Story 2: As someone who struggled with a stutter for the majority of my life (from about the age of 5 until about my mid-to-late 20s), this story enraged me in all the ways. 🤬🤬🤬
They’ve gone about trying to “fix her” in the most heartless, cruel, ineffective way possible. The fact that they think they can terrorize their child out of a speech impediment, like it’s the child’s fault, is appalling.
My heart breaks for their daughter and the toxic environment she’s being subjected to at the hands of those who are supposed to love and protect her.
I’m so mad, I would probably be stuttering right now if I were speaking these words. A stutter, especially a bad one, is often related to anxiety or stress in the extremes. And all they’re doing is making it worse and more traumatic.
    Straight to Ascon 1 x 10.

Story 5: OP doesn't need to feel bad about not being like her dad. It's safer for a man to take that kind of risk than a woman.

Story 2: I don't have a stutter, but I have social anxiety from getting bullied in school. My parents did the exact opposite, they did everything for me trying to help: ordering for me, making calls for me etc. I started therapy years later and we all had to learn, that I had to do these things by myself or at least try and now I'm very uncomfortable, but a lot better. My parents wouldn't dream of doing what this mother did. Having a stutter isn't just like "nah, I'm lazy, you talk for me." If she's this uncomfortable, she needs therapy and speechtherapy to cope with this. Not a-hole parents throwing her under the bus and siblings bullying her. I'm so sorry for this girl and hope, she gets better and out of this family.

Story 2: those parents are evil disgusting despicable people. Their daughter spoke fine at first and then began developing a stutter, they didn't take her to the doctor to check for head injury or neurological disorder, they didn't take her to a therapist to make sure it wasn't r@pe, bullying or something else. Instead they allowed her to suffer quietly for over a decade allowing her siblings to bully her and encouraging it by not only allowing it to their presence as well as only being bothered to correct them when it had gone too far. This poor kid was on her own the whole time, no one could be bothered to help or step in.

The mom/stepmom story fueled me with anger because as a mom and also have 2 bonus kids i would never overstep with the 2 kids mom those are your children and your business just like as a mom i wouldn’t want another woman in the dads life to try and take over MY role. The mfing audacity that stepmom has wtf

Wtf??? Mothers don’t apologize??? Who is this person??? She’s probably never been wrong in front of anyone either.
That whole cufflink thing is just weird.
I heard the Mune story somewhere else, and that the word meant breasts in another language?

Mune is a Jewish girls name, meaning restful.
Mune is also the Japanese word for breast.

Its always bothered me that people feel the need to comment on what people eat. I used to be a massage therapist, the spa industry is full of hippy health nuts and nearly everytime I would get fast food on break Inwould always get "how can you eat that, its so bad for you" ect. Im eating it because I feel like it, im not force feeding it to you, your imput isn't needed.
If I had an allergy like OP from the coffee story, I probably would have done the same lol

Fellow MT here who can totally relate! I was doing chair massage at an event where they offered us lunch. I rarely drink cola but they had a cooler full of sodas and I grabbed one because what the heck, they were free. The other therapist immediately started lecturing me about why I shouldn’t drink it, the chemicals etc. I just said something like “yeah, I know. I hardly ever drink this but was just in the mood for one today”. but I was thinking”just mind your own business and stop trying to suck the joy out of other people’s lives!”

My boyfriend had a girlfriend who he cared for throughout her illness and death from lung cancer. I do not mind at all that he has pictures of them because I understand that every relationship either of us have had made us the people we are now. Ironically 25 years ago I don’t know if he and I would have gotten together but because of our life experiences, we are compatible now.

Story 5 sounds like a fanfic
I love monster energy. I will only drink a java when I am not going anywhere that day.
Story 7: The late parents were out of line (ascon 3), but she needs to work on that insecurity.
Mune is a girls name. It is Jewish name meaning restful. It is also the Japanese word for breast.

For story 2, I’m not sure of it’s just how OP was raised, because I know older generations have been colder like this, but it is very upsetting to hear a parent purposefully embarrass their child and then not apologize for it. Parents should apologize when they recognize they handled a situation poorly. I’m new to being a mom, but I remember what it was like when I felt my parents did something wrong or said something hurtful and they didn’t apologize, so I make it a point to open up and take that responsibility with my own kids and validate their feelings. There’s a difference between helping your kids to improve and trying to force them by making them uncomfortable. Then they just no longer feel safe with you. It puts up a wall. Being older doesn’t make you better or excuse you from taking accountability. They need therapy.

A Q. Does a step mum have a legal right to personal info on the child? Like education or health?

Hmmm. I’d honestly say that the only 2 people I’d give my life up for are my 2 children. And yes I’d try to save my animals too!

I know I made terrible mistake! I was a young parent, as of lots to young teenagers. Well I had a very abusive childhood, and some through my young adult years. I didn’t know how to be a parent, no excuse! Well I was a hot mess! I needed help! When I got pregnant, I was going to terminate, father left the picture, I was a Whole and, emotional mess, didn’t have a job no education, I needed special education help, that my mom turn down, because I did do have a learning disability, so I thought this would’ve been the best, well my mom found out, made me go through with a Pregnancy, and I got no financial are emotional support. If I needed help, it was always go ask the baby’s father! Oh, that’s right he’s not around, figure it out! So I was able to do what I needed to do, and I wasn’t a good mother! Then I ended up getting physically ill, having multiple surgeries, btw barely anyone to help me, that was also my fault, my mother blamed me for being sick! Even though it was hereditary! From my moms side! Yup, well my son grandpa was a lot of help, he stepped up a lot when I don’t get sick. I had a conversation with my son. Apologizing for being basically a pos! I did get help for my mental illness, so when met my husband, had our son, I wasn’t the same person, and when I had my daughter, a year ago! I’m the parent I wish I was from day one. I still apologize, and the guilt is strong! I get told, I did the best, I’m not the same person blah blah. I don’t see it that way, I see it as my son got the shit end of the stick. So that comment about not apologizing to somebody younger really triggers me! Just because your order doesn’t excuse you’re bad behavior! And you get a pass! When you are wrong ur wrong! And you apologize!

Just because wife is carrying the baby does not mean she makes the final decisions with the baby, including his name. Tell her to grow up and her behavior is unacceptable and won't be tolerated and then stand behind that
