Cora From UA-cam I was on EffexorXR and it was a horrible experience. My doc bridged with Prozac to hep me wean off to lower the withdrawal symptoms. I gained a lot of weight on EffexorXR/Prozac, so I’ve been curious about Wellbutrin. I need motivation, weight loss, and feeling less depressed. I’m concerned about the insomnia, though.

Cora From UA-cam Hi Cora? Thank you for this & sharing hour story :) please could you let me know if you are still active on you tube? I only just found your video after it was suggested to me to take olanzapine by my doctor & after researching it i was horrified by the reviews :( I discussed my fears with a friend who had taken it in the past for 5 months for severe depression & It made her very sick, did not work, she put on 50lbs which she has been unable to lose since stopping it. She was changed to Wellbutrin XR 150mg & is doing well so far (a few months in) no more sleeping all the time) and suggested i ask my doctor not to give me Olanzapine but to request to try Wellbutrin instead. Please could you give me your personal opinion on your journey with it before you began Prozac? I cannot take Prozac ssri due to allergy to it(serotonin syndrome or maybe just problem with fluoxitine meds) i’d be really grateful to you if you could help just by sharing? Thank you :) 🤞😘

Totally agree with you on everything! Especially people reaching out. Just had two people message me that I haven't spoke to in a long time. I think something very strange is going on in the world which we'll never understand. Reality could be purely a subconscious thing and having a dark cloud over us only makes that experience worse. This happened the last time I was on this medication too. Glad you're feeling better. I enjoyed watching your video 👌🏽

Thank you for sharing your story. I am glad it is helping you. I started Wellbutrin about 2 weeks ago, and it has been helping a bit. I have noticed some side effects, which my Doctor said would go away within the first few weeks of taking the med: Heart palpations, shaking, has been making my anxiety worse, and also being emotionally heighten. (feeling really happy, or really angry). It also effects me, and how I present myself. The pros is that I am feel more attentive and focused. My brain fog is still there but weakening. I really hope these side effects go away. Apparently it takes at least a month to work.

Life_in_RealTime Well, I'm on day 3 on Wellbutrin now and I still haven't felt any effects from the drug. Yesterday I cried again. I'm a 36 year old guy, BTW. I know it's still too early and I'm very optimistic about it. The most important thing is that now I know what's wrong with me. I didn't know I was depressed and didn't suspect it until psychiatrist told me. It feels great to have this support community! Your holding yourself back from springing eye leaks! lol Im glad your feeling better and I too hope to feel better one day.. please let this stuff work and help me get motivated and focused in school. Im 28 and ive never taken medication. I always though depression and adhd were just bullshit.. but it isnt. And if this stuff helps me get my life back ill be so happy. I watched your vid cause I wanted to see what it would do to me.. sounds to me like you have part of your life back. Thats what I need.

Your doggie really appreciates you taking the Wellbutrin. It really depresses the poor little guys when mommy or daddy are sad. My little buddy Warphead used to worry about his daddy a lot. They want to help but they do not know what to do but to patiently stay by your side.
The most important thing in your life Cora is realizing that you do not need a significant other nor do you need an audience in which to seek their approval. You can make it on your own and in the end Cora approving of, liking, respecting, appreciating and loving Cora is the most important thing. If you can do that everything else will fall into place. People seeking love, approval, respect, etc. are some of the biggest reasons that cause bad feelings (depression, loneliness, failure) in those people. The moment that a person understands and ACCEPTS that what others think of them is not the purpose of their lives is the moment they are liberated to be who they are, not what they believe others want them to be. If you find that special person in life then great. If you find out that who you thought was that special person turns out to not be that special after all then great. Better to know sooner than later. You are a beautiful young lady Cora and let no one make you feel otherwise, especially Cora.

Life_in_RealTime I'm doing a lot better, I've been on it for almost 3 weeks now, most days are good, still have a few bad days but mostly good. It has definitely motivated me to do everyday tasks that I just couldn't do with my depression. I've really had a hard time sleeping but I hope it will pass. I've been playing with my kids more and slowly going out of the house more. I'm very happy to be on this because I feel like it saved my life, considering how down I was feeling everyday, thinking back before I started it, I felt like I couldn't go another day. I've always been overwhelmed by life. No drive, no career, no will. Hindered by me. Always felt like something was holding me back from reaching my full potential. I've always know that I'm a talented very intelligent individual but every task, idea, career path, dream, you name it, I started it but never was able to get it done. I'd give up. That's been the story of my life. In school I performed poorly, bad grades, saw no purpose in it. I always wondered why am I the way I am? I tried religion for years (I thought it was Satan, and his minions keeping me from becoming what I was intended to be. Religion would only give me a boost and then I'd be bake at the same place. No focus, forgetful, couldn't concentrate, at new jobs I'd try so hard to do my best but again, I was overwhelmed. I always questioned my purpose in this life. There is so much I can share! But now the good news.
I couldn't take it anymore. I concluded that I had. "Always had" all the symptoms of ADHD. So I....

Today is day 15. I can tell a very subtle difference. I feel like when I have a good day its a great day, but when its a bad day its a really bad day. I think this is probably a good sign because eventually (6 weeks in or so) I should start to have good days a lot more often. The first week I was starving....like right after eating a meal and more hungry than before kind of starving...but that passed after a couple of days. Now I feel like Im starting to enter the "super emotional" 3rd week of Wellbutrin. I feel like parts of my brain are feeling again and thats a difficult but eventually good thing. How are you feeling at 6 weeks?

