Dodge D100 Full Transformation in Minutes!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 лют 2025
- This project, titled the "Blue Meanie" is a 1987 Dodge D100 that I painted back in 2020. Many new Viewers aren't familiar with it, so I wanted to show some of the highlights of the build, and the videos that go along with it.
Hope you enjoy!

Ok. So this one only took 13 and 1/2 minutes, so I'll expect you to have the Green Goblin up and running in no more than 15! Lol. Great stuff as always Joe!
Haha! Might need 20 with yours 😂
I remember this truck! It turned out very nice!
Thanks, Tim! It’s been 2 and a half years! Crazy how the time flies
What I really like is how much you get done. Your drive to make stuff happen reminds me of being 30 years younger.
Thanks brother! This one was done in 3-4 weeks in a row, back in 2020.
For a 87 year model and I was a young man like you back then that is as solid 🪨 of a great truck as you can get. Hopefully it is a 360 manual transmission scooter!
Great job Joe!!!
Thanks brother! I will get another truck in someday to give the works
Good Lookin Truck
Thanks brother
From farmtruck to the coolest of cruisers! She's a beaut!!
Thanks, Terry! This was back in 2020. Got it all done in about 6-8 weeks. Lots of little things. Much better now!
Great video Joe. Just what I want for my shop truck daily driver
Awesome! The prep always takes the longest
@JustMoparJoe Joe it's like building a house. If the foundation is good she will last the test of time. Take your time and do it right. Ya got to go slow to go fast
💪🏼
You came in too late. Gotta start back over 😂
@@JustMoparJoe
A+
I love that color!!
Sweet truck.
Thanks brother
Gives me good idears for our 85 dodge shortbox pickup.
Awesome!
Beautiful job Joe.
That's a nice pick up. 👍
Thanks, Ed. I’ve been needing to do a quicker video for this project. I actually left quite a bit out because I didn’t know how to shorten it anymore 😅
Damn man!! You really ARE a Joe of all trades...that looks mint mate...the Raptor looks really good too, real neat job...its your attention to detail that will keep them coming back Sir
Thanks buddy!
Truck turned out great Joe! I like that generation of Dodge trucks. Daily drove one for years.
That’s Awesome! I drove my high school truck from 15-21. I finally parked it when I needed to hit the interstate every weekend.
Beautiful truck Nice job Love the rear bumper 😊
Thanks brother, I’m really happy with how it turned out!
😎
Looks very nice
I’ve had over 20 people ask me about that steering wheel!
Another beautiful job well done Joe , she’s gorgeous

Absolutely! Love your truck, buddy!
That came out real nice Joe 👍👍
Thanks brother! It needs a big block
Throw a rubber bed Matt in the back. That will help keep the dents out and preserve the inner floor. Love u Joe your a real Mopar man👍🏻😎🇺🇸🏁🙏🏻
Thanks brother. The new owner does daily drive it and really enjoys it
Hey that HFT gun in Joe's hand is like a magic wand! 😂😂😂
She worked out alright! Thanks John
Looking awesome as always JMJ , I hope you have a great evening and stay warm, it's single digits here in Farm Belt country Pennsylvania. 4°
Thanks, you too! We are at a chilly 7 degrees here with snow staying around for a few days.
You done good.
Thanks brother! I’ve been needing to make a short video of all the stuff from that one.
Great job, Joe ! Nicely done!
Thanks brother! Good to see you
👍Lord that truck is nice! Great job! 👍🇺🇸
I appreciate it! I did this back in 2020. Hopefully my editing and filming has progressed
Beautiful. Crossing my fingers that mine comes out that slick. About the same color too is what I've had in mind for years now, since i painted my engine block in 2020
Awesome! You’ve got it going on brother
That turned out beautiful
Thanks brother! I think I had it totally painted from start to finish in 14 work days. Cool truck! Cream puff 318
Tjat truck is so pretty
Reminds me of dads 82 amd my baby the 83. I bet you were proud to put color on it....looks good
Oh yes. It was an easy one, compared to many rust buckets out there
Sweet ride Joe ! great job 👍
Thanks brother! Snowed in here, and wanted to throw together some old footage to make a quick one.
