@@Black66 what could be my problem I got a 26mm carb with a 115 jet it turns on with choke but want to run 🏃♂️ without choke it idles and runs good
@high5565 😂 I just fixed this problem on my cc100x, all you have to do is adjust your jet turn it right or left until it's perfect for your bike and it will work, hope this helps😊
This is one of the best videos I have ever seen because he explains everything very well and when he's finished you have no more questions
He really is the only one who tells it better than most, which is weird cuz they don’t really have detailed video on how to tune in depth
Black66 has been a big help through every step of my build! Thanks for going into detail on this carb man! Keep it up!
Thanks! Glad I could help. Thanks for watching the videos!
This video saved my Mikuni upgrade project. I was ready to give up but I followed your steps and it’s running great now. Your videos are the best!

I have a 150cc bike that comes with a horrible carb and I have been wanting to get a mikuni carb for it but worried I won’t get it tuned right so I just waited. Came across your video and this is by far the most informative video out of all the ones I’ve been looking at lately, step by step breakdown on what to do. Now I feel confident in buying the carb and tuning it, thanks for this video sir keep up the good work 👍🏼
Thank you , I really appreciate that .
Your a life saver. Black66 is the best mini bike dude out here. Most of the stuff I’ve learned over the past year was bc of him. I appreciate it and you always make the videos fun. Keep it up man
Nice job man. Quick and to the point. Also thanks for giving your altitude, Im in Nevada at about 3900 ft. so that helps me tremendously!!!!

Thanks, man! Ya, I guess that's what it's all about, having fun with them.

Nice to see you teaching the correct way.
Great job !

Im ordering my new main jets and watching this video over and over for tips thank you , i also will be using the throttle tip to help my brother with his delay

This was a very good and to the point video about mikunni tuning! I’ve got a mikunni on the way this week and looking forward to learning some carb tuning. Always good stuff on the BLACK66 channel!👍😀
Thanks! Glad I could help
Wow adjusting that needle really made a difference! Great video
Ya, it did, thanks!
Thank you for a very detailed video , every other videos wouldn’t really show how to hook up fuel line
Awesome quality video! So much great information! Thanks!
Best video on this topic yet, clear and concise wow
Thanks!
Will be doing these exact steps to my mikuni this weeknd
Man thank you!!! I’m new to building go karts and mini bikes and once I switched to mikuni carbs I had no idea how to make it run right. You explained every step clearly. Thank you sir great video
Thanks man! Glad I could help you .
Awesome video, this video has helped me out a lot, thanks for making it.
We've all moved on to flat slides and power jets 😄 I saved my VM for next basket case of discarded parts. Appreciate your efforts as always! Thumbs up
I like going against the grain.
WE have to have fun with this stuff. That's the whole point. Even if I have to use a old Briggs 3.5 horse carb LOL
@@Black66 I got another VM22 from Chi-na because I thought I messed up the float height and didn't want to play with it. Everything was different. Needle jet, main jet, and pilot jet. Even the fuel screw threads. I only got one short ride with the Nibbi flat slide, but it feels nice. I ordered 4 different carbs and there's a brand called "maple" and the quality is unreal for like $30. I stuck with the Nibbi because I had been wanting something real nice.
@@tashatorrid sweet! You know I’ll check that out sooner or later 😀
The best video on these carburetors thank you
Thanks!
You are a life saver, I’ve been scratching my head for the past hour haha
Cant wait until I get my mikuni. Video helps a lot
Thanks! I think it's a good Carburetor for the price.
Hey this is great. Really helped me out. Short and to the point.
thank you I have been waiting 🙌
This is a damn good video.. Your content is under rated. Nice job.
Im not knockin', I just got into mini bikes ( predators ) a few weeks ago as well as a few of my buddies.. we are all just ordering parts left and right for our doodlebugs tryin' to be the fastest. This is the most informative video ive found yet for anything regardless of what its for. Ive also watched nearly all your vids.
Thanks ! Appreciate it .
Thanks for the video. This helps tremendously.
I just like your method of teaching and your voice was easy going.
Thanks!
Thank you for this video I have been searching video after video and none of them were as informative as this one.

