That hesitation is likely just a accelerator pump. Theres a idle adjustment solenoid, like a IAC in a EFI car that bumps the throttle up with the A/C on. Check that out. These later slants are really quiet because they went to hydraulic lifters. The early ones were solid lifters. I just bought a 85 D150, /6 and 833 OD. Not quite this nice but in good shape. I’ll drive it as is with a new radiator for a while. A 5.2 magnum and NV3500 are going in later. Getting lowered.
It looks like these older Dodge pickups only had 5 place holders in the odometer, so going over 99,999 miles reset the odometer to 0. I've seen a lot of ads for the 1984 and 1985 Dodge pickup claiming to have less than 100,000 miles.
Yeah our 1989 Cummins is like that(rolled over 2 times). I think this truck probably is actually 32K just because of the condition though. If its 132K they kept it in damn good shape.
Man what a piece of Nostalgia. My Dad had this exact same truck when I was a kid. I learned to drive stick on this when I was 12. Good old slant 6.
My entire childhood memories are in a truck just like this that I still own 83 d150 slant six 4 speed in the floor
Badass Dodge. Not too many of those in good condition here In Southern California.

wow! I need it!
I recently got passed down a 77 d150 with a flat 30k original miles, Kansas weather has been a little harder on the original paint tho
Is that truck still available??
Has a “225 [slant-6]… bulletproof engine.” Just don’t on the A/C because it dies, but the CB works great! 🤣
beauty
