- The Oakland County Child Killer (OCCK) is an unidentified serial killer responsible for the murders of four or more children, two girls and two boys, in Oakland County, Michigan in 1976 and 1977. Several theories and suspects have been named in the case, but despite all these theories, the cases remain unsolved and the killer(s) have never been identified.
Theodore Robert Bundy (born Theodore Robert Cowell; November 24, 1946 - January 24, 1989) was an American serial killer, kidnapper, rapist, burglar, and necrophile who assaulted and murdered numerous young women and girls during the 1970s and possibly earlier. Shortly before his execution and after more than a decade of denials, he confessed to 30 homicides that he committed in seven states between 1974 and 1978. The true victim count is unknown and could be much higher than the number to which Bundy confessed.
Many of Bundy's young female victims regarded him as handsome and charismatic, which were traits that he exploited to win their trust. He would typically approach them in public places, feigning injury or disability, or impersonating an authority figure, before overpowering and assaulting them at more secluded locations. He sometimes revisited his secondary crime scenes for hours at a time, grooming and performing sexual acts with the decomposing corpses until putrefaction and destruction by wild animals made further interaction impossible. He decapitated at least 12 of his victims, and for a period of time, he kept some of the severed heads as mementos in his apartment. On a few occasions, he simply broke into dwellings at night and bludgeoned his victims as they slept.
In 1975, Bundy went to jail for the first time when he was incarcerated in Utah for aggravated kidnapping and attempted criminal assault. He then became a suspect in a progressively longer list of unsolved homicides in multiple states. Facing murder charges in Colorado, he engineered two dramatic escapes and committed further assaults, including three murders, before his ultimate recapture in Florida in 1978. For the Florida homicides, he received three death sentences in two separate trials.
Bundy was executed in the electric chair at Florida State Prison on January 24, 1989. Biographer Ann Rule described him as "a sadistic sociopath who took pleasure from another human's pain and the control he had over his victims, to the point of death, and even after". He once called himself "the most cold-hearted son of a bitch you'll ever meet"; Attorney Polly Nelson-a member of his last defense team-wrote: "Ted was the very definition of heartless evil."

I think it was a pedophile ring because they were kept for awhile and cleaned up before they were dumped, they were kept warm and fed , these sick SOB , the one boys father wouldn’t give up on uncovering the truth all the way to his death. So sad ..

Wow, that last 12 yr old victim was murdered on Feb 9, 1978 and I am watching this for the first time on Feb 9, 2023, 45 yrs after her murder.

Thankful Judge Cowart allowed cameras in the courtroom to record this history. People then and now have a right to view this trial and see for themselves.
Where is the conclusion/ solving of the michigan murders?
They haven't solved this officially but unofficially they think they have and it's men part of a pedophile operation.

actually, I thought that was a good idea. He was making the child a person with people who love him and teams that need him. Who knows? The murderer could've played basketball when he was younger and that little detail could've been the thing that stopped him from killing the child. A relatable thing in common.

He’s trying to humanize him. Make him seem like a normal little boy, with a normal life and remind other people and the perp that the victim is a person. Parents/police will often do that when a kid is missing. They’ll mention their favorite toys, upcoming events they were excited about, their hobbies, a fun memory, etc. The idea is to humanize the child for whoever has taken them. They’re appealing to any small sense of empathy and humanity the perp may have. You’ll notice parents/police will also say the child’s name multiple times, and again, this humanizes them and essentially reminds the perp “you’ve taken a person. A person with their own thoughts, feelings, experiences…”. But again it can also humanize the child for the public. Have you ever watched a true crime thing, or something on the news about someone being murdered/kidnapped, and they’ve said something about the victim that made you go “wow, that’s just like me” or “that reminds me of myself”? That was intentional. They want you to remember that the victim is a human being, just like you. So it’s really not that strange, it’s a common tactic.
