My 2022 GT Aggressor Pro (Matte Black) was bought in July and I have upgraded a lot of it already. I have mine at what I consider Stage II, with Stage III having an air shock installed. My upgrades so far: -Continental Mountain King tires 27.5 x 2.3 and Continental 182311 inner tubes on both rims. (On the first trail ride, a day after buying the bike, my back tire got punctured and popped. This left me a 6 mile walk home holding the bike up!) **First and forced upgrade** -Microshift Advent X drivetrain, just arrived and installed 2 days ago -IXF crankset upgraded with a real Shimano Deore XT MT-800 Hollowtech II bottom bracket -JGbike Elite oval 34T 104BCD chainring -KMC X11 chain -Risk sealed bearing headset -Wake stem 31.8mm -Wake 720mm aluminum alloy handlebars -Rockbros pedals with metal cleats -Rockbros locking hand grips -Raceface chainstay pad I will get the air shock next, likely going with a Rockshox Judy (but still looking at my options). I will also get some Maxxis Minion tires (tubeless conversion), better brakes, different grips, and some riser handlebars. The Advent X 10-speed 1x10 conversion, Hollowtech II, IXF crank, oval chainring, and pedals are the biggest upgrades and really upped the performance and brought down the weight. The shock will make a huge difference too, I am sure. I love my GT but it took some money and effort to get it to where it is.
Heybrother, thanks for the commentman, it sounds like you have got hell of a rode there!! LOL Hope the decision on a fork goes well, we love our rockshox!
I'm a roadie road mountain bikes when I was a kid did that build on that ibex it started doing trail riding again these days I've been doing more mountain biking then road thank you for the compliment on my bike by the way God bless y'all have a good day
appreciate the shout out fellas i love my 35mm bars il never go back lol and the tick nailed it 35mm bars are for riders with those boulder shoulders lol
Congrats on your 15K!!! I took an old tube and put three black zip ties on it for a chainstay protector. Budget!!! Some people have asked me where I bought it. It works well.
Man that's an awesome hack!! Thanks for the 15k congrats and it's nice to have you around Al, much live and hope you some good riding in this season with those suntours brother!!
Hell Yeah...glad to here Viewer Rides are coming back...been here watching every video for a couple years now, said it before...a cup of coffee and a Wolftick video my favorite way to start the day...I guess I'll have to send in pics of my 2020 Axum non DP with a DP(X-Fusion Trace), try an get on viewer rides...keep up the good work guys!
Next time you go tubeless (if you do.. that is) set the bead on the tire BEFORE you put the sealant in. Once it's set it's set unless you man handle it off. Then take the valve core out and put sealant in with that plunger and tube. Re-install valve core, pump it up and Bob's your uncle. Soapy water can help with sticky tires that don't want to set bead easily too. Oh and don't forget to put the lid back on your sealant LOL

@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS Thank you. We have 1 quick question. Can we use the MicroShift cassette you recommend with our current 8speed Derailure, chain, and shifter? We would like to see the range of this cassette before we go "ALL IN"!
Hey brother, now I hate to break the bad news but you will not be able to use your setup with the Acolyte 46T cassette:( The derailleur does not have the length....
Love your channel, been subscribed since around a month after I bought my GT Aggressor Pro in 2021. I didn’t think there was much I could upgrade on that bike but after watching you guys I went to town and I love how the bike is turning out, it’s not done yet. I think this month I’m putting a Rockshox Judy Silver TK on the front and I’m hoping it makes a big difference with the longer travel. Keep it up dudes!
Well thank you so much for being here brother, love the subs and welcome (officially) to the #wolfticknation!! Now finish up that ride and send some pics out way for a possible viewers rides!! viewersrides@yahoo.com
The Rockshox Judy is the direction I’d like to go in as well. Other than 27.5, is there anything else I need to look for as far as compatibility? Are the non tapered steering head tubes a universal diameter. I realize it may need to be trimmed down to match the stock length….