Appreciate this man I have little knowledge on these mini bike carbs, helped me a ton!
This video really help me I was really pissed off at others video this is the only one that help me thanks for the awesome video

I love this guy so much. I’m currently building a scooter with the predator 212 and a vm22 carburetor
Thank you so much for this very detailed video I will forever be a subscriber👏🏽
Thanks for subscribing! I hope the videos help you.
I meant to comment on the 99cc tank !! I love um’ room for a lot more engine!! ❤
I got a little more trash than I like in my carb and after I tore it down , vat , u no the works ! I’m getting old and forget full , only thing I did wrong was the stainless washer was on the wrong side of the o ring
Unable to mix right , realized
Correct ed but It won’t mix right . Can’t dial it in. I guess
i damaged something. Runs about like factory ! But I’ve built a lot of performance engines and a few supercross bikes , this little Chinese carb has given me hell ! Lol to stubborn to spend 32$ on another one because I can’t find what the issue is, and think next time I will ! 😂 maybe the love of a challenge!!
I love u videos , you know your stuff ! Much love ! Keep up the good work. Your helping 1000zz ❤
I've been enjoying your videos. Good experiments!

Awesome! Happy it helped?
Thanks brother I’m working on my first Mikuni I was getting ready to give it the 5 pound sledge hammer and then I found your video lol
Oh sweet! LOL
Hey thanks brotha. Will definitely need this soon.
Thanks mate. Really helpful explanation.
Thank you so much for the info. I never knew any of that before. I’m having problems with mine on the 196 cc. This should help me solve it.
I hope it helps.
Thank you… this is my go to channel for mini bikes… I’m waiting for black66 to make a full custom big rim bike 😂 dude has everything else and every part you can think of. I hope gps is sponsoring you or at least Coleman at this point I don’t think any channel is better than yours.
Check out the GPS sponsored video coming out today.
Great video I'm on my fourth carb great video
Great stuff excellent video definitely I'll be doing this 👍😊
Good demo and explanation, thanks…
That's how he does it he did it 💪🏼💯💨💨💨
I just picked up a Coleman CT200U-EX and it's all stock. What specific carb would you recommend for it? PZ22?
Check out the CT200U-EX playlist. I run quite a few different carbs on that bike. The VM22 will work just fine for an inexpensive carb. ua-cam.com/video/jHf9yJmaZLA/v-deo.html
Helped out a lot great video!
Thank you!! Helped my lean issue
Very good explanations!
Nice vid! Just got one of those for my 125cc pit bike.
Nice! Easy carb to tune.
This is the best video ever
Hi I just watched your video on how to tune your Mikuni style carburetor! Thank you so much because you explain everything and leave nothing out including about the Jets great job my friend! Now I have a rather simpler question? What kind of filter do you think works best on these Mikuni carbs? The soft spongy ones like in the video or the K&N style ones? I currently have the exact same set up as you do except I don’t have a Mikuni carb yet but I was Wondering to get the kind of performance you get do you have had work done to your 212 predator engines? And what’s a good sprocket size currently I have a 72 I think it’s dock what came on the doodlebug!
Awsome video very helpful🙌🤟🤙
Great video! I've been binge-watching the Road to Horsepower on Red Beard's Garage channel, and there's an episode where he dyno's 4 different carburetors, including this one. The gains are massive, which means the stock carb is woefully undersized & probably designed for maximum fuel economy. I'm very tempted to grab one of these chikuni vm22's & dial it in!
Thanks! I use the VM22 on a lot of bikes on the channel. Great carb for the price.
Great video!
Thanks! Check out other playlists on the channel. ua-cam.com/video/SaxCCoqJ0RU/v-deo.html
What all do you need to buy to upgrade to one of these carbs? Throttle cable, intake inlet thing? Different jets? Any help or info would be appreciated
So basically the nedal is like a metering rod and it goes threw the jet ? And if so basically with the jets and needle positions u have fine adjustments
Step 1, get it running
Only the real ones get this
@@fadefrees3729mines not starting i need help bro
@@gamingwithjayswag8132try turning the idle screw in to raise it
@@gamingwithjayswag8132play around with the air to fuel ratio screw and idle screw turning in the idle screw makes it idle higher and screwing it out lower and turning the air to fuel ratio screw in makes it get less gas and turning it out more gas
Thanks hopefully now I can get my Tillotson 228r running
228r is going to be a beast!
Brilliant. Appreciate the video
Thanks !
Very informative thank you
Great stuff thanks for your help 😊
Thanks. Did you need to reroute the crankcase vent tube from feeding back into the carb after you installed the UNI filter? Cheers
Very nice ! Thank you.
This is my favorite vid for my vm22 I watch it at least once per week always miss something double check triple check redo
