I remember the question on using the white fittings vs. bending the tubes. You made the right call in using the fittings; it gives the rig a more industrial vibe.
That mobo sounds like a good candidate for a Northridge Fix collaboration. I'd be interested in seeing what happens in that situation and what it would take to fix it. We all make mistakes, it's always a good feeling to fix something you broke. It's very possible it just blew a fuse.
I second an attempt to repair the board.
Northridge fckups? the dude destroying customer boards and then charging them a no-fix fee and banning anyone pointing out that he destroyed it? he's a clown at best 🤡
@@shadowwolf2608 I third an attempt to repair the board. It's always so easy just to throw something away in today's world when instead a lot of these things may only need some minor repairs in order to fix it. Such a shame to just throw $300 away when it may only need a few bucks in order to get it working again.
@@DanakarEndeel It might end up being a $5 component, but labor is expensive, could be $200-300 for that alone.
Nrf can't fix sh*t. He only fixes bad ports and traces. Good soldering skills but too little knowledge how modern electronic works. The psu not starting means pson signal dead - chipset dead.
Looks visually amazing - one of the neatest liquid systems ever.
I agree. Jay is really good at bending tubes & planning loops, which really sets it a part from all the other builds imo.
I never get tired of Phil's montages. Excellent work! As for the "stupid mistake", there's been more than a few times where I ended up regretting an 'improvement' that wasn't necessary.
Yep. That's why I don't mess with hardware.
Yeaa... but not as many times as everything worked in the end and I was happy I did it ^^
I love Jay's sense of humor and how well it seems he treats his guys. Great channel thank you Jay and company!!
I agree a sense of humor is crucial. I'm glad "Shumone shumwere hashhh one."
They just scared to tell any different :D
SIGNALRGB BABY!!!! ITS THE BEST RGB SOFTWARE, AND ALLLLL YOUR COMPONENTS WOULD WORK WITH ONE SOFTWARE!!! PLUS THEY HAVE PC AND FAN CONTROL TOO, I AM SUPER SUPRISED THAT JAY HAS NEVER TALKED ABOUT SIGNALRGB!?🤨🤨🤨BEING THAT IT IS ENDGAME SOFTWARE FOR ME AND I HAVE BEEN HATING ALL MOTHERBOARD RGB SOFTWARE! AND ICUE, ICUE SUCKS COMPARED TO SIGNALRGB, JAY IF YOU HAVE NEVER TRYED SIGNALRGB JUST GIVEIT A TRY YOU WONT BE DISAPOINTED I KNOW I AINT, PLUS THEY HAVE A UA-cam CHANNEL TOO SO YOU CAN CHECK OUT THEIR SOFTWARE AND ALL THE AWESOME CANVAS EFFECTS AND AUDIO VISUALIZERS, AND THEY ADD NEW EFFECTS ABOUT EVERY TWO WEEKS WHICH IS SICK!! CHECK IT OUT!! THEY CAN EVEN BE A SPONSOR! THEY ARE ON LTT! 😄SORRY FOR ALL CAPS, ... I JUST LOVE SIGNALRGB!!!!! 🤩😍😍😍
Imagine giving him $10 and he don't even acknowledge your comment lmao
thats tough@@bigfoot3322
It’s good to see Jay make the same mistakes I do at times.
Why is it good to see him make mistakes ?
@@jimmy3le9plusit makes him even more relatable 😊
This. I haven't cooked off a board in 20 years, but I still remember doing it because I cooked the first one I ever installed. >.
@@jimmy3le9plus cause it shows the reality of facts. I spent the last 30 years building pc and shit sometimes can happen, doesn't matter if you do everything to avoid it.
I agree. It's good to see a creator make mistakes. They aren't perfect and for those who watch his stream, the unexperienced may see this and know to check for that when they are building a computer. It brings the creator into a more relatable experience with the user than one who appears to sit on a pedestal and is perfect.