I've been busier than a cat on a tin roof since getting back home from Oklahoma. I was happy to see you have uploaded a new video! The GT is such a cool bike. Nice to see it again. BTW, I also rarely get flats out there, unless I under inflate my tires, then I end up with pinch flats. I once split a tube down a seam. That led to a long walk home. I carry a spare tube now, even when running tubeless.
I really appreciate the budget products you review I bought a boundary for my birthday after watching your video and I will use your videos to upgrade it as soon as I can afford to thank you for what you do
Man thank youn for being here and welcome to the #wolfticknation!! We were trying make a comeback with the budget Boundary last week!! Good luck and let us know if you need any links man.
I really like MicroShifts products. I put the Advent 9 speed drivetrain on my Mongoose Switchback Comp 26er. It replaced a Sunrace 8 speed cassette and a Shimano 8 speed Altus rear derailleur. I went with the Mircroshift Solid Steel Alloy cassette they offer. It is a heavier cassette, but I wanted the extra weight on the rear as it is a hardtail. I was immediately stoked on the quality difference when comparing the factory parts to Microshifts parts. Night and Day on quality. The shifting is smoother. The clutch on the Advent derailleur works great. I haven't dropped chain yet. The advent shifter is nice and works as advertised. The only plastic parts on the derailleur are the jockey wheels and the switch for the clutch. You can swap out jockey wheels for alloy. Every thing else is alloy. The shifter clamp is metal but the rest of the shifter housing is plastic. Witch to me is not a problem. The real reasons I went with Microshift are: 1: Budget friendly compared to other brands with comparable quality. 2: Microshift designed it to be very durable and tough. I had to buy new WTB SX19 26'' rims with Novatec hubs. Continental Race King tires. Muc-Off valves. I basically stripped the bike down to the frame. Replaced everything except the head cups and head tube bearings. Sanded the frame down and repainted it. Now I'm just waiting on the 2k clearcoat to come in the mail so I can finish the paint job. Then my 3 year old nephew is going to help me put it all back together. I think he's more excited about building it up than I am. Its going to be awesome. Anyways, I love the vids. keep up the good work and most importantly, Have FUN while you do it.
DUDE!! Sounds like hell.of a build! Please send us some pics when done. Would love to see her and possibly show her to the nation. Thanks for watching brother 🙏
I’ll be getting mine this week And I’ve been watching your videos for the last 2 months almost every day doing all my homework on this build….I hope you both keep making videos…mine will be coming out as well
Big 220 lb riders here. Only quirk about the ixf crankset isn't actually about the cranks themselves. The bb wears out pretty quickly. The cranks are great. The set we have here has been on 3 different bikes and they've stood the test of time. Pedal and rock strikes and a decent amount of jumps. They're still not bent and as stiff as ever. The cranks themselves are tough. The bb is the weak point in that setup. So far we're trying out a Zrace crankset (Z-race Hardrock) they're pretty great too. The bb seems to be of a much better quality. I'd recommend maybe trying out that bb instead if anyone here is having trouble with the one with their ixf
Good points man, we have not had that problem personally but very interesting to say the least. Also good point with not bending and taking strikes well. Thanks Travis
I have been watching the channel since you guys took the GT out on Bluejay in stock form and it’s still one of my favorite bikes. It’s hard to not love the bike that started it all man. I will send over a pic of the full squish “CHEECH” for the viewers rides lol.
I tried to go tubeless on my GT Agressor Pro and could never get the tire to seat. I was having weekly flats due to mesquite thorns and my son finally bought me Tannus Tire Inserts and I have not had a flat since. I can definitely feel the extra weight at the wheels...guess it will just make me stronger in the long run. Thanks for the GT update.
It's cool to see viewers rides coming back. Although my bike collection doesn't really qualify as budget since the frames are all 18+ yrs old or older and cost over $1000 each when new. Granted I picked most of them up used for WAY less than that. They were all dream bikes for me when new.
You guys are great! I bought a gt aggressor pro after I gained weight after a serious surgery and surpassed what my 90's Cannondale suspension could handle. Your upgrade videos have helped me get my bike to the point where I love riding it. Keep up the good work!
