How about an “amazing” video on the health benefits of sprouts and how now going into fall and winter you can easily grow them indoors taking up very little space? 🌱🌱🌱
Sir, you should do more videos like this more frequently, I find this kind of video very interesting and informative ! Great Content as always. 🙏🙏THANKS!
Perfect video! My wife and toddler son are obsessed with tomatoes 🙂 I'm glad this series is back! Can you also do some videos about eating on the road/traveling as a vegan? Thank you for all of your fantastic content!
I like the fresh style salsa for raw tomato. Some lime, cilantro and other stuff. Has a much runnier texture than the store style cooked salsa, but I like it.
I LOVE tomatoes! In the summer like now, I have the little yellow ones in a bowl on the counter to eat as a snack. I grab one or two or more as I walk by. Did you just say "diddle"??????
This series is always so informative! Thanks for doing all this research. Maybe a video on rice next? I feel like I have rice every day but don't know about all the different varieties. No matter what food you decide to cover next, I'll watch!
I love slicing tomato and avocado, mixing it with cooked farro. Then microwave a couple minutes. Hit it with soy sauce, hot sauce and some black pepper. Amazing
In Mexican cooking, I like to use salsa twice. I add it into my crumbles after browning them, and let it cook in, then add it raw to the burritos, tacos, or "Tex Mex Dip." This is just refried beans, spread out on a plate, topped with the cooked crumbles and black olives, and Vegan cheeze, then microwaved till hot, then topped with chopped lettuce, salsa, and Vegan sour cream, served with the lowest sodium tortilla chips one can find, because this dip, as made, is already a salt bomb, without adding any during cooking.
I am SO SO happy you've brought this series back! And I must say, this one is probably my fave as tomatoes are just the best in the summer! I've been eating these like apples lately XD However, I did not have any luck this year growing my own...probably because I had no idea I should diddle them ;P Anyways, thank you so much for another bomb video! Sending lots of love and hoping you are having a great week!
Have you done an amazing foods video on ginger? If not, that would be interesting. (If you have, sorry for wasting your time.) I really enjoy your videos. You always come across as so positive, which cheers me up and is something we all need in these trying times.
Maria Damis cook eggplant for the first time, a fried version, then baked with tomatoes and cheese. Okay but never again, eggplant is mashie not a fan.
Nettles! I know that it's not a very common food. But they are very nutritious, readily available and cheap and definitely a good addition to every diet every now and then. Especially the leaves of young plants in smoothies or slightly cooked as a cheap an super nutritious spinach substitute are really amazing. They also grow almost everywhere due to the nitrogen intakes into the ecosystems through industry, traffic and agriculture even though you have to watch out for where you pick them. Would not recommend them near a busy road. Another tip. Where I live in Central Europe and probably many other places as well the seeds of them are now ripe and can be harvested (with proper protection obviously) in masses and stored to use them during winter times.
Homemade tomato sauce, or as the Italians call it, tomato gravy, is super easy to make homemade and tastes do much better. Cut up tomatoes, some onion, garlic, and green peppers, Italian seasoning. I'm sure there are a lot of recipes online. Most people add a tiny amount (like 1 reaspoon) of sugar into a big pot of sauce to eliminate slight bitterness.probably 1 date would work. Cooking times vary. I cook an hour or as needed. Easy peasy. Great video today.
Can't thank you enough for this video bro.I was recently diagnosed with stage 3 paridontel disease and diddnt know that lycopen thing. I've also been wondering what else to do with all my tomatos.
Try the variety called "Juliet". They are a small torpedo type. Before the first frost, I pick them all and bring them in. They ripen slowly at different speeds so I have tomatoes for another month.
Wow! Very informative!!! I mix black beans, peas and tomatoes with my brown rice or quinoa every week for meal prep. Then, I top it with avocado, nutritional yeast with some seasoning and BAM, got ya some yummy lunch!
Yes bro! thank you so much for bring this series back!! i love them!! i would say lemon is one of the most powerful foods i know. it takes 5 seconds to notice how it alkalizes your body. And garlic as well for it's anti-viral and anti-bacterial effects to prevent getting ill.
Hi Derek, here in Germany we don't call it heirloom apple but there is an area near Hamburg where they grow "old variety" apples - basically a heirloom apple. Very delicious. No Pink Lady. Enjoy your day.
I often fry Falafel or red lentil burgers (patties) in a pan, but the ones from flour which I first have to soak in water so it gets clumsy. Could you make a video about how to make them without oil? I rarely manage to make pancakes without oil its kinda hard and only worked out once Haha. Thank you you're the best!
Yay! I love this series so much! I know you talk about beetroot powder and the benefits of taking some well before a workout, but I would absolutely love to see an episode on beets! They’re one of my favorite root veggies.
My favorite way to use my tomatoes from the garden is to cut them in half and roast them on a sheet pan with sliced onion, garlic, and fresh herbs. After they are roasted, the skins peel right off. Then I throw everything in my blender for some amazing tomato sauce.
Thanks for the email with this video link I forgot I only watch half of the Video when you post it on you tube now I finished it the prostate concerning tomatoes helpfulness was great 👍🏻
I’m glad these are back! You do such a good presentation and I certainly have a Greater appreciation for that food afterwards. I sent a link to my hubby since he’s the primary gardener in our family. Thank you!!
Love tomatoes! I eat them almost everyday but could you cover cucumbers, parsley, cilantro, and maybe onions? Also great to hear you're from BC! Gotta support locals hahahahahaha
Love this series! Thanks for bringing it back. My suggestion is butternut squash and other squashes. They are in season now too. Parsley and other herbs are also interesting as I know they are very high in nutrients.
We have been getting soooo many tomatoes out of our garden this year! I couldn't bring myself to thin out the seedlings that volunteered so I saved almost every plant! 😆 whoops! But tons in the freezer, tons to give away and tons more on their way 👍 Make sure to pick your ripe tomatoes before it rains or you water so they don't split. Love these videos. Keep em coming! 🍅
So glad to see these videos again! I think it will really inspire ppl to eat healthier & more plant-based. Any suggestions w tomatoes for ppl w bad heartburn issues? Thanks.
I'm excited for this channel to reach 1 million subs at some point. Your Amazing Food video on Oats totally brought them back into my daily routine. I work construction in often 110 degree weather and folks never believe that I can do it while being vegan and healthy. But those oat cookies saved the day and saved me a lot of money. Used to just eat 3 or 4 Clif bars at work instead. As for the tomato quac recipe, I highly recommend adding some Italian dressing (the pack that use to make at home, not the regular dressing). I never went back.
I think you foreshadowed your next one! Apples are delish and there are soooooooo many kinds. I think it’d be cool to talk about how apples are usually pretty old on the shelf, the different kinds, genetic makeup, etc.
Love tomatoes! Posted a pic and tagged you on Instagram with the faux Caprese tomatoes. Since fall and winter are coming, perhaps a video on pumpkins and other winter squashes.
not sure if you've already discussed this in previous videos (please let me know if you already have videos on this) but I've recently become interested in 3 topics that may or may not be closely connected: 1. prolonged water fasting 2. human microbiome and its impact on health and disease 3. vitamin d and its impact on health and disease would love to hear your thoughts on these topics