What a transformation! I love older Dodge Rams, especially standard cabs. That Eastwood Rust Encapsulator is some good stuff. One thing Rams are known for is tailgate rot up here. My truck is a 2005 1500 and the body is very solid. I took my tailgate off, masked it off except for the very bottom inside seam. That's where rust always starts over time. Sprayed a nice clean edge of the Eastwood, left it untouched. You can't see it even with the tailgate open. That was five years ago, still solid. Love that steel blue color. What's it called?
It was a light blue metallic, with the factory code from that year model. I have the Nason code under the basecoat video of spraying this one. Definitely unique.
Amazing Transformation, right before our eyes!👍👍
Thanks brother
@@JustMoparJoe Mopar Forever brotherman 👍👍🏁🏁
That's a very nice little D100 great job Joe....thanks.
Thanks 👍
Awesome transformation! Looks great! 👍
Thanks, Mitch!!
Great truck, love that bodystyle!
Thanks for the support!
Nice job Joe.
Thanks 👍
Needs a 408 stroker
For sure. But it’s an actual daily driver now with the 318
I hope you had a wonderful Holiday Season and New Year. Glad to see you back in the saddle JMJ!😉
Thank you! You too!
Now that is a beautiful truck! Good job. The owner now has a truck that's better than new.
Thanks, Buddy!
I wish I could paint as good as you Joe you always do a damn good job one day you're going to have to do my car.....
Thanks, Danny
Looks Awesome Joe
Thanks, Mike!
I just might ship my car to you to paint it! Good job!
Very nice job brother! 👏👏👏
Thank you! 👍
Just like on TV. Full resto in 13 minutes! Looks really nice.
Thanks brother
Looks good! Nice work!
Thank you! Cheers!
Watched the video while trying to get the window to go up and down when it's cold, on my dad's old Toyota. You painted that whole truck, and I ain't done yet. 😂
Looks good Joe!
Haha! This was back in 2020. I had that one done in about 8 weeks
Wow another successful old Mopar restoration 😊
Thanks, Shane!
Awesome work!!
Thank you! Cheers!
great job very nice truck I really like the paint color
Absolutely! It was said to be the factory code for that truck.
I watched the whole series when you did it, this little refresher was nice to see
Thanks, Greg. I was having trouble fitting it all in to one video
My old jealousy bone is itching. What a great looking truck. Cant wait to see it painted.
It was a good start. I painted this one and did miscellaneous other work to it back in summer of 2020. The playlist is called “blue Meanie”
Cleaner than the board of health. Well done.
Thank you! I’ve got the barracuda ready to spray
@ I’ll keep my eye on out for the video. I been chipping away at my 66 Fury for a few years now. Lower control arm bushings, new sway bar, power steering pump, and steering box will all be done by the end of January.
@ that’s excellent. It’s hard to beat then when they drive nice and handle better than most would expect
You made it look really nice . I enjoyed the music . You had a good variety tonight .
Thanks, Terry!
Great looking truck. Nice work. Most of them are all rusted out here in the north east.
Thanks 👍
Just pick one up about to start on it
Great shade of blue. Nice truck!
Thanks 👍
Sweet. Awesome work.
Thanks brother
Its looking great, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones
Thanks brother
😎👍
Beautiful 😍😍
Thanks, Coleen!
Nice job. inspires me to get to work on my '86.
You can do it!
That looks great!!! Sitting really nice too! Nice job.
Thanks brother
Jamie sent me. Nice job on the D150
Thanks brother! It’s a cool little project
The old pickup turned out pretty Sharp 👍 👍 👍 👍
Thanks brother!
Sweet little truck!
Absolutely! It’s a cool one
Nice work!!
Thank you! Cheers!
That looks really nice
Thanks Steve!
That is one nice lookin truck!
Thanks brother. I have more trucks coming soon!
Just found your video and man does that look great, nice job 👍🏼
I have an 89 Ramcharger with the 2-tone blue paint that needs that exact treatment… 75k original Texas truck and such nice condition it’s crazy. Unfortunately it’s going on eBay I guess… I’m heading towards my 3rd back surgery and just can’t give it the love I wanted in my position.I would put it very close to your D100 in condition.. anyway, great job
I hope your surgery goes well. Please check out my ramcharger revival playlist
Great lookin truck. Wish my 1982 was blue instead of yellow.