You guys should've received something yesterday that looks like the 80s, it's for project gummy worm but I really think all of wolftick nation needs to see it
Man it is right here between my legs!! LOL I know that sounds very strange but it's true!! Looking forward to it and based on the tape on the outside of the box, it looks totally BERSERKER!!!🤘🤘🤘
Ive made a list of upgrades I've done to my aggressor pro. After seeing this channel I couldn't resist haha Shimano MT200 disc brake set with rotors Tranz-X dropper post RockShox Judy Silver TK fork FSA headset Lizard Skins grips Headset spacer set Maxxis Rekon 3c 2.6 maxx terra exo Saddle from local bike shop Wake stem SRAM 8 speed chain IXF Crank Arm set/bottom bracket MUQZI Chain guide Deckas narrow wide chainring FOOKER pedals UPANBIKE Riser handlebar Metal Ceramic brake pads
Yesss! Viewers rides is coming back! (still makes me laugh 😂) love that section. Great round up on the aggressor, I think it's my favourite bike on the channel. I'm a big fan of the Ixf chainset, never had any issues with mine and oval chainring definitely make a difference! Great video guys, take care 😎🍺👍
I like the ovals. Saw a study showing they helped on climbs but we’re not as good on flats. So yes. I would not use them for road riding but they are good for mountain biking where there is a lot of climbing.
I have cush core & tubeless on my 2021 trek slash 07 & I run 18pis in the back & 16psi in the front & I weight 168lbs. Cush core protects your rims from damage. I get really good grip & have not had flat in 2 years.
Personally I've not had any problems with my IXF crankset. i did see a video that showed that the ball bearings in the sealed bearings aren't greased and a bunch of people confirmed it. I was going to check if the ball bearings in mine were greased but figured i'm not having any problems with it so if it ain't broke don't try to fix it. That's great news you guys are bringing back viewers rides. I'll be sending you guys a email later today definitely, with the new RSA headset and some better Rockshox decals on my Rockshox fork. I'm at the point now where I can't really think of anymore upgrades, but maybe I'll get a RaceFace Chester handlebar as long as it fits.
LOK Man please send some pics and we are looking forward to it!! The Chester's are 35 so you will need the stem as well, checkout the affiliate links man. 😀
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS darn that sucks, it looks like the only RaceFace bars in 31.8 is the Atlas and i"m not ready to spend $80 on handlebars, and also not ready to give up my $100 RaceFace Atlas stem to get $45 handlebars, lol.
My current bike came with tubes which I killed on the first day. Went fully tubeless after that and not a flat since in 11 months and 3 more tyres. I couldn't afford to ride WITH tubes where I live as pick thorns and goats heads from between my knobs on a weekly basis. But i agree with the inflation thing, Sometimes i can get it pumped up with a hand pump but i found a cheap compressor on marketplace (one of the best tools in my workshop) to make it all easier.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I'm not saying go all tubeless. Just that if you have 1 bike, it can be less hassle/sometimes cheaper to have LBS do it (would of had K do it but between his shoulder and finger, well, he's getting old!!)
The play lists are great, going through all your videos is worth it but I like just going to the specific list since I have a short attention... Squirrel...
I run a ghetto tubeless setup. I just remove the valve stem from a tube and fill it with sealant. I am not a weight weenie, so I don't care about the less than 1 pound it might add. I don't have to worry about a tubeless ready wheel or rim tape or tubeless valve stems. I have not had any issues with this setup.
nice i picked this up at a yard sale for 100. its in good shape. but, my wife and friend who works at a lbs think its a money pit and not worth upgrading. looks like a solid bike to upgrade.
I have race face peddles, those little screws will slice you open lol but they do grip really well I like them a lot. I did just destroy a tube in my rear wheel though cause I rode up a stair set going too fast and now I'm looking into rebuilding my rear wheel and running tubeless with a better rim and foam inserts
Man I have learned so much off this channel watching what your doing and how your doing it man it’s awesome to be subscribed to a channel with this much user friendly content for people that can’t afford a $7000 mountain bike. I’m really needing a recommendation on a fork for my xr pro I’m getting ready to convert to a 1x11 and a fork and it will be done I just need some suggestions PLEASE!!!
