- Today we learn all about Sweet Potatoes. This marks the first video of a new series I'm going to be doing where I highlight a particular food and we learn about it! The history, how to select, nutritional qualities, fun facts and of course how to cook it. Let me know your thoughts down below. Luís Miguel nah only true for plants not animals, plants are significantly less bioavailabile than my raw milk and liver.

I do love this kinda video! Do Cabbage! Yeah I know not the most fun but I honestly just need some recipes for it.
Cabbage rolls, or adding cabbage in spring rolls, sushi, salads, buddah bowls.
Yeah is it purple cabbage or red cabbage. Haha. I never know what it is.
Favorite is roasted cabbage steaks. Cut head crosswise so steam holds slices together. Use parchment paper on roasting sheet or spray pan witjmh oil (optional). Spray cabbage lightly with oil (optional), pink Himalayan salt/cracked pepper. Roast 375 until golden or crispy. My kids prefer crispy. They think it tastes like potato chips!

I love sweet potatoes as wedges or baked. Just yesterday i had a baked one as a delicious treat.
Been working out + training a client and been pretty exhausted and in need for extra calories😁. So give this a try:
Bake a large sweet potato 45-60 minutes ( fork into it a couple times before ), then cut into 2 halfs and top it with dark chocolate, Banana, cinnamon & peanutbutter🍠🍌🥜. Sooo goood🤤

Hey, Derek! Really great idea for this series! I surely love the AMM, though. Anyway, I think it would be great to highlight mushrooms, because some say that they are high in protein, but, when you search for it's nutritional value, it doesn't seem to. It would be cool if you could explain the differences between Shimeji, Shiitake, white and brown mushrooms as well. Love your channel! Thank you for the content 🍂❤️🍃

I love the Japanese sweet potato with bananas, blueberries, seeds, and cinnamon. I think the Japanese sweet potatoes taste like French toast. Such a delicious and nutritious breakfast! I wanna see soy! Do edamame, tempeh, tofu, soy beans, miso, and if you can find natto, include that too!

How about legumes or dried beans. This is a minefield for me. I find myself scared to use some because they can be poisonous if not prepared correctly. So end up always buying the expensive preprepared stuff.

I'm all in for this series... I'm not a vegan, but have dabbled in the practice... I love you philosophy of nutrient density vs calorie density... I'm overweight, mostly in my gut and thighs, but I'm active. Need to be more active and monitor food intake... I keep watching your videos for plant based and fitness info. How many calories do you eat on average daily ?
@@anthonyxj28 I couldn't tell you, honestly... I don't track calories and I've been fasting a bit more. I have definitely struggled with overeating, but I'm working on it.