Awesome. I just found this channel. I have a 1990 D-150
Very cool! I have a playlist on a similar truck called Juan Carlos. Also a playlist on an 87 called “Red Sled”. And my most recent is the “ramcharger revival”
@@JustMoparJoe yes sir I seen Juan Carlos, and the Ram Charger Revival. I’ll check out the red sled today.
I think my 1990 may have a cracked head or head gasket leak. At idle it looks like steam coming from the DS exhaust
@@gwgdog66 oh man, I do hear that those heads are prone to cracking. Many say it’s not close to a jacket . I’m not sure
I need to find a good Mopar mechanic in the OKC area.
Well that's how you do it.....just GIT 'R DUN! 👍
Thanks brother
Very nice. 👍👍👍
Thanks Jaybo! Happy Birthday 🎊
Sweet I got a 85 dodge d150 I plan on making videos on I just posted a short about the wiring trouble I’m having 😂
You're have inspired me to start doing something with my 87 long bed 😎
That’s awesome! Get it done! Check out my red sled videos!
She turned out real nice, proud to drive it anywhere . What you growing in that field back there?
Haha! Thanks brother. I can’t remember what was back there. Probably corn in August of 2020
Nice truck!
Thanks 👍
You know I think I've seen this truck around Searcy. I told Matthew, I said that's a cool truck.
That’s the one! He’s repainted some spots on it, I think after another door repair. But I was able to give him the same paint left over 😂
@@JustMoparJoe that's awesome it's a nice looking ride for sure
Nice! I'd drive it!
You and me both!
Very nice bud
Thanks 👍
Looks like you did a real nice job of that if you come to New Zealand come paint my 1930 Plymouth good job brother hood
Wow man! That’d be a trip from here. Thanks brother
Holy crap someone that can actually paint! Instead of claiming it’s patina.
The slower you go the faster you work 👍🏻🇦🇺
You got that right!
Gorgeous
Thank you!
You certainly have the gift
Thanks, Mike! This one is a few years back, but I never got to put it in to a single video.
Drove an 85 this color in high school. Nice to see what it should have looked like new. Only thing that sucked was the max 10 mpg part.
Thanks for sharing! This one definitely deserves more more 🥊
Looks great! What paint did you use? I have been trying to decide on a dark blue or grey-blue for my '87, something very close to this is what I pictured in my head.
Nason Ful base BC B8364 IF B Std. #339422
@@JustMoparJoe thank you! I hadnt heard of them.
@@S_Kerp Nason is a fairly popular paint. This was their base and clear. I put the code there in case you wanted to get a sample mixed. Many Oreilys and Crow Burlingames mix and sell it.
@@JustMoparJoe sorry I'm an at home novice, i really only heard of paint from Summit, Eastwood and Sherwin Williams! I knew there was more out there?
That's a great find, I'd love to find an older Dodge pup in that kind of condition up here in Michigan 😅 not gonna happen Up here. What color is that?
I can’t remember the exact name for it, but it was the factory color code bought in Nason. I have the code under the base spraying video if you ever want to buy some.
Mopower
Thanks brother
Love it
Thanks brother
Perfect
Thanks brother
Where are you located? I’ve never seen someone be so careful and attention to detail like this?
We have a older dodge we’d love to have everything you did here done.
I am in Central and Eastern Arkansas. This kind of started as my side gig, but is now my main job. Shoot me an email @justmoparjoe@gmail.com
@@JustMoparJoe we’re all the way in NC. We do go to Oklahoma every so often tho. Maybe we could drop it off otw. Lol
@@KaityWebster I’m off I40 😂
Joe got skills
Thanks brother!
That's the way the doors were my great uncle that was in WW2 had a old Ramcharger he bought brand new back in I want to say 74' but I was young and I remember when they closed the doors he would say but some elbow into closing it.
What are those wheel and tire sizes? LOOKS PREMO!!!
I think they were the cragar Nomad chrome, 15x10 rear with 295/50, and 15x7 front with 245/60’s
@@JustMoparJoe Thanks for the info Brother!👍👍🏁🏁
That 1st gen is gorgeous. Is it yours?
Thank you. It belonged to a friend of mine, then he sold it pretty quickly.
@JustMoparJoe why would he do that?
@ I did the job too cheap and he made a buck!
@@JustMoparJoe thats terrible. Sounds like you got taken advantage of
@ it wasn’t bad. At least I got paid to learn a lesson! 😂
