Hey bud, so I just got my coleman all stock engine except for the carb and header pipe it is a 212cc predator hemi. But I went ahead and did a straight chain but now I lost mph and it stutters and it just doesn't pick up. With the jack shaft it did 38 mph and it would pickup great. But now that it's straight chain it lost power big time, not only that but sparks comes out of the clutch Any insight? Thanks!
If you are a heavier rider you might have to throw a bigger sprocket on the back to regain some of the low end. Doesn't sound like it has the torque to pull the bike into the power band of the engine with the big tires and higher gear ratio. Also, with the bigger sprocket it will be easier on the clutch. Straight chain usually will work great for a small or light rider because the bike will have enough torque to pull someone small even with the higher gear ratio.
@@Black66 I do have the smaller sprocket installed on the bike that you used on a previous video for sure. That makes sense. However with the jack shaft I run out of engine really quick it only goes 38mph and my engine runs out of rpm super quick. My friend with a 196cc smaller sproket, carb and header pipe his bike is doing 43.6mph and his limiter is loooong if that makes sense. But my 212 predator with carb, header pipe and smaller sproket it hits limiters super quick. The acceleration is instant but my top end just runs out. Would you recommend a better cam for that?
I installed my predator non hemi and mikuni carb and full throttled it and it blew up in like 5 seconds. Any idea why? Do I need modded billet rods and inside governor removal so it wont blow up at high speeds?
The Tillotson is built better. But the Predator will do just fine too. lol I guess it depends on how much you want to spend. If I was going to do an all-out build, I for sure would build the Tillotson. Stronger block. Ya, you can do a stage one on a Tilly.

The inexpensive way is to use a timing key. Check out the CT200U-EX playlist. There is a video in the list where I advance the timing.

@@Black66 I was thinking about advancing the timing, but parts joints charge an arm and a leg for shipping and I'm on a fixed income.
Thank you for the reply.
I learn a lot from your shows keep them up.
Can I ask you something ? What if my jack shaft didn’t come off as easy as yours did ? My little one came off quick but the one on the left is like stuck
I'm having the same issue. Did you ever get it off?
Hello, I’m new to this whole mini bike thing, I’ve gotten the same bike you have and your videos have been a huge help upgrading my bike. I do have a question, have you or can you explain how to run the kill switch wire?
Yes, I run a kill switch about three minutes into this video ua-cam.com/video/eEN2Jo0wgB0/v-deo.html
I have a predator 212 I installed and the chain is vibrating very hard
@@zoboy2440 tension and oul
How much would you say all of the parts to get it up to 50 mph cost
Check out the playlist for this bike, we have tried many different combos . I guess it depends if you want to do it with the 196 or the 212 ua-cam.com/video/X0SmAZJ6qW8/v-deo.html
I wish you could work on my bike. I’m after power not speed tho

Hell yeah man, i want to make my bike just like yours! What should I pick up?

@@Black66 you’re the man! Thank you boss !
But now that it's straight chain it lost power big time, not only that but sparks comes out of the clutch
Any insight?
@@boostedchalo6066 If you have stock Predator valve springs, a cam and springs will for sure make all the difference.
@@Black66 thank you so much for the input and responding. Love the videos man. Keep it up really enjoy watching the mods!👌🏽
Where can I find the engine and the name of it
Harbor freight. Predator 212
What did u do for the gas tank?
It's on there. LOL, You just can't see it. I have a video coming out Wednesday.
Where can I get that carb ??
The link for the carburetor is in the description
I installed my predator non hemi and mikuni carb and full throttled it and it blew up in like 5 seconds. Any idea why? Do I need modded billet rods and inside governor removal so it wont blow up at high speeds?
Uh yes bro
Hey Black should I go with a Tillotson engine over a Predator? Also does the stage 1 kit intake and header pipe compatible with the Tillotson?
The Tillotson is built better. But the Predator will do just fine too. lol I guess it depends on how much you want to spend. If I was going to do an all-out build, I for sure would build the Tillotson. Stronger block.
Ya, you can do a stage one on a Tilly.
@@Black66 Did u do a Tilly vs predator engine speed video?
@@l.a.m7645 Yes I did . Let me look to see when I have it coming out .
@@Black66 Oh great on the Camo 200 would be great us big guys can't ride those little 100s lol

What did you do, did you mash your thumb? It looks like it.
Yes!! and it hurt for like a month! lol I smashed it when I was doing the Micro bike video
Hi it would be great if u can list all the item in the video like the link to the engine and the other items that u did just to install the engine thank you
I’ll have to do that .
How many teeth did the clutch have
10 tooth clutch
Needs a torque converter...makes a big difference on mine.
Check out the play list for this bike. Its had quite a few different combos ua-cam.com/video/X0SmAZJ6qW8/v-deo.html
your doing a top speed run without a proper break-in period
Yup! wide open the first run out.! And soon after the governor was taken off and a header pipe with a VM22 carburetor and a 7-degree flywheel key was added and we ran it even harder! Wide-open most of the time. This bike has been a test mule straight out of the box and still runs perfect! Great bike!
Check out my other videos
@@Black66 must be nice to have enough money to play like that
@@thomastaylor6511 Not really about the money . We like testing things . With this bike We found out that you can take a Brand new Coleman bike and run it beyond hard right out of the box and it will run amazing even 8 months later .
I’m totally surprised that 196 is that durable . Great engine !
This engine still has the governor wheel inside the case .This was another thing we wanted to test . We wanted to see how a 196 would hold up with out even opening up the case to take out the governor wheel . Totally stock internals . But at the same time add a carb header pipe and timing .
45mph on a stock internal 196cc?
Yes! actually faster than that. Check out the playlist ua-cam.com/video/X0SmAZJ6qW8/v-deo.html
what size jet do you have in that mukini?
@black66 ?
What mph would it do with a stock predator 212?
A totally stock and governed Predator I'm guessing not much faster than the 196cc
@@Black66 what about a governed 212 with a stage 1
@@Probablymadeumad That governor holds it back . Take that governor off and add some 18lb springs if it doesnt have them already , and that predator will move out really good!
How far do you get

Straight chain it and turn the clutch around you'll hit 60 easy.

We are wanting it to be faster but at the same time have decent torque
So what’s all in it?
Ill have to put that stuff in the description but it has a 265 cam with 22lb springs a GX160 head a billet rod, a billet flywheel, and the Mikuni and the header pipe.
Ok I’m gonna mod mine lol
I just zip tied the governor Much faster I wonder if I’m getting valve float
