Linkus randomizers in a nutshell. Linkus: *6 hours without getting any major items that progress story* Chat: *Laughing* Linkus: *Gets one progression item* Chat: "BABY SEED!!!"
Something I'm surprised streamers miss all the time, is the house in town, bottom left corner, with no door. If you can get one bomb, blow a hole in that little hut and its like a little refill station (bombs, arrows, green rupes, and mice that drop better rupes).
@@fourthknower9831 I think so. Since bombs are just random world drops. I typically find my first bomb from cutting bushes. They're somewhat uncommon to find that way, but you'll find one eventually.
I watched someone do a weird randomizer once where they linked "A Link to the Past" and a Metroid game, one of the classic ones, and the items were randomized BETWEEN worlds. You could find Metroid items in the Zelda game, and vise verse. The goal was to beat both games. It got downright frustrating at times, but man was it cool.
My soul hurts so much seeing how easy it is for Linkus to hover, despite being generally awful at most of the game. It... is actually infuriating. GG tho
In fairness, hovering is just pressing buttons with specific timings and patterns. No decision making required. In other words, the kind if thing you can get good at in one game and transfer to another.
some context with how you're finding a lot of good items for free: i have some experience with ALttPR and most seed usually have a few good items right off the bat because there isn't a whole lot to do without any of those
he was on the "second floor" of that room the enemy pushed him up the wall and out of bounds the empty room he was in idk what it was for but there's lots of them in lttps dungeon map when I mean dungeon map its a separate map on the games cartrage that tells link what part of the temple he supposed to be in and the doors in the temple act as a teleporter to those other maps
When you ask who is Andy it makes me giggle a bit. He is most well known ALTTPR runner with many accomplishments. His yt is called. Andy lasho. He’s a cool dude too. But loved seeing you do a run of my favorite Zelda game
25:24 Link to Where it started in the Twitch Past Broadcast: www.twitch.tv/videos/1504481300?t=03h31m04s When you died and getting revived by the fairy, you were walking towards the left, with the screen still being able to scroll, triggering a glitch called "Camera Unlock". What essentially happens is that your camera gets behind by 1pixel compared to your movement, so when you afterwards go perfectly (without having to go right) up through the door, the camera is to far right to get locked in the small room. Going in the direction of an unlocked camera through Transitions breaks the game. It usually isn't to bad, though unless you know exactly what you are doing, it's very much a dead end with only Mirror, Bombs (maybe enemies) or a S+Q to get out.
Ah that makes so much sense, was so confused but if he started the clip before the screen transition it would have been so obvious. You're a champ Also fun fact for those reading this: You can also cause the glitch by drinking a potion in a similar state, which is used by runners go get through Palace of Darkness without a bow (as opposed to other methods to do so like mimic clipping and hovering). Its some sick tech
I can't believe he almost died to Blind despite having the tempered sword. I honestly tackle that dungeon first upon being able to enter the dark world in vanilla. Blind can be tough since he's basically bullet hell the boss, but not that bad if you know what you're doing. That said he isn't wrong. A lot of other Zelda games it isn't the end of the world to not worry much about having a lot of hearts. ALttP makes you regret not having the buffer.
@@brandonwithnell612 I didn't used to, but a couple years ago I realized with the right warp point I can do it even before getting the hammer. At this point I've beaten ALttP enough times that replays where I can kill the bosses faster is nice. Which means getting the tempered sword. Blind can be tough as I mentioned before, but the second shield alone makes it a bit less scary. Until you have to dodge the laser. Probably good to have a fairy too just in case. Though that's my attitude for the Dark World entirely. The enemies can drain your health fast if you aren't careful.
You dare insult the Bluemerang, most powerful item and leveler of cities? This is the boomerang that will finally break the cycle of reincarnation and save all of Hyrule
Yeah, Ice is usually the dungeon I'm not happy to do, mainly because I can't hover and bomb jumps are usually tedious to do. TR really does feel easier, to me.