I'm so glad you liked it! Yes I would like to upload more often.
I've eaten whole tomatoes like an apple since I was very young! I love them so much!!
Also would love to see a video on mushrooms for this series.
The food professor is back!
Perfect video! My wife and toddler son are obsessed with tomatoes 🙂 I'm glad this series is back! Can you also do some videos about eating on the road/traveling as a vegan? Thank you for all of your fantastic content!
Ohh, we are heading on a short road trip within the province this week, maybe I will try and figure out how to incorporate a video into the trip.
I diddled my flowers yesterday, my neighbours reported me to the authorities.
Thank you! 🥦❤ Beautiful harvest
In case you forgot guys : Diddle your tomatoes!! 🍅
So glad the series is back. Love the channel. How about doing brocolli?
This series is always so informative! Thanks for doing all this research. Maybe a video on rice next? I feel like I have rice every day but don't know about all the different varieties. No matter what food you decide to cover next, I'll watch!
I don't even like tomatoes but I'm watching and liking because hey, it's you!
Haha I appreciate that!
Thank you for the lesson on tomatoes that was amazing. One thing I do miss about living in NJ is the fresh ripe tomatoes we always use to get.
You should make a "Sprouts are Amazing - Especially sprouted Buckwheat" =) Amazing video like always! best regards
Yesssss please cover buckwheat!
I love slicing tomato and avocado, mixing it with cooked farro.
Then microwave a couple minutes.
Hit it with soy sauce, hot sauce and some black pepper.
Amazing
Make an episode about cabbage! Great video, missed the series
I put hummus on toast and then sliced tomatoes that's really good too.
Good idea! I like using sprouts, would be a nice combo

