Would this work with the 4000d case?
Scam Alert: did you see the response i had in a comment on this video from a user with your profile pic?
@@sollitdude1 same go amz home page
Was looking to see this bad boy in action 😞
wow, they want 160 bucks for sending me my jayztwocents merchandise prize i won
Really interesting... maybe they'll come out with an add-on kit with all the short cables and 90 degree connectors so people can get everything they need without having to shop around as much.
Unfortunately, the connectors on modular power supplies are not standardized, so you need custom-made ones there anyways.
Exactly. It's like they stopped just short of pure genius! It's still cool, but those additions would make this a MUST HAVE. They could have add-on sets for Seasonic and Corsair.
@@anlumo1 Good point. I suppose they could make ones for the most popular brands/configs, but I doubt they're going to be moving enough volume to make that profitable.
@@anlumo1 they could sell the 24 pin, EPS, and PCIe power cables though
@@Owenzzz777 Even there I've seen differences (mirroring).
7:44 "That is making me want to build in this case now." It's making me want too see you build in this case now as well. And hopefully, you can tell us the exact lengths of custom cables you get.
We really need a full build in this case showing how good it works with a nice breakdown showcasing the build 🔥
Exactly, not sure why the decision was made not to do a full build.
Yeah this video is really unsatisfying. The board looks really cool but without an example of what it looks like in a completed build it is just a random black pcb mounted in a case.
I have a white 5000X waiting to be built in, would love to see a full build with this power board in this case before I commit to more components.
@@Accolyte1 are you telling me none of you nerds have google? Be resourceful and stop complaining
@@adamsmith4953 this response is odd, you mention "nerds" as a knock on me in a J2C comment? I would say there are more "nerds" like me here than anyone else. Also, I looked for a build with this board everywhere, I cannot find one. If you don't like nerds and nerd conversations perhaps you are in the wrong place.
This is one of those products I just don't understand :)
I get that it makes cable management pretty easy, but specifically the 5000D cases have that extra door to hide all the cables.
Now if you had a case with a glass panel I would get it. Especially if the Powerboard had RGB LEDs as well. But on the 5000D you just hide the $300 Powerboard instead of your cables...
It all depends on what your looking to do with your build. Jay didnt do a complete build so you didnt really get to see how it really works or what it looks like when finished.
Ive got a kid that works for me that actually linked me this exact video after he told me that he bought 2 of them for his builds.
Its definitely not a product that most pc builders would feel a need to have. But theres plenty out there. PC building in general is a pretty niches market.
This is my case and I would LOVE to see a build with this in it. I don't _need_ this for myself, but seeing one in action sure would go a long way in persuading me.
wouldnt mind seeing a all out build in the 5000D airflow with the powerboard, its got me thinking of possibilities now.
That thing is awesome! I'd love to see this become a trend or something that case manufacturers start to integrate
I'd be all for this if it came with the front cables.

i hope corsair does this for all of their future cases this is one hell of a awesome thing they did id love to see this in all cases not just one specific series
This is amazing! Hoping to see a complete assembly using this..
love the idea, not exactly cheap though at $300 :( then on top of that the short custom cables, for that sort of money i would expect the cables as well
psus don't have the same cables so this is sadly not possible but i have to agree this is rly expensive.
Yeah, at LEAST the short cables to run from the PSU to the borad for input.
@@swagie_ Yeah, it is perfectly possible. You run your normal PSU cables to the input of the Powerboard, and then what comes out the other side are just essentially straight-through very short extension cables, basically a 1-to-1 in terms of power delivery. As expensive as this thing is, it could, and should, definitely come with some short extension cables.
^^^ hmm wasn’t there a video about this
That's rather pricey and probably as expensive as the case
@JaysTwoCents thank you very much for actually showing us how these power distribution boards mount in the PC cases because Singularity Computers forgot to post photos of this at this moment (they are working on it according to the Q&A comments). I cannot wait to see your video for these things inside the O11 Dynamic to see how it fits, what gets covered and what not. 🙂
I love this and I'd love to try this in a build. I just hope they're working on this for some other cases as well.
The timing of this video couldn't be better as my plans are to buy that exact case for a build in the new year (once I get a graphics card). I now want to invest in one of those power boards as I love how clean this would make the build and how much cable clutter it would eliminate. Thanks for that!
Dude, I wanna see a full build! This is great, so far you are the only one I’ve noticed covering this!
Thank you for your time Jay, fantastic layout in cables and wiring.
I have this case and it's just amazing, so much space routes for cables. Air flow is top notch. Sitting at 25C idle with the Ice Giant prosiphon elite. Just an all round pleasant case to work in
I have this case too and its amazing how easy it was to cable manage.. no way I would spend $300 for an unnecessary board when its already simple to hide cables
Hi Jay, thanks for all the great tips and hacks for us newbies getting into the latest PC builds. I feel I've cheated a bit in the past by buying off the shelf gaming laptops, haven't built a desktop in years, but your videos give really great insight and tips for doing things pro. Great video as always - really appreciate your uploads - hope you and all at the JayzTwoCents team have a great Christmas. All the best, Craig.
