I ordered this to net the algae in a large pond in our backyard. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxphFK7ETiDP5G4IGsNcg7vbASDp_YfDpI The net is very sturdy and easy to maneuver in the water. The angled edges make it easier to get into the smaller spaces among the rocks. I didn't realize that the front of the net doesn't actually have a frame to it, just the sides do, but it seems to work just fine. The handle extends to various sizes, which is a great feature when I'm in areas that are tight with shrubs at the edges of the pond. I can collapse the handle so it doesn't get stuck in the bushes.
Thanks. I've watched many videos on the bimini twist and none are adequate from a visual standpoint. Your tutorial is very clear with the explanation and it was easy to see what's happening from all the camera angles and zoom.
Hi there Matt. Thank you for making the tying of this knot so clear. I watched another video before yours and could not get it right. I tied my first bimini after watching your video. Keep up the good work!
Bimini twist as usual but I would venture a guess that you bow hunt, as the whip finish is identical to the whip finish for my bow servings for sights and nock points. This is my new fa vorite for bill fish, tarpon class leaders, inshore species, fly line to backing etc.
I know this is an older video but it's still helping people like me out... thank you. Is this just as strong as tying your double with the braided knot?
Hi, does Bimini twist in braid lines also produce spring effect? Secondly, can we use double uni knot while attaching to leader (i.e., Bimini braid to mono leader AND Bimini mono to mono leader?)
No it isn't...his does not include the whip finish at the end. which adds an additional 20 seconds but is a far superior finish for "ramping" and taper along with finish bite. Watch it again and pay attention this time.
You can go loop to loop with a wind on or tie an Albright on doubled over leader. Nice thing about the longer double section as you can tie multiple Albright's before having to retie the bimini.

Nice tutorial mate, the close up for the finishing knot was super clear and just what i needed.

Excellent and clear explanation. Pure skills and knowledge. BZ as we say in the Navy

I like this bloke he's a champion 🏆
Thank you. Most informative channel on you tube and online in general
Hands down straight shooting business, thanks mate

Simply brilliant video yet again.
Huge thumbs up from me, keep up the excellent work.
Thanks :)
Would you nowadays use that over the plait shown in "Getting started in game fishing" ? I kinda struggle a bit with the plait.
Plaît is more permanent for lighter and longer game fishing leaders
Yeah the American bloke that uses the rod and reel to do it is quick as just like the way your doing it Matt 🤙🏽

Great tuition, many thanks
Best vid I have found for this knot. Thanks!
I used to think it would be impossible to tie on of these ridiculous knots. Now I’m certain of it
Great video! Can you unhook a Bimini to change leaders or do you just cut them off and start all over? Thank you!
Depends what knot you have used to attach the lead, if its a 'Cats Paw' then it can be easily untied.
Excellent instruction!
great demo mate. whats the best double tho.......plat or bimminy,,, 24 k .....
Hi, after u create the Burmese twist, hw do u connect the two lines together
on the mono do you have to end with such a large loop? Thanks
Its the whole idea of the knot is to have a double but you usually have a bigger double he made it smaller just to make it easier for the video
Please Matt. Next one braid to mono shock leader for surf casting and a bait blaster.
Does this work with small plastic line? I seemed to have made a slip knot following these steps
I did one - not great - and I found the loop slips if you pull on it. Is it meant to lock?
@Justin Bradburn cheers - I'll give it another go then - thanks for posting
Good morning this réunion island.
Can you do a Aussie platt knot too ?
What caused the line to wrap around itself?
👌👍 excellent!!🇹🇹
My twist singes down on itself. Is it suppose to do that
I don't understand this knot. What do you use it for? Tying line to a hook?
Watch his soft bait setup it shows how to connect it
Ok but what do you do with that giant loop?
You can go loop to loop with a wind on or tie an Albright on doubled over leader. Nice thing about the longer double section as you can tie multiple Albright's before having to retie the bimini.
Loop to loop biminis come close to 99 percent strength. FG around 80-85.
good
but why and how would you use it?