Yes sir, youbare very welcome and thank you for watching and showing some love man. Now you know we do not recommend but I like the suggestion lol. Let's say we were hot and bothered to buy a fork for our xr pro and had to keep it budget....AFFILIATE LINKS !! amzn.to/3L8hKom amzn.to/3xMnyQu GOOD LUCK BROTHER!
Watched all 6 of the upgrade update videos, appreciate all the knowledge you guys have shared throughout the build. I'm stoked to upgrade over time in-between surfing (boards are expensive) & traveling (this too). My one question is should I shop online or shop local? There's a good amount of shops around where I live.
Hey brother, thanks for the comment and the love man. Now regarding the question...That's a hard one, if you want to go budget, it would be easier to order yourself...But shops need love too...?? I would order my stuff then have a shop install👍 Best of both worlds
You guys are rock stars! I have been watching for a while, thank you for all of your feedback and tutorials! Question for you, i just purchased the deckas chainring to go from 3x8 to 1x8... Do I need a Chain guide, do you experience any chain drops or slaps?
Hey brother thank you for the comment man. Now I would get a chainstay protector before I put a chain guide on there. Just remember to shorten using our video!! LOL 😉 OH BE SURE TO BUY A MASTERLINK! GOOD LUCK MAN
I think the only reason to go tubeless is to run low pressure. I run mine at 30 upfront and 34 rear, I'm a heavy rider (250 pounds) and I have yet to have any issues with flats or losing the bead.
Head set looked great but that cap and bolt, would like 2 get more info on this, like what did u use on the inside, the cheap looking nut set up was the reason I brought it back
Hey brother, now the inside??? Maybe the star Nutt? I used a star nut setter and as for the top cap and it not being tight from factory i bought spacers 👍 Thanks for the comment and here is an affiliate link to a great tool!! amzn.to/3VsHAIA
Not all 35 mm bars will be the same, but yes most alloy bars will be harsher. But I had a 35mm race face sixc35 carbon bar which had more flex than any bar I've tried before, it was well damper, controlled, stable, predictable. On big hits it did a great job damping the impacts but also small hits. It was definitely the bar not the stem, as I had Atlas stem, then rental Apex 35. But I needed a taller bar, so I searched and eventually contacted a retailer they had 38mm alloy Burgtec ride high 38 bar so went for it, it was much harsher on big hits, not damped feel like the sixc, it was very noticible, I guess the bar you tried there is similar feeling. This was the only thing I could find at the time, and I looked a International retailers too, I could not find any high enough riser bar that would fit me or would look good. But things are better now, the handlebar shortage was crazy. Unless you wanted green race face aixc35 in 20mm rise in 800mm width which was what I had and sold, for some reason the retailer Bikeshop had it in stock for low price, probably got a good deal on it somehow. I might try other bars. But this ba ri a higher rise would perform well. But I might try other brands.
I had 28 punctures in a month years ago. 😁 It would be mad for me to continue like that. I know you can use sealant but some sealants will hlog up the tube, I've not experimented with tube spesific sealant sor my current choice of sealant, but I use Cush Core so I use tubeless anyway.
Xfusion released electronic dropper post, I saw pics from Sea Otter. But they also released 3 new forks. So they defenitly are still developing and producing stuff. But it's still one of the lesser known brands. I've not had a chance to try any X Fusion stuff. It uses regular batteries and can be easily changed I read.
I have two builds with ixf cranksets and they have been great.... however strangely neither came with a BB even though I payed for it 🤔. No worries I went to my local bike shop and got some nice Shimano ones
Great Show and can't wait to see you two make NetFlix!!!!! ja ja ja ja ja Salute and keep up the Great work! Wolfman We OLD MEN have to stay Dangerous! OORAH ja ja ja ja
Hey good video man! I’m learning a lot about these bikes. How’s the gearing on the bike now? Is it faster than stock on high gear? I want to get rid of the stock gearing on the bike it’s too much going on just want to switch gears on one side
Thanks brother, glad you are learning. Gearing is wonderful and since going to a 1x it really helps with the weight. The before was a 34t for climbing and now it is a 46t. I would say it is faster than the original GT and a lot quieter!! If you ever need some links please ask. In a new comment 👍
Like 👍 the GT bike 🚴 the best bike you have I broke my crankset twice I like race face Pedals grips Handlebars cranks set steam tubeless use gorilla tape
Your new peddles there. The pins look quite short. I'm still enjoying my Shimano aluminum peddles. 3/8 inch pins. They stick nicely to my flat shoes. Lol But what size pins are available for the Rock Bros peddles?