Amazing build and truly feels like we go through it with the team. This is easily one of the most beautiful builds I've ever seen.
Mistakes happen... its how you deal with them that makes all the difference..
Also Phil, bangup job on the B roll of the build... liked the tune and just really cool shots and editing!!
Thanks you guys for taking us on this ride
I love these bit by bit special builds Jay - Hope you're doing well mate - from Australia
I think Aussies can probably relate to Jayz oddball humour right 😜🦘
@@petermckenzie580 Yes mate, indeed.
This build is so gorgeous. Glad you admit mistakes you made and how you went through it.
He had to cause who's to say he actually bent 85% of the tubing. It happened off camera and this happens to most of his builds.
Killer build, as always! Thanks for adding the montage of the final build. Love the whole thing. Keep up the good work guys!
19:03 my favorite camera angle that ive seen so far. So glorious, what a great build
It was fun to watch this build take shape and it came out so good! I also like that Jay leaves his mistakes in the videos because that can be more useful for people, they learn what not to do and why you shouldn't do it.
This build looks absolutely sick! And awesome montage by Phil as usual, loved the old video effects!
Wow... this is one of the nicest builds i have ever seen, the outcome is incredible, congrats Jay. 😊
Even someone with a crap ton of experience makes bad mistakes… it happens to everyone. Like how you were honest with your friend as well, much respect love your videos.
I really love this build - looks amazing!
I don't blame your friend for liking those fans. I picked up some just to replace my Corsair 120s which felt like they were gathering dust more than any other fans I've ever had, and they just look great. The accent lighting is so clean on the white ones, and I think even I'm hooked.
half the time the rgb on my corsair 120s dont work or flash. just ordered these lian li fans
@kylepinder6.7 Don't think you'll regret your decision.
It's also nice when you can reduce the number of cables thanks to the option to snap-in daisychain the fans and just use one wire for power and control~.
@@Kitsune-Chaos definitely, with corsair its inevitable that you will have a rats nest in your pc. Unless you buy the new $50 fans.
Great job with the build. I also loved how Jay was just walking casually through the montage xD.
And Jay, you didn't kill the mainboard, you just prepared something to fix for the Northridge Fix collaboration. 👍 well done!
I don't think the mainboard is dead. There's not a lot on the back that can short and kill it at least in that area where the bracket got stuck. So my guess is it detected a short and just protected itself. Otherwise, sure I would like to see a Northridge Fix collaboration.
This is quite possibly my favorite montage you guys have done. I friggin' LOVED the VHS tracking effect in the beginning as well as the rest of the effects, as they went awesomely well with that music you chose. Sick editing Phil!
Thanks mate
@@GregoryShtevensh could you provide the name of the song at 18:36 please? Its a banger but I'm having no luck with shazam and such :(
This build is GORGEOUS! I'm a Mega Man X fan, and this build gets two thumbs up from me! Excellent work, Jayz!
Zero will always be better than x
@@playboyreaper5966 Ditto
This build looks sick! I can't wait to see you do your battleship build, that thing has my curiosity peaked. Keep your head up and your cooler brackets mounted, you make some beautiful builds.
i loved this series. fascinating project, i always love watching custom loops be built
There's something very soothing about watching Jay do a build. It's almost therapeutic
That PC looks incredible, Jay! Just once in my life I'd like to try building a custom water loop PC like that.
I made some videos how to build one. It has 2 custom loops Its called: T virus resident evil watercooled pc
👍Sweet build Jay! Really came together in a simple, yet elegant way.
Thanks for taking us on this journey. I very much enjoyed the ride and to finally see the outcome of this amazing looking PC!
That little air pressure gauge is SUCH a good idea.
This new version with a hose makes me wish I'd waited until it came out. But I still love the older one that I own. The most important watercooling tool ever. It let me buy used parts with confidence, because I didn't have to wait until I had everything, built it and had it spring a leak onto some paper towel. Imagine messaging a seller after several months...
