This game looks decent, better than I was thinking. In a way I'm glad it's does not force too much emphasis on tower defense strategy because I'm not really into RTSs as much as I am into action games. And surprisingly I LOVE Zombie Driver HD, so that makes me think I'd maybe enjoy X-morph too. I wish you had covered what weapons you get on your ship, (unless it's just bullets and the 1 lazer) but otherwise great review. :D
A second part of this game, with more ships and more powers as well more towers, and more weapons, ground drones and some having an extra ship that follows along as a power up. Etc etc etc
My favorite videogame alien? Well, I would say that position goes to Cryptosporidium-137 from Destroy All Humans. He's an alien bent on human extinction, but I think it's fair to say that he has a lot of personality behind that grumpy face.
That's an excellent point! I was under the impression that Destroy All Humans got a Steam re-release, but I see that I was wrong. It just came out on something, right? Maybe a PS4 port?
I don't know about the PS4 port (I dropped console gaming altogether since SONY abandoned backward compatibility), but I think the reason that the franchise hasn't gotten Steam release maybe because of legal issues. Now that Nordic has acquired THQ and brought back old games, I hope that we get to see DAH on Steam soon.
Seeing this got me excited...until you said tower defense. I was picturing this would be mostly shoot'em up with some defensive levels mixed in, but for it to be every level, I think I'm not interested... :(

Is anyone here familiar with the terms 'Couch Co-op', 'Local Multiplayer', 'Split Screen Support' and all that good stuff? 😌📝
Yup, currently trying to find a good game that has local multiplayer for ps4... It's disappointingly hard.
Just played the FREEE demo...Stunning! Reminds me of the old game Herzog Zwei on Sega Genesis...but with 100x better graphics!

game seems good, gonna put it on wishlist. Alien? The dude from that Alien Storm game that is a boss rush from start to finish.
The alien from Wario Ware is awesome
This really reminds me of Project Root.
Awesome game I'm loving it!!
.. reminds me of renegade ops. except, you know, flying :o)
Talk about watching the world burns, I wonder why nobody brings Destroy All Humans franchise to Steam.
