I love how the comic showed the cubs having spots but the grown lions don’t. Cubs naturally are born with spots but lose them after a few months to a year old, if I’m not mistaken. And in the next episode, the young lion that befriends Hope, they’re seen as masculine presenting, but identify as female. I hope I’m not getting the wrong idea 😅 But the thing is, there are actual lionesses with manes. They’re intersex. They’re born with female genitalia but have the ability to produce testosterone. Kevin Richardson has a lioness, I believe her name is Amy, who has a small mane, but is born with female genitalia. I’m guessing the lion/lioness that met Hope is supposed to be representation for trans women/intersex people. I’m not sure 🤷 It’s just something I caught onto and thought it was really cool, so I thought that was the representation that was intended.

That was one of the things they complained about in the analysis so I wondered if that was their way to take an opportunity and give trans women representation. My bad lol 😅

There was a section in an analysis video done by “ Detective Calico” where the LGBT+ representation was discussed and it talks about Moonstrikes character and how she’s really not good of representation for trans women. They also touch upon the fact that you would’ve had no goddamn clue Moonstrike was trans unless you had seen it on the Wiki or someone had told you. It’s on “ Detective Calico” ‘s channel if you wanna know more.

this is giving me so many Disney vibes, not just the Lion King vibe, because they're lions but also the fight between the two moms, but the fox and the hound, when the two subs sneak off to play like Todd and Copper did.

This is so cute and heartwarming but also giving a taste on reality on how cruel people can be. Just a cute adorable friendship between two lions. So excited for next episode 😁
Aaaaah! I’ve always wanted to see a comic dub of this series! You all did amazing and I hope to see more in the future! I especially like the effects added in. One criticism I have however is to make pauses for certain visuals, and it may be more trouble in editing but maybe add more sound effects for some panels? Like when Young Hope was walking when her missing leg was revealed for the first time, it could have been nice to have a walking sound effect or a zoom in on the walking panels to emphasize it some more. But ignoring all that, the voice acting was NICE

This is great! But… it’s A LOT alike my pride like… the main lion has a bad leg (they even have a mean mother!) and meets a lion without a pride… that cub she meets even has the same colours as hover! It’s still good just… a lot of similarities

I imagined Vicious sounding less like a stereotypical villain and more calm and motherly. But that's the cool part about perspective I guess :D
The art is spectacular! The talking bits where it show’s the cloud-like Lion had me a bit confused, but I have good hopes for this series! I’ll be disappointed if it ain’t better than the clusterfuck that My Pride was.
