- Here's our X-Morph Nintendo Switch review. With ever more upcoming Nintendo Switch games, it's nice to see a strategy game on Switch. Especially an RTS.
Written by Justin 'Chickenperm'. Mechs, fighter controls and a world to conquer as the alien horde. What more could you want?? Does it live up to that potential?

I love RTS games and would love to see Command and Conquer get a remaster that comes to the Nintendo Switch. Any RTS fans among you, what game would you like to see on Switch? SwitchUp Starcraft and C&C for me, would love to see them hit a console again.
C and C Is in the works but we don't know what consoles yet
What about the new Settlers game that is being developed by BlueByte with Ubisoft? It looks like a return to the old style of the first 4 games but built using Snowdrop. It's looking great already and I hope they take a leaf out of Civ6's book and make a Switch port! Settlers on the go would be amazing

It looks great doesn't it. I loved the first 4 settlers games, but hated 5 and couldn't get into 6 or 7

Another boss was planned for Egypt.
A kind of scorpion-looking machine that could dig through the earth. You can see this boss on the official pictures of X-Morph Defense, there are also pictures of the map with the places where the scorpion comes out or digs in again, and the in-game model of the boss.
Unfortunately they could no longer program it into the game due to time constraints,
But they still want to use the boss in the future (maybe Riftbreaker or in X-Morph Defense 2?)

I thought that I would leave a comment here since the Complete Bundle is on sale for $18 USD on the eShop (Summer 2019 Sale). Thank you for the review and I’m purchasing the game after watching all of the trailers on the Shop (the videos for the main game and bundled DLCs).
One thing I liked about this game was the fact that it was actually possible to play it more like a traditional tower defence but with the added option of being able to change the enemies path
If you're watching this in May 2020, the complete edition is on sale for $7.49 US.

I'm one of the few people that own and really enjoy the wierdly good port of the original StarCraft on N64. That would be great to have on the switch.

I absolutely loved star craft 64 one of my favorite games on the 64 it was a well done port of the game and played better then most rts that even came out later on a controller
An Epic Game and Epic N64 Port. I see I'm not the only one who wishes to play StarCraft on the Switch. We could only wish... I also love Battlezone: Rise Of The Black Dogs on the N64, an underrated gem for me.
I am a huge rts fan warhammer dawn of war or age of empires love those games the destruction in this game looks pretty good to me I was noticing enemy ships falling down and blowing up little house plus the way the bigger buildings collapse into chunky blocks is just somehow super satisfying to me. If this game runs decent in handheld mode I can easily see this as a buy it's somethings unique with a cool amount of action and strategy mixed. Nice review guys keep up the great work!!

Age of Empires is awesome. Can't see it ever coming over though as it's Microsoft although I will probably get the 4th one when it comes out, will have to dust off the PC for that though
Dawn of War 1 with all the DLC and multitude of Mods was amazing. Didn't enjoy 2 as much and never bought 3. The first one though was intense and a huge step forward for RTS games in my opinion, shame 2 brought the scale down as it looked lovely

I figured hey 4 games in one not bad at all...
Is this worth getting now, as its always dropped to around £5.50(I think) for the complete collection, I don't normally play tower style defense games, but after watching your review, it's peeked my interest. Its been on my wishlist since January last year, but never bothered to pick it up.
Complete edition on sale for the next 17 days for $5.99 and standard edition for $3.99.
I haven’t played this yet, but I feel like the game would be slightly cooler if the x-fighter would transform into a mech so you can destroy on foot(or air as well being a mech).

Like the Transformers game that was based on the first Transformers movie that lets you pick which side you wanna play as Decepticon or Autobots and thanks to that your able to see things from both perspectives.

Excellent team effort to get this one up Mark, Jace and CP. Would love to see some good old school rts' show up on the Switch. I wouldn't mind seeing Blizzard go after some good press and get Starcraft over on our tiny wonder

yeah all the other platform version have a couch co-op but this Switch one does not even have that, just solo play

Have you guys tried swords and soldiers? I play a moba called awesomenauts on xbox but the same devs made swords and soldiers that's exclusive to switch. It's a great 2d rts :)

See I think the same thing, even though I don't think this is the type of game for me, it *does* look really fun and everything. I don't see how there are so many people nowadays saying 'oh the Switch sucks, no good games, blah blah blah' like Jesus shut up already. If you don't like the games being released play a different system or something, I mean I have a One X and a Ps4 Slim to play on as well, so I'm gucci lol.
Just curious, I know they're not totally similar, but which do you like more? Sky Force 1 & 2 or this ? I really like the Sky Force series...

@@SwitchUpYt Well, played 3.5 hrs last night, game rocks! It's a solid A+ for me! I haven't bought any of the DLC yet but will down the road after I finish all initial play throughs.
Been playing a lot of graceful explosion machine lately...super awesome game...got another idea for a video called...The games that time forgot...basically for new switch owners who may not know about some early classics on switch...graceful explosion machine would be on there as well as snake pass,blaster master zero,Thumper and retro city rampage etc...😎👍

Okay, what controller are you using??? X button could be in any of 3 places. Your channel is called Switch Up, so I would assume you're using a switch controller, but you use the term "left bumper", which is an x box controller, on ps4 its L1, and on Switch its simply L.
Tower defense games aren't really for me. That being said, the shooter aspect does make the game seem a bit more appealing though. Like I have multiple options to tackle threats instead of just relying solely on the towers themselves.

Yeah tried the Switch beta just for the fun of it but damn that’s not looking good next to mine choice of platform (pc) for that game. But have to say the gameplay and handeling survived even on handheld mode.

I’ve never played a tower defense game but I love my shoot em ups and I’ve been watching this one with great interest. My only issue was how much would having to worry about building towers and stuff interrupt my shmup? Lol You pretty much know my style Mark, what do you think? @@SwitchUpYt I'm playing through them again at the moment. Maybe EA will Remaster them for Switch at some point. With all the dlc, because that stuff is far more expensive than the actual games now. Keep up the good work.

Played it. Not for me. I prefer the old lazy simplier TD games where the player can only construct towers and nothing more.

I like the look of this one but that day 1 DLC is rather annoying. There seems to have been a good while without a decent tower defense game and now they seem to be coming back, which is great, but which one to go for. It was absolutely going to be this one until I saw that DLC! I think I'll wait for another sale. Great review though

It's a great little game. I'm really enjoying it. Kinda wish I'd bought the physical version but I do find I play the downloaded games more as I have to swap the cartridge!
I've just played my very first game of Smite..... God's I suck at that! I'm ok at Paladins and Arena of Valor so thought I may be ok at Smite but it's not the case. I'll give it another few goes as I can't get any worse!
The game originally came for the PC.
The DLCs appeared later.
Since they have ported the game for the switch, there is no reason not to port the DLCs as well.
And why should Exor give up the money for the DLCs?
Especially considering that the game costs 20 €, instead of 60-70 €.
If the game is fun, the DLCs can catch up later.
After all, these were also no free bonus for PC players.
