The memories Foster brought to Houston were unforgettable. I'll never forget that era for the Texans. Foster, Andre Johnson, Schaub, Watt. Such a good team
One of the most underrated running backs in the last fifteen years. His runs were at times so silky smooth that he looked like he was doing so effortlessly. That stiff was not a joke.
One of the smoothest runners in league history. He ran upright but that cutback and open-field moves for a big guy were just filthy. As a Ravens fan, he terrified me even though there were only a few matchups against him in his prime.
@@whatsyourpointfacts7082 Foster was better at his peak but Bell wasn’t a scrub. He had three monster seasons between ‘14 and ‘17 and would have likely had a fourth were it not for injury. As great Foster was, he only had 4 big campaigns himself.
What a class act Arian Foster is. His little bow of respect in the end zone is a breath of fresh air in modern day sports. Not only was he a great running back, but also a remarkable human being.. A million best wishes. Arian..
This man was an absolute pleasure to watch. He looked like he was barely running which is the mark of a speedster. And then if he got caught he would throw a defender aside with his strength. He truly was a thoroughbred. Texans fans I hope you enjoyed watching him and respect him as much as I did and do. He is amazing.
He was so graceful in his cutbacks and patience and vision. His strides were almost Earl Campbell like. He was fun to watch,he’s def at the top of the list of best of Texans rb’s
He made it look easy. Thats what amazed me about his running style. He looked so smooth like he wasnt trying hard but he would run over and past guys like nothing.
Chargers fan here. LT was so good, Sproles got held back, IMO. If he shared a backfield with anyone else for the first half of his career, that man would be in the hall of fame.
i became a texans fan in 2010, right when we started becoming a playoff contender. i will never forget the memories that he’s made for this team. he will always be my favorite texan of all time.
He was so special, such a smooth smart runner. He knew how to find the gaps, and him being an upright runner with such smoothness. There weren't many like him in NFL history.

Kubiak sure spammed that Outside Zone run play; but jeez its like a clinic in these highlights, every block, and Arian Foster's reads are just, textbook hard as f to stop. No wonder he, Shanahan, and son, Mcvey crafted whole offenses off that one play.
It’s such a cool sacrifice he made letting his career get ruined by 2015 by the NFL scriptwriters, not many would make such a brave sacrifice for the sake of storytelling
I miss the “old” school days where a team could be a threat with a dominant duo of wr and rb. Charles and bowe and Johnson and Foster were my two favorite.
Damn this was my childhood growing up, watching Sunday football with my dad. Foster came up out of no where and truly became one is the Texans best running backs if not the best.
That stiff arm down the sideline for a TD in the 2011 wild card game is one of my favorite all time Texans memories. I will remember watching that live for the remainder of my days. 2nd favorite Texan of all time, Mr. Smooth. Close 2nd to JJ
Arian Foster was a problem during that stretch definitely a top 5 running back in the league at that time. Also he was really good on screens and pads plays catching out the backfield in general and his one cut break away when finding the hole.
2011 was the best Texans team in their history for sure. Their O-line was ridiculous, 2 of the best playmakers in Foster and Andre Johnson on offense, and their defense was by far the best it’s ever been with guys like Watt, prime juiced up Cushing, prime Demico Ryans, prime Johnathan Joseph, AJ Bouye, and they were just deep on the depth chart that year. If Shaub didn’t get hurt that year, they could’ve at the very least beat the Ravens and went to the AFC Championship game. 2012 was statistically our best team, but their o-line and defense just wasn’t the same as 2011. That was the year Watt broke out and became one of the best defensive players in history. Man I hope coach D Ryans can come in and bring that shit back.
Does your old school fanship in the city still rock Oiler jerseys from time to time? Or just all Texans? Outta curiosity. Like you go to some Ravens games and we will see some Baltimore Colts jerseys with Jonny Unitas. Wondering if yall link the two as well.
My favorite Texans era with great tailback full back tight end and receivers. Foster would always dive for extra yards every time. Foster ran behind a good o line and pro bowler fullback. Pierce has a little of foster in him
Arian Foster is one of my heroes. An open atheist doing what he did, with so many people who said god was the reason they could do what they did, was an inspiration.
The best at the one cut and go. He had an amazing o- line, and Vonte was an absolute unit. Wish they'd had one more offensive piece, or even defensive maybe to compete with the patriots or colts. The NFL script had those 2 teams set up for awhile.

Long time Texans fan here. Some key notes to Foster's success, during his time, he had the best Texans frontline ever, blocking and making holes for him.