Plus not having to use paper towels saves the environment :P (and your time, no more 24 hour leak tests, even for my anxious ass 30 minutes was plenty)
Thank you Jay for the video, now we know what not to do😊. You’ve always kept it real and showed us that even the best of us make mistakes, love that honesty in your videos. The final build is outstanding and just having Megaman as a solo figure in the case and changing the LEDs to make it appear like a level in the game is an awesome look. Appreciate the content you guys put out and props to Phil the montage god!🤘🏻
Looks super clean. Love the Build, Jay, keep up the good work.
Thats a gorgeous build! I've been waiting for it to be done. One of the slickest i've seen. Makes me wanna do a custom loop really bad.
"This is gonna be the most boring montage Phil has done"
Phil: ya think so buddy? 18:27
Phil never disappoints with his montages and today was no exception!!
I am sorry for all you had to go through. And this is not to pour salt into the wound, but knowing you how knowledgeable you are and meticulous (usually), this clearly happened because you built this PC switching/skipping steps. Which in turn, in my honest noob opinion, is one of the greatest lessons we can take away from all of this.
No matter what PC you're building, always go through with all the required steps to avoid these kind of outcomes.
Glad everything turned out ok, your friend is super MEGAMANChill and the build looks insanely good. Also, 2000IQ Move with 2nd reservoir. Like holy shit, it's like magic!
Hats off Jay, fantastic build! So cohesive and well thought.
and it's broken🤣🤣
The build looks so nice, I really like the white lighting with the blue effect moving through it.
I love this build, and I'm not one for white computers. Thank you for sharing your successes and failures; it helps me learn what to do and what to watch out for. This build has made me really want to doing PC builds for fun. Normally I just take a case I already have, with parts I already have, then adapt and upgrade. Thanks for always sharing!
Man, everyone needs a friend like Jays.
I really think this is a beautiful build, Jay. Your friend is a lucky guy! We all make mistakes, thanks for having the courage to show us you too make mistakes. There is no shame in it and honestly it makes us all feel a little better. Keep up the great work Jayz crew!
great to see these videos. personally, i subbed for the custom builds rather than the drama in the industry and benchmarks etc, but will watch every one of these build videos
It is very important you never ever remove any kind of mistake you might make from your videos, it provides us the ability to learn some very important lessons in future builds. Thank you Jay! 🙂
I wonder what the Micro Center strategy is behind their rather extensive ad campaigns. Inform every person nation and worldwide about deals they can't get?
Amazing , definitely would like more water cooled builds from you. Looks absolutely amazing
That was an AWESOME video. I've always been afraid of custom liquid cooling, but watching your videos is starting to change my mind. Thank you
Saw the title, snorted and clicked. Well played Jay
Friend took it like a champ. Good job sharing the mistakes, we're all human.
Absalutly amazing build. You are killing it Jay two thumbs up.
Great job! I love what you've done with the place! Mega Man
Love the look of this build, gives me lots of ideas for my own re-build! Thanks guys!
cracking job jay - absolutely love the aesthetics - wish i had a build anything like that!!
Turned out awesome! Very much looking forward to my next build with hard tubing! Cheers!
Such a good looking build and I love the vintage filter on the montage. I fried a SuperMicro EPYC server board and CPU because I didn't finish tightening the CPU down before putting the cooler on. Still feel like throwing up a little when I think about it. The build look super good though. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
This Mega Man Series of Build Videos has been so cool to watch. Thanks Jay and what an awesome result.
Jay has inspired me with my 1st build, Now this! can't wait to build my 1st water cooled build. Thanks for the inspiration Jay! More power to the channel!
Love videos like this series. Hope you keep making them in the future.
happy to see you're very honest with your clients Jay. thumbs up!
This is a SICK build. Hella clean. Nice job Jay and team :)
SOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! - AMAZING WORK!!!!!!
And PHIL TOO!!! - That montage was EXCELLENT!!! (as always) I am REALLY digging that close up scope thing you got... VERY UNIQUE!!!