These powerboards are for sure a new paradigm in custom builds. Just like the distribution block, braided cables, hardline tubing etc it's a new area and I'm super stoked to try using one in a future build.
Really wanting to see the lian li one, really appreciate you showing these off!
Great idea and looks like a good implementation but far too expensive.
How much is it?
@@edgarvega9545 299USD. Gonna wait for other companies to come out with something similar and hopefully cheaper
FOR THIS POSTMASTER OF THE KNOWLEDGE WITH YOUR LOCATION WITHIN THE ~WORLD.
@@UFR00lz thank you!
$300 WTF this shouldn’t be more expensive than most motherboards what were they thinking
That's pretty cool. I have the O11D (yes, I know, I knowww..) with a Corsair PSU, bought the blue and black cable set from Corsair as well, and the cable runs are WAAAY too long and ended up mashed in the back, tucked under the metal bracket. It would be nice to have something like this with much shorter cables so there's a lot less cable mess.
I have this case and would absolutely love to see jay do a build with the powerboard in it. With custom length cables that's so clean
I think this is a really cool idea for high end prestige and showpiece builds, which I think is exactly the point. I don't think I'd ever buy something like this for myself but I'm super intrigued to see what a top builder like Jay could do with it in a full build.
Oooh nice! Just got this exact case for my new build (still using my trusty 1080 ti for the time being). My cable management is always trash and definitely can see myself integrating this to my build. Thanks Jay!
7:41 (The look) "That is making want to build in this case now" I love it lol. Awesome feed back jayz, just got this case really excited to set it up.
I already have a 90⁰ 24 pin adapter, 180⁰ 8 pin adapter in my GPU, and a flexible USB 3.0 cable. No bulging wire looms and it's super clean. This changes the game even more. Can you imagine running 3" 24 pin cable?! It would be so flawlessly clean.
Please build this 😍
loved the evo case yesterday!
This is sick. I was already looking into this case, this makes it even cooler.
Would love to see a build with this to see how everything connects and what to do with all the fan wires
You're videos have helped me many times, I think when I built my current system too which I will be replacing soon.
I would LOVE to see this being used in a build just to see it practically applied.
That is a really great concept! Thanks for sharing with us Jay n crew! 👍
just got my 5000d airflow case delievered a few hrs ago. stoked. this would be a good add on touch
We really need a build on this case. This would be the ultimate gift this season 🙌
Really love this design. Looks very clean and cable management friendly
I love it! Been looking for something just like this! I'm curious given the layout if this might just work in other older cases like mine that are e-atx compatible? Would be great if down the road they could some how come up with a universal design.
thanks Jay, now i need one :)
Very interesting. I’ll look forward to a build so I can completely understand how this works. Really like my 5000D so curious if I should go this route.
This is pretty sweet. I definitely want to see a build with this.
Thanks for showing that Corsair Powerboard. I have a Lian Li case but it is nice to see how cool the Powerboard is in situ.
I have the 4000d airflow it is SUCH a nice case to work with!
Please make a build with this case including the that part to show us and demonstrate how it will work exactly
Thanks for the usual amazing and beneficial videos
I know it's a ton of work for you guys, but the daily uploads are amazing! Thank you!
Now i wanna see a full build with the custom cables and stuff 😍
Ok! I need to see more of this new tech toy! Please do a build with this component!
Definitely want to see a build in this
Follow up video please with custom cables. I want to see how the build will look in this.
Yes yes yes to seeing a custom all out build in this.
I really like the idea, and I've been looking into getting this case for a new build. Would love to see this fully built using this board. Doesn't come cheap though.
I wish they made one for the 4000
Same
You would really pay over $300? Isn't the 4000 like half of the price of the Board?
@@RngmonsterX4000D airflow is $100
@@RngmonsterX yea man I would. I recently changed from the Define R5 to the 4000 because I needed a smaller case. The 5000 is same size as the Define. Cost doesn't bother me, if it did I wouldn't have a 3090
I would love to see you do a build with one of these power boards! Maybe you could also talk about how to properly measure for the correct custom cable lengths.
Love this Case 😍 it‘s also my current build
That looks great Jay
Dang it Jay! You're making me want to spend money I don't have for this. Would love to see a build in this just to get ideas of how it well it works
That IS super nifty! Thanks for sharing.
I would love to see how this wires up with the whole Commander pro and ICue ecosystem.
I have the 5000X and I'm absolutely getting one of those with the new Shift PSU from Corsair
This is looking really good but since this is for a Corsair case it would have been nice if there would be the Corsair RGB headers on the board so you don't have to create a cable mess for the fans. Probably Corsair wouldn't like that idea tho so... maybe they could work out a deal and make it happen.
can you do a build in this? I wanna see how it would work with the cables
Need to see a build!!
Pretty damn cool. Thanks for showing us.
I would love to see this full build.
I just picked up the 5000x case a week ago. I'll definitely have to look into getting the power board.
god jay you gave us idea, ty, this custom board is super!
