Story 1: if the dad's goal is to push his daughter further into needing to strip for money while simultaneously putting a wall between them, he's making the right moves.
He's not helping her overcome her problems nor is he talking to her as a respectful adult. Just bossing her around. Definite ASCON.

The guy w/ 20 yr old friend. This is kinda disturbing and makes me wonder why the daughter moved to begin with.

I think it would be so fun to guest on your podcast. I have a disability podcast and would love to talk about disability-themed AITA stories.

About the dry wedding, I don't understand why alcohol at a wedding is required? If my significant other and I ever finally get married were going to have a bunch of weed at our wedding. 🤣🍁

I don't think it will come to that, but as content creators, we have to be ready for whatever nonsense may be coming.

1st story. Dad is wrong and making matters worse. By refusing to help, she is put in a position of needing more money. Next step from stripping is escort service.

It was important to my family growing up to have trips for just us in the immediate family to go on adventures together and connect.
It can be as simple as that. A family trip for just them. They don't have the bring up the brother in laws disability, because it is fair for them to want a trip for just their immediate family in the first place.
It is clear they aren't trying to exclude their disabled brother in law as they go on trips with accommodations with them often.
Some direct but gentle communication would be helpful

Regarding the young couple getting married, I can't be that certain about the situation because I don't know enough details, but 19 seems way too young to marry for most people, even if they have known each other for years. Why not wait?
But yeah, also nta for wanting a dry wedding. That's totally at the discretion of the couple, even if the parents are helping out financially.

If daughter wants to strip for a living, thats fine. Shes an adult. As sqid adult, she now has the responsibility of paying for her own vehicle. As an adult, her father isnt required or obligated to help in anyway. Shes making more than she teliing him anyway.

Stripper daughter: it's his money, he can take it away if he chooses. Doing what she does, she most likely makes enough for a car payment, unless she is squandering it away or not putting any money back. If she can't afford a car on a stripper salary then she can get a second job. Many people have to work two jobs just to pay bills. It won't kill her. She needs to grow up and provide for herself and not rely on her father, because, one day, he won't be there. Also stripping is easy money... Hard earned money is not. Work harder and you will be better off.

1st story Father is 100% in the right. He gave other ideas, work study is an option, McDonald's as op said is an option. He was ok helping her without her selling her body. Other options just aren't as easy. Working full time and getting her degree online is also an option if she is that strapped for cash. And can you imagine having a coworker talking about your child. And yes I would judge the coworker for going to a strip club. It is disgusting all around

Actually the father is 100% in the wrong. He does not get to dictate what job his daughter works. Working at McDonald's isn't going to cover her food her gas her health insurance and anything else that she needs to be paying for. The father is only paying for her car insurance he cannot expect her to only work a job that he approves of period it's her body what she does with it is her own business. If you're going to give somebody help based on them following your rulesThen those rules need to be presented up front. And needs to be made very clear that There are conditions and stipulations that go along with the help. OP did not do that. It's very clear that you're letting your personal bias and opinion of sex workers interfere in your argument here. Stripping is not disgusting it is a valid way for some people to make money. You don't get to dictate how someone brings an income. If you don't like it pay all of their bills yourself And if you can't or are not willing to do so then Honestly you really don't have the right to be upset about how they are choosing to bring in money.

@Rhoni Cyr when many of the people need to be drunk or high to perform and are past victims of SA and rape it certainly is. By calling it acceptable and pushing it as "empowerment" disgusting pervy men have been able to convince women to allow themselves to be seen as nothing but sexual meat. There is 0 respect for women at these places. I would also have to look and see if the stats are there but I will put my thesis out there, there is likely a correlation between strip club and pork acceptance and SA and rape cases. As for food, gas, and other basics, she can get a meal plan through the school and when McDonald's pays a starting rate of 15+ in some places for a student, she should be able to live comfortably. She may need to budget better but it can be done.
