Riding up Pikes Peak. It is so much colder than you think!.. oh and lightning storms...

- I finally got some good video riding up Pikes Peak (third try!) and it was awesome, the weather at the summit... not so much... snow and lightning. Fantastic. We had a good ride tho. Check out the video and ask questions and stuff so I can afford to just ride all the time. It's kind of a life goal.

@charliestoybox2099 PP is a fool place to go, if you get out that way definitely do Mt. Blue Sky, it's even cooler. There is a video about one too.
Looks like ya'll couldve jogged faster then the cruiser guys in front of ya. lol Amazing looking ride though.
Yeah things got a bit.... slow toward the top but low lean angles and big curves will do that everytime. Haha. It's a lot of fun to go up there.
Just rode up there last month. Kept getting stuck in a line of cars on the way up because people wouldn't pull off to let people that weren't scared pass. They were checking brakes on the way down but just waved me through.
Never been up to Pikes Peak but I have gone up Mt Evens(sorry don't know the new name) its only about 100' higher but it wasn't that cold up there and I didn't see many more then 50 vehicles the whole time, I was the only motorcyclist. first or second week in Sept. Next time I'm in CO I'll have to make it a point to go up there, looks more scenic.
Mt blue sky is the new name.
Pikes is a better road and has the gift shop/restaurant at the top. There is nothing really on top of mt blue sky but it's more fun I think.
