    I love how nearly every level in which you lose FLUDD is ranked as "INSANE" which is pretty accurate to how some of them felt in my childhood.

    • @4203105
      @4203105 Рік тому +50

      To be fair, the controls in Sunshine aren't very tight and you have to compensate a lot with flood because of it. All other Mario games, including 64, have way better controls. Always amazes me how well speedrunners move in Sunshine.

      @@MOORE4U2 I don't think nerfed is the right word here. That would be right if Mario couldn't jump as far or high or was missing moves. But that's not the case. The problem is that he doesn't react to your inputs as snappy as he does in other games. The controls don't feel tight, more floaty. You can probably compensate for that by doing your inputs way in advance, but it's not fun gameplay.

    So even the villagers on the airstrip believe Mario is the one who caused all the damage with the paint, and still trust him to clean it up by telling him to take the one magical pump that can save the island.

    Playing games with outdated or terrible guides is always a fun time. Mostly because hindsight is a bitch and a half.

    In Corona Mountain, the last boat is a bit easier to use if you think about it and use it like you are paddling a real boat. That's how I played it recently, and it was a bit easier. It's not intuitive for the game

    As a kid we had that guide book but then my brother's friend's younger sister ripped it apart. I mean she was like 3 years old at the time, but it was annoying. Nowadays it doesn't matter tho lol

    I like that the guide made sure to tell you to use every movement tech at least once. Genuinely not a bad introduction to how to Mario, assuming you get through the whole thing.