I have that same group set on my ibex asta 07 pro I love it mine has to chain stay and is a 11x48 I have a 32 tooth chain ring on front and it's a 26er
hey guys, I can't wait to send my viewers ride in!! Question though do you guys want a new project frame? Its a downhill bike 2006 gemini 2000 w rearshock? Ill send it for free if you will give it home but if not ill build it up an sell to a new guy for a meal lol
Hey brother!! It's the man with the best Deals Around!! LOL Thank you so much for the offer man, very cool of you to do so but I think we may be good. We have that Ardor frame we bought and it has got to be a build first, but man that's awesome of you!! Looked it up and that's a sweet looking bike man, good luck with the sale. And yes, please send some pics for sure add your mailing so we can send you some stickers!! Later brother
I have a stock get aggressor pro and would like to upgrade a few things over time and enjoy watching your videos but was curious where I can find all the specs so I know what sizes to order. I definitely want to upgrade the stem because current one causes me to lean over to far so what size would work to bring it closer to me with keeping same handle bar for now.
Viewers rides email address, gt updates thanks for the great content i would buy you a few coffees but money is super tight, which makes this channel even more relevant for a lot of people budget friendly its nice to see cheaper parts get tested against expensive options
Man, i love your videos they have guided me well for these years for my gt. I do have a questoion though. I have been thinking about buying the sram nx groupset 1x12 i have been doing research and i think its works well on the bike when buying the dib bottom bracket but i dont know if the rear hub can fit the 12 speed? Pls help
Just found your channel & luv it! I plan on getting this GT in medium (my 1st bike) Im only 5'7. Just wondering what size the 1 in this vid is? I plan on watching ALL your "upgrade vids" on this GT (and other bikes) as I wana do the same. But money is tight so have to take my time. My 1 big concern is what fork's to get 🤷 Also I'll be going up steep hills so should I keep the stock drive or go 1 by or 2 by.. would a 1 by get me up a hill with ease? Thank you for your help & time!!
Hey brother thank you for being here and welcome to #wolfticknation!! Now my GT is a size Medium, a M should fit you fine. Now I would stick with the groupset for now and look into a Suntourfork, more expensive but once you get it you should be good for quite a while. Now here are some affiliate links oh and please checkout the recent videos on the GT Laguna Pro we worked on. The Acolyte is an affordable groupset and so.os the 1x ixf, I would go with it. Anyways man, good luck and thanks again. Hello own a GT aggressor pro M in green love it. Bike drivetrain is stock looking to upgrade to 1x. Looking at the micro shift acolyte stuff and Ixf crankset and confused? A list of what I need for the conversion would be greatly appreciated thanks.
I used to have a Trek Marlin 4. I’m a beginner. Would you recommend getting a Marlin 5 or the GT Aggressor Pro Mountain Bike? I’m doubting because of budget and because of the 29 vs 27.5 tires. Thank you!
Man let's just say, I rode the Axum dp with a guy who was on a stock marlin 5 (axum was also stock) The axum was more slacked out and had a better stance and was cheaper....I would buy an Axum dp or axum of it were me
Haven't seen that table in a long time!! Looking forward to seeing viewers rides again and updates on some of the old classic Wolftick bikes. Are you a tad bit thicker grip guy now instead of a thin grip guy? Stay slothy 🦥
Now slothsquatch, please don't assume that ever again. Now furthermore regarding the table yes, very excited to film another GT vid and man Viewers Rides is gonna be awesome!! Later Slothsquatch!! 🤣🤣🤣 thicker grip guy ha ha ha!! Crazy as hell

Thank you for the comment man 💪
Glad to see the Aggressor PRO back on the channel. It's the bike that lead me to discovering the channel
Man so thankful it did, thank you 😊
Congrats on your 15K!!! I took an old tube and put three black zip ties on it for a chainstay protector. Budget!!! Some people have asked me where I bought it. It works well.

🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤣 I feel ya man, sometimes I wanna leave without one! Still after miles of walking.....One day I will learn🤣🤣🤣
Happy to hear that Viewer's Rides is back!! Also, glad to see updates on past builds. As usual, great job on the videos! Thank you my dudes!
Thank you Greg, looking forward to some viewers rides!!
Awesome! I did a tubeless conversion on my son's bike. Went pretty smooth, although I do have a compressor.
Man oh man, tubeless got me wore out!! LOL But I wanted to do it like most would have!! LOL So basically your a cheater!!😆😆🤪😁
Ive I used ixf cranksets, ive got no complaints
Man they are solid!
The real reasons I went with Microshift are:
1: Budget friendly compared to other brands with comparable quality.

Cheers to you guys, got my GT this morning took it to get serviced. Just waiting to try some upgrades 😊
I’ll be getting mine this week
And I’ve been watching your videos for the last 2 months almost every day doing all my homework on this build….I hope you both keep making videos…mine will be coming out as well
Awesome to hear man, thank you for the views and the plan is to keep on going!! LOL Thanks for the comment.
Need to get my GT back out now that it's finally warming up! Great videos as always!
Pull it out of the shed and SHRED!! Nice Nice see you Zulu!!
I'm 220lbs and have the IXFs on a hardtail I've taken off drops and hit jumps. No problems. IXFs are the real deal.
🙏 AGREE!!
Great video! You've come along way with that thing!
I have been watching the channel since you guys took the GT out on Bluejay in stock form and it’s still one of my favorite bikes. It’s hard to not love the bike that started it all man. I will send over a pic of the full squish “CHEECH” for the viewers rides lol.
HELL YEAH!! Looking forward to it brother🤘
Yes sir, I remember showing your GT a while back, but I completely erstand coming from New Mexico!! Hate them goat heads man!!
Oh you know I wanna see my rides on display for the #wolfticknation baby! GT AGGRESSOR PRO 4 LIFE!
🙏🙏🙏 LETS SEE THAT EMAIL! I REMEMBER WHEN THE BOYS WERE FEATURED
It's cool to see viewers rides coming back. Although my bike collection doesn't really qualify as budget since the frames are all 18+ yrs old or older and cost over $1000 each when new. Granted I picked most of them up used for WAY less than that. They were all dream bikes for me when new.
Man send them anyways, we have shown some expensive rides! No bike shaming here
You guys are great! I bought a gt aggressor pro after I gained weight after a serious surgery and surpassed what my 90's Cannondale suspension could handle. Your upgrade videos have helped me get my bike to the point where I love riding it. Keep up the good work!
Man thank you for the comment, very inspiring. Thanks for that man, glad you are riding again 👍 🙏
Sweet! I was hoping you'd put these on the GT!
THEY MADE IT!! Thanks for being here still and also so happy we used them as well. Much love Paul, oh and thank you for the COFFEES!!!!!
Great episode. Cutt'n to the Chase...
Thanks brother, glad you enjoyed 😉
Love your content and interacting either you guys either here or on Facebook. Just ordered me a new hoodie
Awesome man! Thanks for sporting the merch👍😎
I am almost 200 lbs an I run ixf on my bike with hundreds of miles an I would definitely recommend them to anyone budget build or not!
Absolutely man🙏
Great video love the talk looking forward to seeing the other bikes you are going to take about keep up the good work 👍
Yes sir, thank you and looking forward to some more bikes!! Glad you are as well. Thanks

Dude they are such a sweet affordable upgrade!