I fell into a deep depression when my girlfriend passed away. I didn't cry when it happened and I just became super "productive" / busy with my work but after a month of it I just broke down. My doctor prescribed me Wellbutrin and it worked well for a while. But the agitation and anxiety wasn't worth it so I stopped it. I decided the natural way and it worked well for me. No sugars, a lot less carbs, daily exercise and meditation. It worked wonders for me. I have been out of Wellbutrin for about a year now. The medication helped me get out of that deep hole I was in but I don't see it as a lifelong solution.

I found this video while I was searching for peoples' Wellbutrin experience stories after deciding it was time to deal with my so far four year battle with depression (long story I'm sure I'll tell in a video when I feel like doing stuff again). I took Wellbutrin (for depression) and Ritalin (for ADHD) when I was in high school. I don't remember why I stopped taking Wellbutrin, but I remember Ritalin never felt right without it. In 2004, at age 24, I tried Strattera and it worked, but I had the same nausea problem you talked about. It was only just today that I learned Wellbutrin uses the same mechanism Strattera does and has been prescribed for ADHD for over a decade. As I write this, my doctor appointment is 15 hours away and he's the same doctor who gave me Wellbutrin as a teen. I can hardly believe my luck as he's retiring in a few months. Thank you so much for posting your experience. I'll be watching your other Wellbutrin videos for sure.

Thanks for sharing your experience with Wellburtin. I took care of my dad who had liver cancer for 9 years and it destroyed me. I had to get on Lexapro for years and that also killed me. It took away my drive to live. I didn't notice what that was until recently. The zero drive to do anything is called depression. Again, thanks for sharing.

I've been on a couple different anti-anxiety and anti-depression medications in the past that haven't worked for me, so I've decided to try Wellbutrin and plan to take my first dose tomorrow. This was SO informative and helpful, so thank you very much for sharing your experience and results. I assure you, it is MUCH appreciated. :)

I've been taking Wellbutrin 1 week now. I haven't felt much side effects (I think), maybe sometimes a bit dry mouth, little dizziness. What I'd like to ask you, after how long you felt that things improved? After 4 weeks, or sooner already?

Thank you so much for this video. I’ve been really depressed for many years and it’s gotten much worse in the last few months so my doctor has put me on 150 mg of Wellbutrin. I haven’t started it yet, but this is giving me the courage to do so. I have all the classic signs of depression as well as some anxiety, but I haven’t been able to tolerate most antidepressants because they make me very nauseous and my doctor said that this was my best bet. Thank you again. Hoping for the best.

Sought help and made an appointment with my local psychiatrist at my local clinic. I told her the story of my life. To make make a Long story short she prescribed me bupropion, 150ml SR
My attention deficit was so bad, that it kicked in just 2 hour after taking it, " I remember I took it last Saturday around 1pm." Two hours later, I started a conversation with a man. We talked for about an hour, and there was something different, I, for the first time in my life was able to focus pay attention! I only wish I had sought help or been treated when I was younger. I am now 35, and wonder where I would be if I had addressed this problem earlier in my life.
I have focus, "still a forgetful at times " wake up refreshed, I sleep better, at work, whatever was holding be back in the past, it's gone, I'm productive, don't get sleepy at work or feel tired. I only wanna do my job and do it better than anybody else. No side effects whatsoever. I'm content.

Also - don't worry about the 'what ifs' because they don't matter! What matters is what is relevant NOW! :) You are doing something to better yourself, and that's what important. :)

+Something_New I feel you girl, nevertheless becoming dependent and the thought of maybe needing a higher dosage in the near future concerns me and saddens me. I just read a few articles about addiction to it, (although I assume they took it for depression) I've noticed that I wake up early "7am" since the second day to take my pill.

+Life_in_RealTime Hi. Just wanted to share that as far as treating my ADHD it only worked for 2 weeks or so. I still take take the one pill in the morning. 150ml SR. I do feel it's doing something. Maybe helping my depression. I told my sychiatrist but she didn't t wanna prescriber anything else. She said I had to go to therapy and do lifestyle chances. What do you think. I'm thinking about seeing another sychiatrist.

Just stumbled across your videos and subscribed 😊
Really late to the game here as it's 6 years after you posted this but...I've been holding onto this prescription (150MG SR version) for about a year and so scared to start it. I would use it for depression, anxiety, weight loss and smoking. I have been so concerned about the negative side effects that it's stopped me from wanting to
even start it. I am worried about the heightened anxiety (don't think I'd be able to handle that honestly), the headaches, nausea etc. it's so hard to know what side effects you'll experience since everyone's different. I'm just so nervous about it. I guess just hoping for some
reassurance or to chat with others in the same boat. Thanks for your video 💜

Morning three on 100 mg generic wellbutrin. tomarrow I start taking it twice daily. Prescribed for possibly ADD. Age 37 and been a single parent for the last three and have failed a LOT. Co worker suggested I read up an ADD. Talked to my doc and she was skeptical. I'm happy with it so far and was watching ur video to hear abt ur experience. Thank you so very much for sharing. I'm carryong my entire family, everything depends on me. Failure is not an option. was terrified to gamble with the worst side effects and spiral out of control etc. so far so good!!

i got prescribed wellbutrin 3 days ago & decided to take it tomorrow. i found out a year ago I PCOS (polyocistic ovarian syndrome) & ever since then i have been getting worse & worse. I have been isolating myself, binge eating, gaining weight, anxiety, NO motivation. I have tried everything natural because i try to live as holistically as posible but for some reason i would always fail after a couple weeks. Which is really hard and upsetting. i have never taking an antidepressent or what my family likes to call 'brain pills' before but im at my whits end & am willing to try anything to feel like my healthy happy self again. Im not gonna lie im still a little hesitant & nervous to start taking them tomorrow but after watching your video im a little more calm & look forward to seeing a hopeful change in myself. thank you for the informative video. appreciate this
