I'm glad UA-cam recommended it

Heyy! I'm stopping by to say, wow. It's been 7 years since I've watched this animation. 7 years, yet I still think of it from time to time. I come back every once in a while when I remember it, and it leaves me with the same feeling. I'm in love with it! Haha, it's honestly amazing. It leaves me pondering in thought and never fails to lose my interest no matter how many times I watch it. I understand that with a job and a life outside of the internet it's very difficult to continue this animation. I'll be patient and if you ever come out with a new part. This is probably first home-made animation I've seen that I've had difficulty finding flaws. The animation is smooth and beautiful,the voices aren't hard to hear,and the sound affects are perfect.

Why do the Mechs have exposed muscle ps and tendons? It's looks like they could get hurt easily. Although it does add to the scary and evil look.

They are not actual muscle, just synthetic 'muscle' which is also for flexibility and internal wiring etc. - it certainly does make them more frightening to the people :)

The reduced portion of what was consider a mighty race took shelter in what they could find, and soon became more advanced to create such Machine Dogs to keep control of what was left of their own species.
More like the opposite, a hot wasteland with only the land closest to the poles being inhabitable by humans.

Wow. You had a dream like this? My dreams are usually fragments of weirdness. Like running through a grocery store then looking at Earth then waking up as a doll with wings and stuff. Love this, found it through a roleplay based off the video.

Lol. I had a dream this crazy dictator lady was killing screaming people- didn't see it happening, just kind of knew- and it was kind of a nightmare. I was riding past her in a minecart and yelled, "Stop!" Everything and everyone froze, and looked at me. I yelled, "Change it up!" and the scene changed... to the Simpsons having dinner? I guess I controlled my dream in a way, but I don't even watch that show or know much about it! At least it wasn't a nightmare anymore. Maybe I'm just crazy xD (Dang that got unexpectedly long. Sorry!)

I wish I could do that in my dreams. The only time I had every actually controlled one of my dreams was when I was in my drive way and I said, "I guess if I am in a dream I can fly?" And I tried flying... It didn't work...

10 years later and I still find this to be my most favorite indie animation I have ever found randomly on UA-cam. I was really big into the free RPG game Feral Heart and really into animal/canine stories like these at the time. Still am! (Animal stories anyways haha). I understand how life gets in the way and things change over the years, but dang if you have ever been wanting to get back into animating.... Finishing this story would be fantastic. Same with TW3TBE!!

this..i watched when I was 6, gave me the reason to start drawing and loving wolves. Ive been searching for this animation for a long time and it still holds a special place in my heart. ❤
I remember watching this when I was really young I loved to draw and make story's and when I saw this, I started to fall in love with animation so i made a story start to end. found many friends that would help and its become what it is today over time, now we have a animator and voice actors and lots of others who join what we called it "the team" and I still had memories of this animation to this day, so thank you.

You do realize professionally done animated movies take up to 2 or even 3 years to complete? Keeping in mind they have several different teams of full time animators who do it for a living. Assuming the creator is trying to make a full length movie, an hour or so long, that’s a whole lot of work for one person, we must also keep in mind they aren’t doing it full time like a job and that life may be more important and more to prioritize