Having been to BC all summer I want this series revived and so I can know everything about the valley's surreal cherries.
I am SO SO happy you've brought this series back!

Do a video on artichokes! Love 'em!!!
How about EGGPLANT? This was great!!👍
Maria Damis cook eggplant for the first time, a fried version, then baked with tomatoes and cheese. Okay but never again, eggplant is mashie not a fan.
Mashie?
Carmen Bailey try baba ganoush before you give up on eggplant.
I’m Italian/Sicilian/ Mediterranean so I don’t have blood, I have tomato sauce in my veins. LOVE them almost as much as I love you guys. ❤️
I think tomato is the vegetable I eat the most in the salads. I have always loved eating it
Never used to like tomatoes I started to like them when I became vegan.
Thank you. for all the great information love all your videos
That's so cool! I love how tastes can change.
What I was super young I would find bell peppers spicy. Haha.
Me too now I love them especially the yellow ones
Tomatoes are by far my favorite ingredient to cook with; I specifically enjoy dousing almost everything I eat in some form of red sauce
How about one on Strawberries when they're in season?
Nettles!

I always loved tomatoes, and now I love them even more 🥰 thanks for sharing!
Those summer tomatoes look amazing!! Tomato sandwiches are my FAV!

Can you make a “How to store your food”. Would be awesome to see how to keep all fruits and veggies fresh for as long as possible.
Love me some Lycopene! Tomatoes with a dash of salt are 👌🏼👌🏼
I hear that!
Yass!
Try the variety called "Juliet". They are a small torpedo type. Before the first frost, I pick them all and bring them in. They ripen slowly at different speeds so I have tomatoes for another month.
I'm so happy this series is back! Tomatoes are incredible, and SO versatile.👍👍
Thank you.
Wow! Very informative!!! I mix black beans, peas and tomatoes with my brown rice or quinoa every week for meal prep. Then, I top it with avocado, nutritional yeast with some seasoning and BAM, got ya some yummy lunch!
I missed this series! You should do one on seaweed, and other kinds of root vegetables( specifically ones from Caribbean )
Yes bro! thank you so much for bring this series back!! i love them!! i would say lemon is one of the most powerful foods i know. it takes 5 seconds to notice how it alkalizes your body. And garlic as well for it's anti-viral and anti-bacterial effects to prevent getting ill.