Ohhh boy... This build just looks so awesome... Great work...
I wish I could build something like this for myself and for my kids ...themed pc builds. Great work Jay, lovin' it. 💪👍
Gorgeous build
Amazing build, nice work Jay!!! Dont feel bad about that board, sh*t happens sometimes.
Keep it up!
It came out sooo goood! Props for u Jay! and Phill, that montage came out goood aswell :D Need to try someday to build some more of figure theme build
Just wanted to stop by and say that after all these years, you still put out great content. THANK YOU !!!!
2 Things I have to say. 1st. I am loving the build videos. 2nd. The editing and montage footage was awesome. The production of this series was very entertaining. The end build with the flames was sick.
This build looks great. I'm sure your friend is going to love it.
Very inspiring, I’m debating doing a custom water coolant loop for my first PC build. It will only be cooling the CPU, as I havnt found any water block for my GPU, but your videos are the best on UA-cam. So thanks man
That is a sweet build. It's always good to see you finish one of these, warts difficulties and all! I'm in a Fractal North, which I really like, although it isn't the best choice for a water cooled build. It's going to become a water cooled build.
Beautiful build Jay!
Both of my rigs use a Phanteks D120 distro plate in place of the rear 120mm fan. A bit fiddly to plumb but the result is very pleasing.
Grate build guys! Looks sick :D
Nice to see this one completed, turned out amazing!
This build looks awesome! nice work there!
I love how the build ended up. Very nice and clean aesthetics.
I like the way the CPU block looks in acetal with the lighting. It kind of reminds me of my old XSPC Raystorm that I hung on to for way too long just because I loved how it looked.
Love the montage and the music on it. Good job Phil!
I loved this video, such good b roll, amazing build!
Outstanding Job Jay.
Great build! Maybe the Ram could be the live/energy bars?
If you had used a normal tube res it could have been a dr light capsule with X dashing to it for the powerup.
That is a LOVELY build, man! Art, pure art!
Absolutely love this build
the montage at the end was awesome. lol jay comes into screen drinking a water bottle and moves out of the way when he notices hes in the shot. lol good stuff. dope build. love the mega man theme.
Jay, I do this all the time when building a PC with a custom loop: Take the tubes off the CPU block, grab your blower vac and blast air through the block while you do your initial boot up test. I've actually got a soft tube and fitting that slips over the end of my little blower so I don't have to awkwardly hold the blower while testing. It keeps it cool enough to even boot windows and do basic tasks as long as the blower keeps chugging.
Dope build Jay....its sweet!
Thanks, this looks essentially like what i want to do. Now i just need to get the parts and get going on the build.
I love the flame effect in mystic light, I use that with a blue theme for my system. Really triggers the serotonin
bravo Jay...looks great...killer lighting....
Great build Jay. Thank you for taking us on the journey. I hope your buddy likes it. I know I do :)
That looks super clean!!! Good job!
freaking amazing! i can feel the struggles
Fluid plates look so neat and they also cover unwanted airflow paths sealing the box in a beautiful way
I love those flat retention brackets. I have one in each PC in my home office - so easy to install.
Very cool build, thanks
Probably my favorite build to date, and I’m not even a mega man fan. The fire scene with the ram lighting was just *chefs kiss* ahh
Looks great! You could make it like he is trying to escape, and do something to the front glass as if he shot it.
I remember building my first PC back in 2000 and I made a big mistake to put all the case screw mounts in and it was shorting the motherboard, luckily it didn't fry it. It was a good Intel Pentium 4 motherboard and it lived for over a decade!
Great music for the montage! Thanks Phil!!
These builds are amazing and I love this content.
That final results looks nice Jay, I am sure your friend will be happy
Well that Phil montage! Chef's kiss! Great mix Phil. Also maybe let all the caps discharge reset the CMOS. And see if the board will boot.
This pc looks amazing, great content as always
