Aye you guys were the video I’m really looking for everyone else just rushes through and don’t really explain how to get it done you guys did , thanks you 🤙🏽
I like how you were able to keep the rear fender, it's annoying that every time one of those swaps is done they take off the rear fender. Nice build guys. 🎉
I built the same bike with a 212 torque converter custom motor mount for clearance 420 chains suspension forks and hydraulic brakes. Bad ass ride that pops Willys on command.
I didn't see you do it but there is a throttle restrictor screw on the carb. You need to back that out. If you did do that and I missed it sorry. Otherwise looks like fun, I did the same thing on my CT100U and wow! It goes!! I can hit 45+ on a good stretch of road.
@@isaakm4074he’s not talking about the screw that loosens up the throttle that’s what he did a 10:44 but there’s another screw that only lets the throttle open half way.
So the Coleman frame is the better frame to use besides all the other ones you have to do extra modifications to in order for the engine to fit completely!
You didn’t align the engine properly especially for that bike were the engine sits really far to the right. If you would have flipped the clutch. It would have brought the engine into the center for a much more ideal and mintier build.
I needed a longer chain / 5/16 -24 bolts Had to shave down the plate for the jackshaft and a bushing for the shaft I had to make to space the clutch from the engine for a Baja mb165.
My manual says 1 qaurt but it starts over flowing a little over a half so you gotta Jack the front end up a little to fit the rest? Is this bad I don’t wanna over fill it but it calls for a quart what the actual fudge ?!🤦🏼♂️
Awesome!! Getting my 212 soon! Do you know the size of the bolts to boot in the engine? I wanna see if I can find em off Amazon sense I’m ordering most of my appliances from there
@@ShadowJack4488 getting it in 2 weeks, by then Ill get the extra 50 bucks I need to do it. Thankfully I already have enough for all the other mods I wanna put on it!!
Im about to put a 212 predator in my mini bike. Do I need a engine mounting plate? Whats the benefits of having one? What happens if I dont have one? Any tips are appreciated!
Well on the bike in the video the holes on the motor baseplate just lined up with the holes on the frame but I’m not sure what your minibike frame looks like so your just gonna need to buy a motor and see if it fits and if it doesn’t you can just drill new holes in your frame assuming it doesn’t compromise the frame.
Hey! great video, super helpful as i’m thinking of getting one of these and swapping a 212 into it. would you be able to change the description and link that clutch? i can find the right one in amazon so that would be really helpful. thanks and ride safe bro🤘
Yeah the 212 wasn’t as impressive as I thought with the top speed, I think that really came down to the fact we didn’t change the sprockets and could’ve gotten a lot more speed with a re gear but the torque that we got was awesome. We couldn’t go uphill with the 99cc but we’re both 200lb dudes
Everything is base off of gearing. The Coleman has a 75 tooth rear sprocket and 12 tooth clutch. So around 40 mph top speed it correct combine with decent torque. If you want more mph change the rear sprocket to something smaller like 50-60. But you’ll loose torque.
That’s the frame we had specifically but basically any minibike will be very similar in layout so as long as the frame has a big enough opening you should be able to swap no problem
Has anybody run into the problem where the motor just doesn’t start at all? I’ve installed it on my bike, put gas in, it’s got oil and the power switch is on. I’m going crazy trying to figure out what’s going on
I blew up my 98cc the other day and this convinced me to get a 212, great video guys cant wait to get one and start riding again!
i just did the same exact thing and went to harbor freight the same day and now i have a 212 in my room
can we pls get an update?

You can buy a mounting plate to make it fit in the middle instead of the right side
10 months and the same engine is now $150... ridiculous

Yup I just bought one the other day lol. Still not a bad deal I feel like
I’m buying one today
About 200$ on Amazon right now

I laughed at the light I did all of this with the kids when they got them for Christmas
Can u make a video of zip tieing the governor tysm
Just got the 212 at harbor freight for 90$, huge Christmas sale.
Sweet deal
Should flip the clutch and drill new motor mount holes so it doesn't hang off the side

What are the measurements of the frame so the engine can fit better?
What size screw did you use to screw on the clutch?
Did you ever find out?
Hi bro I got a frp mini bike if I swap the motor will I need to swap the clutch also??
I’m wondering same thing let me know if I figure it out
Did it come with the motor mount bolts
No we bought some hardware

Ok I just added the link to the clutch that should work.
@@jakeandcameron7022 Thanks bro!
Do you need a new clutch? Or can you take the one off your stock one
Yes the stock clutch uses a 5/8th drive shaft out of the motor and the predator uses a 3/4 in shaft so you will need to buy a different clutch
why not take the governor off?
To completely remove it you have to open the case And we thought that was too much work for too similar of a result
cant use the same chain im like 5 links off i have the same bike same engine
Did you use the stock chain?
Oh, my 99 cc goes 45 mph. I was thinking about getting a 212. I’m not sure anymore. maybe they’re just fat.

Take off Coleman sprocket and chain there junk and I had problems after my swap
Can I get a link for the clutch ?
link to the clutch?????
Don’t have a link anymore but there are a ton of options on Amazon that are all basically identical
Hey where did you get the clutch? And how'd you get the key off?
Ordered the clutch off amazon and just knocked the key out with a hammer and punch
Does this only work on a cc100x?

Make sure the air filter does not have any plastic cover or something blocking the air box, also make sure the coil is connected to the plug
But other than that you might just have a dud :/