Nuts, kale ( if you already have done this), corn. You make it so much easy to understand😃 i feel my brain is working🙌🏾
Derick, is there much to say about olives?
I like them so much! It adds much of a texture to any meal in my opinion!
Lots of salt I suppose.
You've made me excited for tomato-growing season here in the southern hemisphere.
So happy this series is back!
Love your amazing foods segments and as I’m an avid gardener - also loving the glimpses of your garden. Fantastic video 💕
Great informative video! Appreciate your work, Derek! :)
Good timing for the release of this video! I just bought a 1/2 bushel today!!!
I missed this series! Thanks for bringing it back!
Love the amazing food series! I’m so glad it’s back. Definitely do some fall inspired recipes soon, it’s my favorite time of year for cooking ❤️
I often fry Falafel or red lentil burgers (patties) in a pan, but the ones from flour which I first have to soak in water so it gets clumsy. Could you make a video about how to make them without oil? I rarely manage to make pancakes without oil its kinda hard and only worked out once Haha. Thank you you're the best!
tomato scrambled egg (Chinese/Korean) style is the best, especially for a budget, or even Menemen with bread
LOVE your enthusiasm for these topics!
Love these brother! Definitely keep them coming!
Yay! I love this series so much! I know you talk about beetroot powder and the benefits of taking some well before a workout, but I would absolutely love to see an episode on beets! They’re one of my favorite root veggies.

Please remember if you do use the seeds from your heirlooms they might have been cross pollinated if you have other types next to it in your garden.
Thanks for the email with this video link I forgot I only watch half of the Video when you post it on you tube now I finished it the prostate concerning tomatoes helpfulness was great 👍🏻
This was awesome! I love tomatoes! My favourite is just tossing some chopped tomato in a bowl with avocado and a pinch of salt... done.
I will never understand not liking fresh tomatoes but I respect your point of view XD
Loved the video and glad the series are back!!! 🙌🏼😊
And i am soooo jealous of those tomatoes!!!! They look absolutely delicious!!! 👌🏻😍
Here for the algorithm. I appreciate your authenticity.

I didn't like tomatoes a year ago. Now I love em!
Hopefully you are canning some of those. Tomato sauce, marinara, salsa, so many uses. You’ll have them all winter
Love tomatoes in any shape and form 🤤 🍅🍅🍅
Stem down storage to extend shelf life is true. I do it ALL THE TIME! :)
I’m glad these are back! You do such a good presentation and I certainly have a Greater appreciation for that food afterwards. I sent a link to my hubby since he’s the primary gardener in our family. Thank you!!
I grew my first tomatoes this year. An heirloom purple variety I was gifted as a start. Next year I will be building a greenhouse.
Loved the video. Derek I think a great video would be a kitchen cookware showcase, kinds of pans you use and other utensils.
Thanks for your sharing of this video which is informative and interesting.
tomatoes literally make me gag. but I still watched the whole video because I love your vibe so much
Love tomatoes! I eat them almost everyday but could you cover cucumbers, parsley, cilantro, and maybe onions? Also great to hear you're from BC! Gotta support locals hahahahahaha
Loved this video, Derek! Excited for the return of this series and tomatoes were the perfect way to pick it back up :)
Yay, so glad this series is back!
Love this series! Thanks for bringing it back. My suggestion is butternut squash and other squashes. They are in season now too. Parsley and other herbs are also interesting as I know they are very high in nutrients.

Great to see this series back on!
Derek any chance you can do a video on homemade veggie dumplings?!
I will have to work on that one!
Great! Nice to see this return! How about seasonal produce of the fall? The choice of veggies/fruits available in autumn in Canada gets pretty low!
I'm excited for this channel to reach 1 million subs at some point. Your Amazing Food video on Oats totally brought them back into my daily routine. I think you foreshadowed your next one! Apples are delish and there are soooooooo many kinds. I think it’d be cool to talk about how apples are usually pretty old on the shelf, the different kinds, genetic makeup, etc.
There's something so salivating and delicious about cooking down tomatoes in chili or tomato sauce. I can smell it just watching this video!
Love tomatoes! Posted a pic and tagged you on Instagram with the faux Caprese tomatoes. Since fall and winter are coming, perhaps a video on pumpkins and other winter squashes.
