Sometimes the need for anti depressants is temporary and sometimes people need it for life. Probably because some depression is caused by external factors and sometimes there is an actual inherited brain chemistry problem. Just because one person was able to stop their medication doesn't mean everyone can. People shouldn't feel bad if they are among the ones who can't get well doing what you are doing. It's great for those who can but there is great danger in stopping when you shouldn't. No one should feel bad for needing help in the form of anti depressants.