Cranks and pedals against the frame colour looks factory! Bike turned out awsomet

We miss hot tub wolf man. Those original unboxing videos were the best. Need that warm weather back haha
Yes we do, and Wolfman with his opening of the beer when I use to say, let's break into it 🤣🤣🤦♂️
Mr. Tick is correct.. Ovals do make a difference
YES!!!! LOL 😉

Great video guys 🤙🏾 new subscriber here, just bought myself a gt aggressor pro as my first beginner mtb and its a blast so far thank you guys.
Yes sir, thank you for subbing and good luck man. The GT is hell of a bike and as you can see it's a very good platform. 👍

@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS That's fair lol
I'm a 240lbs rider and my ixf held up on small drops and jumps just fine 😁
👍👍😛
VIEWERS WIFES BABY!!! OOPS I MEAN VIEWERS RIDES!!😯😯😯😉 O will never forget your God Awful Ugly Bikes!!!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS listen, don't hate the radd ratt, it was the thing to have back then 😂😂😂
I like the ovals. Saw a study showing they helped on climbs but we’re not as good on flats. So yes. I would not use them for road riding but they are good for mountain biking where there is a lot of climbing.
I swear my knee hurts less with an oval.
SCIENCE BABY!! Thank you Lebron, I will be sure to tell Wolfman your findings 🔬🧪🥼
I have cush core & tubeless on my 2021 trek slash 07 & I run 18pis in the back & 16psi in the front & I weight 168lbs. Cush core protects your rims from damage. I get really good grip & have not had flat in 2 years.
Man Ryan, one day we will try that stuff out. Inthinknit would be interesting... We hear good things about it, just not the insta process!! LOL
Hell yeah cant wait to show off my new bike on viewers rides :D
Looking forward to it brother!!
Looking forward to it brother!!
IXF cranks are very good, run them on all my bikes I've had, with no problems at all.
🔥🔥👍
My current bike came with tubes which I killed on the first day. Went fully tubeless after that and not a flat since in 11 months and 3 more tyres. I couldn't afford to ride WITH tubes where I live as pick thorns and goats heads from between my knobs on a weekly basis. But i agree with the inflation thing, Sometimes i can get it pumped up with a hand pump but i found a cheap compressor on marketplace (one of the best tools in my workshop) to make it all easier.
Nice, completely understand man. The GT is tubeless and we are going the same route on the Patreon Build. LOL
I just had LBS put a new tire on my emtb...for $15 it's definitely worth it for them to switch the tubeless tire!!!
15x1=$15
15x32=$480
SCIENCE!! 🥼🤪🤪
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I'm not saying go all tubeless. Just that if you have 1 bike, it can be less hassle/sometimes cheaper to have LBS do it (would of had K do it but between his shoulder and finger, well, he's getting old!!)
I love the GT aggressor Pro I bought me one too
Hell yeah man, they are sweet!!
The play lists are great, going through all your videos is worth it but I like just going to the specific list since I have a short attention... Squirrel...
🤣🤣🤣🤣 A little adhd Chuck! LOL
Great video guys 💪🏾love the bike very scientific 😉 great update review 💯
That's what you get with us brother, SCIENCE!!🥼🧪🔬
I run a ghetto tubeless setup. I just remove the valve stem from a tube and fill it with sealant. I am not a weight weenie, so I don't care about the less than 1 pound it might add. I don't have to worry about a tubeless ready wheel or rim tape or tubeless valve stems. I have not had any issues with this setup.
Hmmm...
nice i picked this up at a yard sale for 100. its in good shape. but, my wife and friend who works at a lbs think its a money pit and not worth upgrading. looks like a solid bike to upgrade.
MN we made a channel off it!👍👍😉
Happy bike day guys. I won’t be doing much riding today 😅 it snowed last night here
Oh My God!! That's crazy, please come live in Arkansas 🤣🤣🤣😁
6:57 that's a great clamp design. Easy to install and remove. The Formula Cura 4, have this type of clamp too.
🙏
I have race face peddles, those little screws will slice you open lol but they do grip really well I like them a lot. I did just destroy a tube in my rear wheel though cause I rode up a stair set going too fast and now I'm looking into rebuilding my rear wheel and running tubeless with a better rim and foam inserts
That sounds like a great idea! We have been wanting to try the different inserts as well. Let us know how you like them 👍
I have IxF and Bolany Cranksets doing great and oiled with me at 280LbS!!!
