I am in love with my 2013 500e!
No, I love my 2015 500e in 2021, for 3yr 67K miles.
We love this car. We have one and it has barely impacted our electric bill. Electric is the road to the future!
Hi. One question: how can I set the Italian language on my 500e? Thank you
Actually it does not come originally from Europe, it's made in Mexico. So you would not import it "back" anyway. But, beside this minor detail, the reason for not commercializing it here is quite simple: it is a money burner for the company (actually, like any other EV sold in Europe or NA). It is justified only in case of very strict rules on emissions and EVs (read "California") or in case you want to make some brand maquillage (read "Leaf", "iOn", "C-zero", etc.)
FCA/Stelantis corporate, Italian design, Bosch German electric drive, South Korean Samsung batteries, built in Toluca Mexico.
Shame Fiat CEO publicly stated he hopes nobody buys a 500e. Electric is the future in cars, and him being at the wheel of Fiat with that attitude is short sighted and not in the companys best interest.
He said that statement because the 500e was to expensive to build since it`s basically for the California state, have a nice day ;)
really weird how this car goes ignored for only $10,000 in dealerships ? people are just pussy to buy new thing or pretty dumb ? any way i am buying 2 more for spare parts in the next 5 years
It's terrible - helped me pick up one for $8K w/ 18,500 miles!
Ouch that rear wheel gap!
I want to make a fender skirt to fill that in, a lot of people lower them, but it already scrapes in the front and I don't want the batteries to get slammed.
im kinda limited by that small picture but you kinda look like 50 cent
"underpowered and highly unstable on the freeway?" Why do you say that?
Misleading at best. I drive mine on the freeway 5 days a week. The best accelerations off the line, but it still has instant response on the freeway. Sometimes it feels like you're driving on ice but it really is stable, especially in rain. Low center of gravity.
No DC fast charging
I think we need to drill for and use are on oil in the USA.
nobody know how much to import it back tp italy? that son of a bitch of marchionne doesn't give you these good stuff
The school system failed you. Sue them for millions.
Plus, you have to consider batteries. Both their production and their disposal have a strong environmental impact. If you consider the total lifecycle the impact of an EV is very close to the one of a petrol or diesel car. At least this is the corrent situation. Of course I'm not saying that EVs won't be a future solution, but the ones that are declaring that EVs are a present solution are just trying to fool us
Compared to a bicycle. Gas bullets during production and consumption. Used EV batteries have a second life as home backup, etc.
How really "green" are these plug ins when our power is generated by fossil-fuel plants for the most part. We don't think nuclear is cool anymore, so we look to windpower and solar? This nation's got to come to it's collective senses on logical, clean and efficient forms of energy soon, or plugins, or any other electronic device will be too expensive to operate.
These cars were an improvement already, much greener than gas. There's a disinformation campaign. The batteries are reusable in a second life backing up house electric power.
this car always looks so much like a toy... and underpowered and highly unstable on the freeway.
Wrong
it looks like a clown car
that's why I like it:)
I hate boring cars
