In this video I show you the mileage gauge on a Fiat 500e, after a full charge my battery gauge says 100% but my miles will be different either high 80's, or low to mid 90's but every once in while I see 105.

I have been driving one of these cars for over a year now, in a 35 mile daily commute. I have checked with the GPS and found that any numeric value displayed in the instrument cluster is calculated. From what, I do not know.
The odometer and trip meters do no synchronize. Set the trip meter to 000 when the odometer says xx0 and you will see 009 and xx7 one time, and 008 and xx9 another. On a flat highway, set the cruise control "Crusie control" if you pay attention, to a constant speed, and your energy consumption will vary up to 20% during each minute. 16 kWh, 14 kWh, 17 kWh, 13 kWh, 15 kWh .... do the same thing on a hilly road, and your speed will indicate a constant value, yet you will feel yourself accelerating and deaccelerating.
The calculations are affected by temperature. It makes sense that in cold weather, you will get less range, all electrics have this situation, but the 500e indicates reduced efficiency when the weather is cold. Example. commute is on average 4.2 miles per kWh when temperatures are 75 to 90 degrees. No heater, no A/C being used. But when the weather get colder, 50 to 75 degress, the same commute is on average 3.7 miles per kWh. Yet I have not turned on the heater or anything like that. I believe the miles per kWh is being calculated from the energy change in the battery, not the energy taken from the battery or energy used by the motor. That is, a colder battery holds less energy. If a warm battery holds 100% energy, and a cold battery holds 90% energy, then the calculated efficiency is 10% less. 3.7/4.2=88% No, it should not be that way, the math is wrong. But this is the problem with this car, the math is wrong.
Because the math is wrong, the odometer and other gauges can occasionally get out of whack. The solution is to remove the positive cable from the 12V battery. Let the car discharge over 10 minutes, and then hook the cable back up and snug it good. This will reset the trip meters, range meters, Bluetooth and such, but I only have to do it when the B trip meter hits 1000 miles, when it goes cattywampus by itself.
Other than that, the car is fantastic and I am very happy I bought one used. Its a shit load of fun to drive and chirp the tires. It can easily get out of its own way, and because it is silent, cops are less likely to notice you hauling ass. Its also fun to smoke unsuspecting ricers, if only off the light.
Side note, this car has a very sophisticated battery thermal management system, it can turn on the air conditioner to cool the battery or turn on a heater for the battery. You have no control over this and you can barely hear it happening. Nevertheless, these power drains affect the crazy math and the range meters.

Car kalkulate last 10km ore so before you start charging. Drive alot downhill ore slow before you charge you will get great numbers. Drive alot uphill ore drive like an idiot before charging the numbers will be bad! Thats all to that. I have an 2015 Nissan Leaf that do the same! also have a e65 2002 735i:)

Just got my 500e a week ago, first charge 87 mile range, second charge 92 mile range, third charge 98 mile range, fourth charge 104, just looked today.. still charging (98%) .. range? 108 miles! at first i was elated, then i was freaked out thinking something was seriously wrong. glad to have seen this video. i think in all honesty i am getting +/- 85 - 90 miles

I've had my 2013 for less than a month and mines up to 113 with full charge. I'm retired so I make 3-4 short (6-10miles)/day and plug it into the 120v charger on every return to the garage. I'm not sure this is a good idea but there is nothing in the manual about how to handle this.

It based it off your previous driving cycle of kWh usage. If you change your mode from mgpe to kWh/mi it is basically spot on. It will vary like you said. But in order to get 105 miles you would have to avg around 4.8 kWh/mi usage (24 kWh battery and about 22 kWh is all that is useable.)

      How do we change mode?

It might be the voltage regulator or the amperage regulator that's send the mileage to the dashboard might be off calibration

i usually just use the trip counter and try to average about 4miles per kwh

Just go by battery percentage. A lot of people freak out over the estimator, if you turn on heat it gives you a huge drop based on instantaneous power consumption, usually levels off after that.
I think the people that say they can get over a hundred miles are going by the estimator not facts. I will almost never hit the estimate because I almost always drive freeway.