Hell yeah, nothing wrong with that, glad you are a testament!!
Got both rear and front 2.5 maxxis tires on my GT aggressor. And if my tire were more bent theyd rub. But they do the job!
I see, you like to cut it close!! LOL 😉
Great video thank for upgrade on the gt 👋🏻
Yes sir, thank you for watching!!
I would never go back to tubes. I havnt had a flat since I changed all the bikes over to tubeless.
🤪🤪🤪
Man I have learned so much off this channel watching what your doing and how your doing it man it’s awesome to be subscribed to a channel with this much user friendly content for people that can’t afford a $7000 mountain bike. I’m really needing a recommendation on a fork for my xr pro I’m getting ready to convert to a 1x11 and a fork and it will be done I just need some suggestions PLEASE!!!

GOOD LUCK BROTHER!
I would order my stuff then have a shop install👍 Best of both worlds
good video
definitely going to upgrade my GT
You guys are rock stars! I have been watching for a while, thank you for all of your feedback and tutorials! Question for you, i just purchased the deckas chainring to go from 3x8 to 1x8... Do I need a Chain guide, do you experience any chain drops or slaps?
Hey brother thank you for the comment man. Now I would get a chainstay protector before I put a chain guide on there. Just remember to shorten using our video!! LOL 😉 OH BE SURE TO BUY A MASTERLINK! GOOD LUCK MAN
Budget bike hero!!!!!
Hell yeah, got me singing the foreigner song now!! "Be a budget bike heroooooo"🤣🙏
You boys need to get a set of 26 X-fusion for a 26er build. 👍
🤣🤣🤣 I KNOW!!
I think the only reason to go tubeless is to run low pressure. I run mine at 30 upfront and 34 rear, I'm a heavy rider (250 pounds) and I have yet to have any issues with flats or losing the bead.
Agree man, I think it's a descent option for those who can afford it and ride a bunch!!
Seriously don’t get the IXF haters, I have used a pile of them. My Axum project has over 3000 miles on one, zero problems.👍
🙏🙏🙏
You really should try some different bats Johannes
Yup, 1st!
Dammit!! LOL 2nd!
🏆🥇👍😂
I had 28 punctures in a month years ago. 😁 It would be mad for me to continue like that. I know you can use sealant but some sealants will hlog up the tube, I've not experimented with tube spesific sealant sor my current choice of sealant, but I use Cush Core so I use tubeless anyway.
Man we hear good stuff about cush core, I wonder with all thay hard riding you do what you ised... Thanks
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS ised? Nothing as I wear pads.
Really??
Thanks about the Clark (spelling?) rotors
???
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS next month, will be buying Four-Pot brakes, *Rotors* and other things. Hence a good brand of Rotor is useful.

🙏🙏🙏
Your new peddles there. The pins look quite short. I'm still enjoying my Shimano aluminum peddles. 3/8 inch pins. They stick nicely to my flat shoes. Lol
But what size pins are available for the Rock Bros peddles?
No clue man, the pedals were Raceface Chester's. The pins 📌 are pretty knargly brother, I could not imagine a pin longer LOL!!
I have that same group set on my ibex asta 07 pro I love it mine has to chain stay and is a 11x48 I have a 32 tooth chain ring on front and it's a 26er

I plan on getting this GT in medium (my 1st bike) Im only 5'7. Just wondering what size the 1 in this vid is? I plan on watching ALL your "upgrade vids" on this GT (and other bikes) as I wana do the same. But money is tight so have to take my time. My 1 big concern is what fork's to get 🤷
Also I'll be going up steep hills so should I keep the stock drive or go 1 by or 2 by.. would a 1 by get me up a hill with ease? Thank you for your help & time!!
Hey brother thank you for being here and welcome to #wolfticknation!! Now my GT is a size Medium, a M should fit you fine. Now I would stick with the groupset for now and look into a Suntourfork, more expensive but once you get it you should be good for quite a while.