Thanks! It would have been better with the mini bike expert but that's ok😄👍👍👍
Just the video I needed...
Nice video!! I have one problem with my Coleman ct200u ex, when you start the engine, it pulls the throttle open and I don't know how to stop it. Also is there a fuel cut off on the mikuni carb because I have one and don't see it and gas leaks out when I take the bowl out. thanks for the help
Question, when I start my motor, it automatically accelerates without me hitting the throttle. What could be causing that
I got a 196 with 22lb valve springs and s header pipe will be putting a hot 265 cam in it and vm22 soon would you suggest I just put 120 main jet into it when I get it out of the box?
Great Videos. I have an oem vm22 and can’t figure out if the main jet is in the bolt in the bottom or inside the bolt with the rubber o ring on it thanks for any help
Hey I just got one for my 224 and I was doing about 49 with the stock carb and a zip tie gov and an exhaust . Now I’m doing about 44 but it is running good is it because I haven’t done a full gov delete?
Excellent video! What size jet would you recommend for a stock 212? Thanks.
Question just got the mikuni vm22 today. I have coleman 200 with 196 Hisun engine so do I need the fuel line filter from gas tank to mikuni and the clear hose at bottom of mikuni what does that do?
Will these tune setting work for a 90 cc motor with a knock off mikuni ?
Had a question I installed a moly i carb tuna fine but when I give it full throttle it cuts off and I have to let off a bit and it feels fine any help thanks
Good good video will try tmr!u should tune one on 93 get running best then switch to e85 and see how much u have to adjust and swap jets!
Working on the same carb. Dies when I give it full throttle but will Rev out when I give it gas slowly. I'm thinking the main jet is to big. What do you think?
This is on a apollo 125cc. I got to adjust that needle first
Put the same carburetor on my ct200u because of watching your great videos. Have replaced the jet with 115 due to being in Colorado (you said that in another video), Set the screws like you said in this video, I have spark, and still can NOT get the thing to even turn over? Any ideas? Thanks
308 sea level here in fresno California. I have a header pipe and a carburetor like this. I'm having issues with performance with a 115 jet should I go down toa 110? When I try backing out the air fuel screw it either dies or revs to the moon.
would the stock jet work for a predator 212 that doesn’t have any mods on it?
I followed this video on tuning for my carb and it got me a little better. Found out it was running lean. Took out the stock jet and installed a 110jet and not I can not get it to idle off choke at all… I’m at a loss
Watch the follow-up video to this video. This could be the problem. ua-cam.com/video/b5bY-1gIWWk/v-deo.html
I have a question I just put it Mikuni carburetor on my Coleman ct200 it will not stay running?
Hey man, watched your videos for a while, but I'm having issues with a carb that's identical to this one, what should I do?
My bike doesn't like to idle well and whenever I give it throttle it shoots out a cloud of black smoke. I'm running a 120 jet right now and throughout the powerband it runs perfect but whenever it goes back to idle it sounds and smells really rich. Do you know what idle jets these have, and if so which ones should I run?
i just put a new carb on my predator 212 and it’s lugging when i give it a little throttle but as i go a bit faster it clears up would i need a new jet?
Great information 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Hey so when I'm riding my bike. I have a tillotson 225 from go power sports. I only have like 1/4 throttle. When I go past that point it cuts out . When I let off it runs fine again. What do I do. I'm so confused
Installed the same carburetor on my Predator 212 non Hemi. It idles perfect but dies when I give it gas. Is the jet that it comes with it big enough or do I have to go bigger
So you start with the idle screw one and an half turns out and slowly increase to the highest idling point. What about the slide? Where do you start with?
I have a vm22 marked Mikuni from the "sub" factory from Amazon. I'm fixed at the pedal end and I plan to solder a new end on. What total length do I need to make the exposed cable to go into the carburators slide?
About 2 1/4 inch from the bottom of the cap
@@Black66 awesome, saved me some guess work!
I was seriously about to throw this thing in the trash.
You should definitely do a carburetor size comparison and see if there’s a different in carb size for speed and 0-30 or if you have one already send me the link!
Keep up the good work man.
Could you help me with this problem.. My engine won't go off choke when I near off choke with the lever on the carburetor the engine stalls? Have any suggestions?
my bike started up fine just bogged when i would pull throttle i messed with the air fuel lines and idle screw and now it won’t start i check the jets and pilot everything is clean it is getting gas to the carb any ideas?
