GUARD RAILS OPTIONAL Maddie and Joe's Motorcycle Journey Day 5. Pikes Peak and US-50 to Ouray, CO.

On day 5 of out trip we started the day in Manitu Springs, CO. and rode up the Pike's Peak Toll Road. Then after a not so wonderful vegan breakfast we took US-50 across the state to Ouray to set us up for the Million Dollar Highway in the morning.

I rode my Zuma 125 to pikes peak from Dallas back in June. They had the road blocked at 12000’ because of ice. My little 8hp scooter didn’t go much over 15mph full throttle up the mountain. I rode 2031 Miles in 4 days and slept on the side of the road. Somehow I made it home with 21 nails in my tires. It was awesome!