Definitely want to see how it looks in the O11 Dynamic! Really cool concept
I would love to see you do a build in either case using the power board to see not only how it looks but how it performs.
WOW, that is pretty badass... Keep the cool vids coming... I would also like to see a build with that lol
It really is awesome for it's simplicity, I'm looking forward to managing the cables in the computer I built last December, though. I've been tossing my limited funding in other directions, so I haven't splurged on an AIO, several fans, and extra storage to complete the system yet. My previous computer I built a dozen years ago had no cable management. I'm putting well managed cables almost in the same category as peeling protective plastic off new components.
Please do a build using that distro board, I would love to see what the potential looks like fulfilled
I see no point of this board in a case where the cables will be hidden anyway. This is useful for cases with a glass back panel and you don't want the cables running down the back of the case to show. And one also, you have to order two sets of custom cables......
Exactly my thoughts
@@Chaosek Exactly as you say, totally pointless exercise, I have this case and I always eger to throw money at my rig, yes, I'm a twat with a 5950 and a 3090 watercooled but even I couldn't/wouldn't throw money at this.
@@malcolmparkes9981 i guess if you have money you can spend them the way you want but i think a custom set of cables is much better than this..
i have a high end build with 10850k and 3080 in "older" lian li o11dynamic i i do not see the point of that product for me ..
ooh i want to see how it looks built, i am thinking about changing my old case since i cant find a gpu lmao
You should definitely do a build in this! Wow!
I hope they make powerboards for more cases, like the Meshify 2 XL and the Torrent that I have. This is actually revolutionary.
Please do a nice build in this case lol. Just picked up a alderlake setup and 5000d airflow andd now thiss has me super interested.
i want one!!! Thanks Jay & Team!!!
Interesting concept and could be adapted to a multitude of top cases.
Please do a full build with this, showing how this really works and is a benefit in full detail 🙂
got the one thats all tempered glass and i absolutely love the case
ivve had the 5000x in white for like 3 months now and its awesome
Are you gonna build in the new evo case?
Brilliant. Please do a build with this
just bought the power board for my case it looks excellent
I can't remember the last time there was aftermarket accessories for specific cases. this is cool
i really like the idea of those powerboards! in theory, they could even include front panel connectors in the back, so those can be run just as neat and tidy.
Just bought the 5000X, definitely need this because its difficult to cable manage with running 12 corsair fans.
I was hoping you'd show this off, after you mentioned it the other day!
Really interested in the concept of a power board, and I have considered getting the 5000D Airflow for my next case.
Im ready for some builds after these unboxings.
I like jay showing small mods
Jay, I have a zip tie gun made by RV Rhodes that I really love for zip ties, it cuts them off cleanly beneath the "cinch" point at very specific tensions you can dial on the tool.
Ive got to say I singularity computer before you started putted them on your channel and love everything that come out with and they builds. ive got the 5000D case saw this but did go for it in the end cos ive got a RTX 3090 FE just wanted the on cable going to the card when it was watercooled lol
Its my case!! I love it!!
What a great idea. I feel like this is something that case manufacturers could start offering too.
I try to do a neat job of cable management in my PC's but I'm not obsessed enough about it to need this.
That swing open door makes it feel really professional
Issues with this.
1. No included cables : Presumably, you could use the cables from your PSU to power it, but that would be dependant on how much space you have to coil them. Most cases bearly give you enough space when you run them all the way to the device, i very much doubt theres enough to coil 98% of the PSU cable length to plug into that board. It should come with 4" (or so) connector cables to power the board. Then we can get custom cables to run to the devices.
2. Blocks the CPU back plate: You did mention this, but it would be annoying to have to remove that every time to remove the CPU block to clean it (for water coolers).
3. Cost: Given the above "no included cables", $300 is alot to invest, especially when you (ideally) would need 2 sets of cables to do it as cleanly as this is designed to make it.
4. SATA: Neat idea to put the sata on for SSD's, but what is the speed of that interface? Is there any performance drop using that over connecting them directly to the motherboard?
5. Fans/RGB : I'm guessing this is a no, but are the fans/rgb individually controllable? or is it all just controlled off the 1 input? It would be nice if at least the fans could be 'zoned' to run at different speeds.
yeah this product is actually pretty dumb especially considering the price to make custom lengths as well as the incompatibility that may cause if switching cases
I think the price reflects where it was made. Probably we should support higher prices so they won't be obligated to outsource production to China or any other third world country.
6. Adds exactly double the points of potential failure.
Point 1 isn't really valid. PSU side pinouts are proprietary to the manufacturers, and for some manufacturers they change from PSU to PSU.
Think about the market - the people willing to pay for this are the people paying hundreds of dollars for custom cables anyway....
@@triadwarfare just think about how much this is compared to a motherboard though. there are many companies that make high-quality mobos that are cheaper than this
i would really like to see some builds using these power boards. would really like to see what a final look would look like
Would love to see a full build on each case
Please build in this case using it, i would love to see what a completed system in the 5000 series case with the power board.