A someone who does this rando for fun... Wow Linkus does not actually know some of the info, tricks, and tech I do in a Zelda game. That feels like a first.

ive always struggled with this randomizer because im not very familiar with the game but im doing an a link between worlds randomizer rn and its a ton of fun
My favourite rando, done well over 100 runs and still enjoy every run. 2nd favorite Zelda game too! Dunno if anyone in chat told you, in in the bottom left corner in Kakariko village is a bombable shed that always gives you bombs.
It's so funny how this speed runner can do and knows things I'd never know and do, and at the same time struggles with apparently all the normal content 😂
He doesn't even know you can replenish bombs in kakariko village in the hidden bomb hut on bottom.. AND HE DIDN'T JUST HOOK TO POT ACROSS THE PIT? HE HOVERED?
I think I know what happened at 25:25 with the whole screen being off and skipping rooms and walk through walls thing. This game is famously easy to mess up how the screen works/confuse the game so where it thinks you're somewhere you're not. It could be a couple different things but I know there's a glitch in skull woods dungeon with the bouncy things and wall master that does an almost identical effect, and you probably did something similar with positioning because it's really easy to do by accident. That's just for the screen being off, (and the room skipping also happens from the aforementioned glitch btw) but the whole going through walls/the rooms having messed up collision can happen from the same glitch (where the game thinks you're in a different room and applies that collision), but to me it looked like the out of bounds method they use to beat the game in 5 min. I often like to use this glitch to mess around for hours seeing what I can find, and it usually ends up with me getting stuck in one of those long rooms. Idk why they're there.
a couple of amusing tricks i figured out in the original SNES version... the Hammer can break pots. that can save some time in some places. 9:13 that annoying red enemy? in case you didn't know, those will turn into FAIRIES if you throw Magic Dust on them! that might also work on those things that turn you into a rabbit.
If you showcase a randomizer, it would be cool if you also state how many things you can randomize. Not in full detail but its definitly interesting how many things you can randomize and there is good trackers or map trackers for beginners. I honestly love randomizers but without a good tracker i never would play them. Since as a casual i dont know all item locations and when i can access them. Thats for me the reason not playing Oot , Majora, Wind Waker or Skyward sword. Never really saw one using a map tracker
Just as a really late update on that, "Out of Bounds" was found a LONG time ago. The current any% world record allowing that glitch is 1 minute and 36.73 seconds long and was set back in april 2015.
You can kill Ganon without Silver Arrows by damaging him during his teleportation process in the Final Phase by hitting him with the Sword just in time somewhen after him spitting fire at you and right before he starts teleporting away it can be done easily by doing a spin attack because then the chances to miss him is quiet low It needs around 12 Hits with Tempered Master Sword and Golden Master Sword (that might be because the Golden Sword's Spin Attack has a Damage Value as high as a Regular Attack with it, which means it wouldn't matter which sword you use) and 24 hits with the regular Master Sword
0:00 Ok so what we’re gonna be doing is today we’re gonna be doing a ALTTP rando. The objective is quite simple: gather all 7 crystals to go to the castle (ganon’s tower) and beat the game.

you should try archipelago it's a multiworld randomiser which includes A link to the past, but also ocarina of Time, and a whole slew of other non zelda games and more are constantly being added
You should try the entrance randomizer. That one is a lot of fun, and it makes you have to be creative in how you approach searching for things. Just don't turn on the option that decouples the entrances from each other (meaning don't turn on the one where you can go into a place and come back out at a different place), because that's a bit too much chaos.
I've played LTTP a million times, so obviously I'm biased, but I really don't think its a hard game. If I play (and not doing a 100% run) I'll play shield'less, green tunic, and no heart pieces to make it a challenge. Whats REALLY hard... is the bonus dungeon in LTTP GBA Four Swords. I tried a challenge run for that dungeon like the above, and legit couldn't finish it.
@@ImVeryBrad damn that would do it lol I has a hand me down snes, with LTTP, and for the longest time all I did was open a finished game and screw around. When I actually sat down and played it for real I was like woooowww 🤩 (and my first run was HELLA bad lol, like over 100 deaths/quits)
I'm always surprised when people elect to take down Trinexx' fire-head before the ice-head. The fire fades after a few seconds, the ice doesn't disappear at all, it's so much easier to start with the ice-head
Something I noticed at the end of the video is he got the ether medallion magically right before turtle Rock but it shows on his tracker that he has it but when he opens his inventory he appears not to have it. I know for a fact that the ether medallion is needed to beat the game
